Lucifer 2x12 "Love Handles" Full Reaction

Love Handles- Yes!!! I have been so excited for you to watch this episode and the next one too!!! What happens in the end of this episode... phenomenal and what a devastating cliffhanger!! :) Now... Love Handles is a phenomenal episode and like I said before, it is easily one of my absolute favorites throughout season two, as well as throughout the entire show, along with the next episode too. I love everything about this episode. From Chloe's dream about making love with Lucifer after their kiss they shared on the beach, to the case, the killer played by actor... Tim DeKay who is best known for the TV series, White Collar, the adorable awkwardness between Lucifer and Chloe in the aftermath of their first intimate moment together on the beach, and to seeing Lucifer finally believe that he and Chloe are real in spite of his fears, only for his happiness to suddenly come crashing down around him in the end thanks to his own mother. It's all so, so fabulous!! :) But to back up a little... First, I absolutely love Chloe's dream about Lucifer as she dreams of them beginning to make love, even after Chloe looks up at him again and sees horns on top of his head, which immediately dashes every fangirls' hope that what's happening between Chloe and Lucifer in this moment isn't real, since we know Lucifer doesn't have horns like he once told Chloe he didn't back in season one's episode... Manly Whatnots. And then... the moment she suddenly awakens, Chloe is appalled and embarrassed to see Maze sitting in the chair beside her bed eerily and eagerly watching her have a sex dream while eating popcorn. But before Maze leaves her alone again, she offers Chloe some good advice. That she should loosen up a little and throw caution to the wind. Unfortunately for Chloe, her attempts to try to take Maze's advice only continues to backfire on her, because Lucifer has become so afraid that Chloe's kisses didn't mean to her like they meant to him, and he doesn't understand whether or not her feelings for him are truly real. All of which Lucifer then expresses to Linda in his next session with her. It's so sad that Lucifer struggles so much to understand why Chloe really kissed him. And that comes from his belief that Chloe couldn't possibly feel the way for him that he feels for her. Love. He doesn't believe Chloe could ever love him like he loves her, especially after he pointed out his lesser qualities. Linda tries to explain, but sadly, Lucifer is too quick to come up with any plausible reason for why Chloe claims to care about him, as he thinks maybe she's no longer immune to his charms, then leaves Linda's office so he can join Chloe at their latest crime scene. I love the awkwardness between them once Chloe first slaps Lucifer's butt to try to get some kind of fun and excited reaction from him. She then tries a few more times to be cute, only for her to continue to fail at getting the kind of response from him she's looking for, or that she would expect from Lucifer that he's always shown her and other women until this point. So cute! And so funny. :) Next... I love the overall case about Dr. Carlisle and how he forces people to make such devastating choices... whether or not to save themselves and all their hard work, or the person also being threatened would also die. And while Carlisle is creepy, sadistic, and despicable, I love him as an antagonist within an episode of this phenomenal show. He's actually one of my overall favorite minor antagonists throughout all four seasons so far. I especially love the scene between him, Chloe, and Lucifer inside the lab at the college. Unfortunately, Lucifer and Chloe can't break inside the room protecting him from being apprehended by Chloe, and stopping her and Lucifer from rescuing the two boys who are about to die at this killer's hands. Then... once Carlisle runs out after smashing the vial to release the poison gas into the air, I love how Lucifer assures Chloe that he can save the victims, so long as she goes after the doctor. I love how he asks her if she trusts him, to which she answers that she does without a doubt. Chloe hesitates only for a moment, not because she doesn't trust in Lucifer, but because she's afraid for him, which I love as well. It's great how Lucifer cuts into his wrist in order to test his vulnerability once Chloe's left the room to chase after Carlisle, and I love seeing him break through the door and enter the room now filling with poison gas, only for him once again becoming immortal upon Chloe being at a safe distance. Meanwhile... Chloe chases after the doctor and nearly catches him at one point until he knocks her off of him with a painful punch to her side. Then... much to her surprise, Carlisle kills himself before she can arrest him, trying to prove to her that just like all of his experiments proved, he had no choice but to do as he was about to do. I really love the overall case, with the doctor choosing his victims who match himself and who match the Uber driver killed within the accident that ruined his entire life. In order to see if those who he believes matches himself would choose to save themselves, or the other victims instead. Sadly, yet very bravely, the second victim... another doctor, destroys her own hand in order to save the life of the teenage girl Carlisle had poisoned, while the actor couldn't cut up his own face to save the other teenager. And of course I can't blame him though. His choice was an impossible choice to make. Plus... he didn't even believe the choice was real until he later learns that the very same kid who was threatened turns up dead. Neither this actor, or this doctor would have been to blame no matter what choices they would have made. I love the scenes between Chloe and Lucifer outside of the fraternity house when Lucifer tells Chloe she's beautiful when she asks him how she looks upon trying to make herself look more like a college student and not so much like a cop, as well as when they're inside one of the rooms upstairs as Chloe catches Lucifer talking to a group of girls about her and whether or not she could be truly falling for him as he has for her, after these girls helped him track down the girl who had been poisoned. So cute. And thankfully, they are able to save the girl who is poisoned in time too. My absolute favorite moment... is in the end between Lucifer and Chloe once again, when Chloe returns to Lucifer after Carlisle kills himself, as Chloe is worried about Lucifer knowing that he had risked his life to save the two kidnapped boys from being killed. I just love the fear in her eyes for Lucifer, then seeing the immediate relief and happiness upon seeing him alive and well, as she immediately hugs him and smiles up at him. I love, love, love how Lucifer then asks, "This... is real. Isn't it?", to which Chloe simply nods and they continue to hold one another. So beautiful!! :) And lastly... another of my favorite scenes comes in the very end, when Lucifer becomes absolutely devastated upon discovering the picture of Amenadiel with Penelope, then is cruelly told by his mother that Chloe was put in his path by his father and that her love for him isn't real. The pain in Lucifer's eyes is heartbreaking and you can deeply feel his heart just shatter into pieces, as he struggles to breathe while remembering all of the beautiful moments he and Chloe have shared together since they've met. And the look of pure rage in Lucifer's eyes when he suddenly storms into her home to confront Chloe, asking her if she's known she is all a part of his father's plans for him and if she has been manipulating him all along, only for his rage to immediately turn into nothing but fear for her upon seeing Chloe has been poisoned... absolutely incredible! I love, love, love seeing the pure emotions Tom Ellis is so brilliant at showing us. I absolutely believe that the feelings and love blooming between Lucifer and Chloe is all real. But sadly, I can completely understand Lucifer's inability to understand this. After all... he is the Devil, known throughout the world to be all evil and some terrifying monster responsible for everyone's sins. And while Lucifer knows Chloe doesn't believe him to be the Devil, she does know how irrational, irritating, and even dark he can be. Lucifer confesses to her on the beach that he is unworthy of her and of course he believes this, otherwise he wouldn't have said so. And he's deeply afraid Chloe won't ever be able to accept the real him if he were to show her his Devil face, as was established back in the episode... Homewrecker. So for Lucifer to finally come to believe that Chloe really could potentially love him, only for his world to become shattered with his mother's revelation about Chloe being a miracle sent in his path from his father, whom he has hated for eons... so heartbreaking. And as we know, this is exactly what Charlotte wants. I still love Charlotte as a character and as a phenomenal antagonist, but she is a character I love to hate because, man... I really hate her in this moment. So, so cruel. I can't believe she has been encouraging Lucifer to allow himself to fall for Chloe and to get close to her, only to rip it all away from him in order to hurt him so that he will come to choose to move back to Heaven with her and his brother. Agh! I want to slap her so hard!! I also truly appreciate Maze that much more in this scene too, for trying to protect Lucifer from finding out because she doesn't want to hurt him. Sadly, she couldn't protect him. However, at least she does care about him and leaves the bar with him. Maze has definitely come a long way. Season two is easily the best season for her character. What a phenomenal episode!!! Thank you so, so much once again for your reaction for it, Liam!! I'm so excited for the next episode!! You're gonna love it! So, until then, my friend...
