Did you notice that when Willow spoke to Buffy after they had both been away all night, she set the cat’s eye crystal on the dresser, and also used it during the air ionization spell. I guess she took it from Tara after all

“If you think that’s enough to kill me you really don’t know what a slayer is” I live for Buffy’s badass moments

It sucks but it sounds like introducing Adam couldn't be helped but be a factor to fill the void. Would've loved to have seen how much more darker Maggie could've become.

So here's what happened at this point in the season.
A member of Joss' writing team sat on the remote and put the plot into fast forward.

Rachel, does this mean that her departure being initiated by her... is a myth? It sounds like, it doesn't it?

Lindsay Crouse was on a recent Buffering the Vampire Slayer podcast, and she said that she went to Joss to discuss scheduling, and he cheerfully told her that they were killing her off in two episodes. It's an entertaining interview, and Crouse spoke enthusiastically about the experience. I was surprised, tbh.

I believe there was a play or movie that she signed on for and couldn't continue the season.

Loved your reaction! 😊
Maggie was supposed to be the big bad this season, but the actress wanted out of the contract. Switching to Adam was the best improvisation they could make.
