You aren't going to notice the flaws, and if you do, it's not like it spoils the plot or anything. If that's the DVD you have, and it got you, someone new, to dive into the Slayerverse... GOOD. Everyone else need to settle down :P

I thought you might have been more delighted... or amused, perhaps... to have a character using your sign off. Surprises are the spice of life! That's why we all watch Buffy, and that's why we watch you guys.

2020-02-05 07:52:14 +0000 UTCSo just to be clear, it's not the HD version? It's the correct version just in widescreen? I've done my best to avoid the HD version so I don't know where to look for flaws in each episode, but this one seemed fine. There are a couple widescreen issues I can think of just this season, but they don't truly affect the emotional part of the viewing experience like other HD issues do. You can just shrug and move on.

Starting in Season 4 they filmed in widescreen but Joss didn't intend it to air that way so in North America it aired in 4:3 however here in the UK it was shown in widescreen. When Buffy was released on DVD America got the 4:3 version and Europe got the 16:9 version. So while you are not seeing it as the creators intended you are seeing how it originally aired on UK TV.
