My wife and I have gone through many of the entries in the series such as: Great 1, Ace Attorney 1 - 5, Edgeworth 1, and Ghost Trick (yes, Ghost Trick counts). At the time of writing this we’re actually going back through the series and intend to tackle the three games we’ve yet to hit now that they’re all on the Switch. In any event the idea of a young character who goes through great trauma and ends up needing diapers is an idea that has appealed to me as well as how those in a family can show love across lines that might be unexpected by the name given to their relationship. Themes of family and care between others are ones that have always appealed to me. Maya and Pearl Fey are cousins, but through all they deal with they end up as sisters in so many ways, sisters without a mother figure even to help them get through and a mountain of expectation thrust upon them. The two were among my favorite characters in the series and I wanted to give them a bit of love, especially Pearl who displays a great deal of worry that her behavior will get her punished by her mother in one way or another when she is first introduced.
