Oz and Willow's final scene in this episode echoes their conversation in the van in Innocence. They were teenagers then. They are adults now. The maturity that they've gained in 2 years is a testament to the writing. Their development feels totally organic to me.

2020-05-06 02:10:45 +0000 UTCThis is one of my favorite episodes. For some reason I always adore the episodes that make me cry, and goodness knows Joss Whedon is a master at that. This episode broke my heart over Willoz. I still adore that relationship from it's pre-Veruca days. But more importantly (imo) it finally canonically confirmed that Tara and Willow are truly in a relationship. That was pretty groundbreaking. There were definitely shows with a lot of lesbian subtext (Xena is my best example, god I loved that show too), but none (that I had seen) had ever had a confirmed lesbian couple, especially not with a main character. This episode was a revelation for little 14 year old me back in the day. I knew gay men were a thing and that was completely normal in my world (I had a gay uncle), but this episode was literally the first time I had ever even considered girls could be together romantically too. Cut to two years later I had a girlfriend of my own lol. The influence of this episode on my life cannot be underestimated. Thanks for another great reaction Liam!
