August Update: Cut from the Rough

Hofstadter's Law: It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law.
Feels like we've been "so close" for like a month, doesn't it? There is a rough cut. There is a list of tweaks and revisions to make to the visuals. Several are underway. My hope was to have finished cut for Nebula and patrons today, and then launch on YouTube Monday. That is clearly not gonna happen. I find this endlessly frustrating.
But it'll be done soon! The tweaks are small, but I've got a wonky schedule this week that doesn't give me a ton of sit-down time to work. Just snatches of a few hours here and there. So we're annoyingly incremental at the moment. Having not released anything for a full freaking year, this is making me antsy.
I'll probably jump straight into Protagony after this so I can turn something around quickly.

2022-09-11 21:53:47 +0000 UTCThat's a pretty familiar pattern for my own work, so I can relate. Why is the last 5% always the hardest and takes the longest than any previous block of 5%? You've heard this a million times from us already, but it's worth repeating: It will be done when it's done. We'll continue to look forward to it until then.
