Buffy the Vampire Slayer 2x17 "Passion" Full Reaction

Buffy the Vampire Slayer 2x17 "Passion" Full Reaction

Angelus is one of my favourite villains in all of media, and this episode almost perfectly explains why. By the end of it, you absolutely despise him, but he's such a well done villain. He's doing what he does "For the Evulz". Because making people suffer is fun to him, but you can see there's a definite target behind all of it. Everything he does is pure evil, and he's having a blast being evil, but none of it really feels random.

Ryan Anderson

This is one of my favorite episodes, as painful as it is to watch. Your reaction only makes it better. When you yelled at Angel to go to hell during his monologue, I laughed so hard. I know, nothing about this episode is funny or fun, but you're such a cinnamon roll that when you got mad, I jumped, and then I laughed. And I just love that when you say you hate him, you say you hate Angelus. You separate his evil in your mind. That's just beautiful.

My inner techno-side of me is dying. Please tell me people didn't mistaken the floppy disk for a hard drive?

Noooooo !!! Poor Giles :'(

Nooo not at all :) If I am a bit slowish to reply, life has me grappled haha. But it's great to get an insight on the phone conversation, although admittedly, you had a feeling what the message was going to say but you can hear the character's voices with that dialogue in your head. AND OZ WAS SUPPOSED TO D...WHAT THE HELL? SO WE WERE GONNA HURT CINNAMON ROLL AN EPISODE AFTER SHE KISSED OZ? Then again, why am I surprised? I am a Fitzsimmons shipper so I should be used to this xD

Episodes like this and the two parters we've currently had so far do solidify those statements to me! This episode, I just couldn't with Giles. My heart hurt so much for him in this episode. And I should have Episode 18 (aka Nightmare on Elm Street meets Buffy) up tomorrow :D

Great reaction. For me this is one of the best episodes there is in terms of just how powerful andheartbreaking it is. Thewriters reallyupped their game here, and this iswhy so many fans say the show really gets going in s2. So many twists and turns. Giles breaks my heart so much this episode... cant wait to see more reactions!

As always I'm posting some trivia from the episode🙂 I really hope you like it, cause if you don't tell me and I'll stop😉 1.) Originally, Angel was supposed to kill Oz, but his character had a lot of potential so the decision was made to kill Jenny instead. 2.) A fan of Buffy, singer Ed Sheeran sampled the track "Remembering Jenny" from this episode in his song "Afire Love". 3.) Jenny is killed when Angel is in vamp face, as Joss did not want the audience to truly hate Angel's face 4.) When Buffy and Willow learn about Jenny's death, this is the dialogue you can't hear: Willow: "So was it horrible?" Buffy: "It wasn't too horrible." [phone rings] "Hello?" Giles: "Buffy?" Buffy: "Giles! Hey, we finished the spe-" Giles: "Jenny… Ms. Calender… She's been killed." Buffy: "What…?" Giles "It was Angel." Buffy drops the phone. Willow: "Buffy?" [She picks up the phone] "Giles?" Giles: "Willow. Angel's killed Jenny." Willow: "What? No… Oh… No…" Joyce: "Willow! My God, Buffy! What's wrong? Has something happened?"

Oh maan I was waiting for this. Troughout whole reaction I was thinking, oh you poor Liam, you have no idea. This is gonna gut you, and you did not dissappoint. I'm sadistic I know.😁 Whedo gives us the thing we want most in the most painful way possible, just for us to realise we don't really want it anymore☹ Btw, you are one of the rare ones who remembered that Jenny backed up her things on floppy disk not on hard drive

........................IT.MAKES.SENSE.... DAMN IT WHEDON, YOU SNEAKY SON OF A...I hate him. Now that I think back to Innocence, that was 100% foreshadowing to me. WHY?

Liam Catterson

Great reaction! This one fucks everyone up. Remember Buffy's dream in Innocence where she's standing at a grave, Angelus tells her "you have to know what to see," and then she sees Jenny there lifting her funeral veil? And so Buffy realizes Jenny is involved and grabs her by the throat and slams her down on the desk? Well, my theory is that the dream was actually prophecizing Jenny's death, not her betrayal. The grave in the dream is Jenny's actual grave we see in this episode, it's right next to a pretty distinctive pond.
