Steve, some British football sayings that are common: "Come on you lads!!" when you're cheering your club on. "GETT IN!!" when your team scores. "Come on, son!" when you're happy or mad at a particular player. If you're really mad, "F off, you silly sod", "Oh, Piss off, ref", and always fun to chant "Same Old 'insert opponent team name' Always Cheating!!". British commentators are another story, their choice of words are hilarious and wonderful.

2025-01-08 19:10:05 +0000 UTCNikki & Steven, all the comments mentioned how great this episode was (which it is), the Nate Roast, the introduction of Sassy who is truly amazing and so perfect to put her in the mix NOW, the Everton win (Everton is Paul McCartney's favorite team) the karaoke bar, Rebecca caring and looking out for Ted, Roy & Keely's budding relationship, Rebecca and her waiter guy, Sassy taking charge with Ted when he could use IT the most (this will be better understood soon), yet with all this greatness the next episode is truly EPIC and one of the greatest TV episodes ever written and acted (I know!!!! I have said this about all the episodes but I mean it this time!! LOL) So please watch the next one ASAP!!!! Can't wait to see your faces for THAT SPECIAL, GLORIOUS, OHH SO SATISFYING MOMENT!!!!!! Nikki you are so spot on saying this is feel good TV because it is and very few shows even come close!!!!

What a great episode ☺️ I’m also not mad at Michelle because she’s the one that had to sit at home for a while and ponder and be miserable over a relationship that was clearly over a while ago. I would probably be rushing too so I can finally be free of the misery that I’ve been living in while Ted has been in a different country doing just fine. I can’t judge her because I don’t know how that must’ve felt and now that he’s freed her she just wants to get back to her old self.

You'll be laughing your ass off one minute, and in tears 2 minutes later... but then the laughs again. The series is perfect. You'll want to keep watching, and watching, and watching.... ;)

A part of me wondered if he'd just been procrastinating and putting it off, but they never mentioned anything like that. I wish he'd have been bolder and said - Yes, I have the paperwork - I will address it when I return from our away game. :)

I wasn't annoyed with Michelle at all before this episode, but she kept sending messages to Ted, he's on an away game and she knows that, he's not going to have much time. She already talked to him once about signing the paperwork, give him some time, but then she sent the text, than had the lawyer contact him, it was kind of irritating.

It’s my happy, comfort show and I’ll sometimes put it on in the background when I’m cooking or cleaning or just need some company. Incidentally, I do the same for your channel where I will also put it on for company even if I’ve watched the ep already. This is such a perfect merging of comfort for me! 🤗

This show does a terrific job showing how people deal with real life issues, and how healing it can be to be kind to one another. (Also, football is life!)

2025-01-07 05:54:08 +0000 UTCBy the way, Nikki and Steven: if you want more of Rebecca singing, Hannah Waddingham has a Christmas special on Apple that's geared entirely around her singing (with appearances from several members of the Lasso cast (the actor who plays Jamie, for example, who also has a fantastic voice), along with other musical theater greats like Leslie Odom (of Hamilton fame). She's amazing. And I desperately need y'all to get to episode eight immediately. I mean, chances are you've watched it by now and haven't uploaded it but... in case you haven't, you'll know why soon enough.

I don't feel like it's a spoiler to mention that, at the end of the day, this show is as much about breaking down the stigma of dealing with mental health as anything else.

There’s a few other times when he’ll look at his hands and clench and unclench them. Another cool thing is his big hand gestures, but in other situations he’ll keep his hands in his pockets, a subtle subconscious anxiety management technique

I remember it's been like a decade since I've had a Scotch egg and man, I really need to eat one soon because they are SO GOOD. Also also: now that you've heard her sing, Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca) is a musical theater legend in the West End of London, and has done Broadway as well. Her mom was an opera singer so she grew up in it and, of course, has incredible pipes in her DNA. They make it a point to get her singing whenever they can.
