2020-09-21 18:36:07 +0000 UTCLiving in Colorado my entire life I always felt a personal connection with Sai King and always thought it was so cool that a popular novelist was setting some of his stories where I lived. I’ll never forget the summer I read the Shining my parents took me on a trip to Estes Park to tour the Stanley Hotel, I finished the book that night. Finishing the book in the place of its inception was an experience I’ll never forget. Needless to say I’ve been a constant reader ever since. Happy Birthday Uncle Stevie!

The long walk set me off on the path to being a constant reader. I’ve read and reread my favorites, journeyed on the path of the beam, and have loved every minute of reading kings works no matter how much pound cake is included. His writings have kept me going in my hardest of times, and elevated my best times. Happy birthday Sai King!!!

Misery may be my favorite book, and I always loved the passage where Annie gives Paul her copies of the Misery books and apologizes for them being so beat up and says that meant she really loved them. I read Misery just once when it first came out and still remember that. It made Annie human, and ultimately more horrifying.
