2020-10-28 02:31:18 +0000 UTCIn Listening to Fear, Joyce made Buffy promise that she would take care of and protect Dawn if she died. Of course, Buffy would have taken care of Dawn and wouldn't be any less upset about Glory taking Dawn if she hadn't promised Joyce, but on top of all the other reasons to sit on the ground with that look on her face, Buffy is breaking a promise to her dead mother.
