So Woolie has an interesting perspective, and maybe he has insight I don't as someone who just got into Berserk, but when Woolie was talking as if the demon fetus was meant to become Griffith's new body; I actually disagree. I feel like it's the one point where the chain of causality was broken. Guts and Casca were meant to die, but because the fetus protected them from Mozgul, it was dying on the tower. The living behelit spoke as if he alone was meant to provide Griffith's new body, but on his climb up he pitied the fetus and brought it along, causing Femto to inherit the baby's love for it's parents, thus why Griffith transforms on the full moon and why he looks like Guts and Casca's child. I admittedly haven't read the new chapters so I'm not sure if my take has been disproven or not, but hearing that Woolie hadn't read them at the time of recording makes me feel like either I'm on to something here, or Woolie simply forgot that the fetus wasn't meant to be part of the equation.

It’s been a great experience being able to see my friends go through the story for the first time and the emotional journey we’ve been through. It’s also been a good excuse to finally buy all the deluxe volumes.
