Nuts Update

For those who aren't in the Discord channel: an update!

I had the nerve blocker procedure done without issue. It's still early on for me to give a definite answer if it's helping or not, but as of this moment I'd say that it's around 80-90% better than what it was before. It was never meant to solve the underlying cause of the problem as none of the doctors I visited could pinpoint what exactly it was, but it more or less seems to be reducing the pain signals from reaching my nut. I can sit down/lay down normally and I'm pretty good, but if I'm laying there on my sides pressing my legs together and compressing my nuts, then there's general discomfort akin to what it was before. Not a perfect cure all, but will definitely increase the standard of living. I'm still under the 24 hour painkillers that I took last night before going to bed, so I'm thinking I'll give it a few days/weeks to see if it's going to be a permanent thing.

Also talked to the doctor about the whole insurance thing, and he mentioned that the reasoning for the procedure not being covered was due to some change Blue Cross Blue Shield did starting this year. He did went and changed my diagnosis to fit under what BCBS considered to be covered, as technically I do have it, but as of when I went today I still had to pay the $700. Time will tell if they'll refund me, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

As for the second visit in two weeks, I guess it's not for a second shot after all? They had me scheduled for a check up visit in 2-3 weeks, but I already had one set up, so I'm not sure if there was some miscommunication. If that's the case, then maybe I won't be dealing with such a financial blow after all. Great for me!

But since I did promise some sort of pay what you want sketch commission stream type thing, I'll still try to set something up in the next couple of weeks. Just know that I'm not in as bad as a financial decision as I was before, so feel free to adjust whatever you're willing to pay accordingly (or nothing at all because, hey, pay what you want!).

I'm in good spirits for the time being. Let's hope this whole fucking fiasco is finally coming to some sort of conclusion, even if it's not a perfect ending. I'll gladly take a C+ to B- rated ending than where I was feeling just a few months ago.
