I thought Numrich's portrayal of Thumper sounded a little like an evil Jim Carrey character or even Jack Nicholson.

And Jamie's mother lied to Jamie to protect him from the frustration that his father lost his mind and doesn't know him as his son. The ideas about incest could just be Jamie trying to make sense out of what it means for the uncle to say he's the father. Thoughts?

2021-03-14 02:56:06 +0000 UTCThe last 10 years of King sure seems like he’s running thin on inspiration but his writing craft is as sharp as ever. The end result is still some super-readable novels. I get why Later was put out as one of his crime books, and its definitely better than colorado kid

2021-03-14 00:47:27 +0000 UTCJust want to throw my two cents in her... in regards to how Stephen King depicts Mothers... its probably more comfortable for him to depict overbearing/crazy moms because he had such a good relationship with his Mom, whereas it ain't no fun to reflect on his absentee father... 🤷♂️
