Post Nerve Block Shot Update

Second shot over and done with. This shot was more of a specified nerve shot unlike last time, which was a general area shot. Idea being this one will (supposedly) do a better job with limiting the pain.

I'm going to describe my experience now, so if you don't want to feel second hand pain stop reading.

So anyway, I didn't have anesthesia this time around. They gave me something that was suppose to be akin to taking alcohol in terms of feeling relaxed, and told that I'll be conscious so I can talk to the doctor and respond, but my memory would be spotty and I might even forget that the procedure happened at all.

Of course, it didn't do any of that, and I was more or less aware of everything.

What happened is they stabbed a giant needle above my crotch, which felt like having a giant needle or safety pin stabbing above your crotch. Then they started prodding around different nerves, asking me to say when I could feel the pain in my testicle. Cue almost nonstop stabbing feeling that's traveling around a bit, except not to my testicle. After a minute or two, it felt like a pressure squeezed into my nut along with a sharp stabbing pain. I told the doctor "There it goes."

He went "good," and then we proceeded to repeat the process again from the start so he could be double sure that was the correct nerve. After more stabbing, then another round of weird pressure going into my nut and stabbing, he gave me the shot and I was done.
