I also love how realistic this episode is with the battle at the end. Riding a horse and firing a handgun at the same time, you’re not likely to hit anything. Our protagonists taking fixed positions was the smartest move, which also makes sense as 3 of them were soldiers in the Civil War. And also, Sam is the GOAT!!!

Sam is the best!!!! And the Comanches, who thrived in this environment, were definitely some of the toughest people to ever walk the planet earth.

I watched this when it came out originally and I’m still damn near having a panic attack in every episode! I forgot how insane this show is! Amazing but goddamn insane! Holy shit!

I didn’t know that!

Steven, this is REALLY crazzzy …. my ggreat grandfather got hit with a TORNADO on his travel West, after the Civil War. Wrote about it in his autobiography. Their group….like 20 people died. It was near Oklahoma. This plot is accurate to reality. Wild

I can't wait for you guys to start 1923 show. You guys will have a whole different outlook. I can't wait for Season 2 of 1923. Really wanted a second season for 1883. They are in Kansas going to Colorado.

You can see where Beth's strength comes from both Elsa and Margaret. Margaret is strong and steady. Elsa is the wildness and independence that Margaret has buried deep within. I LOVED how Sheridan mirrored Beth's take on Heaven and Hell w/ Elsa's.

The knife Sam gave Elsa is the same knife that Kayce gave Thomas Rainwater. I love the way that came back around.

They’re in Oklahoma somewhere by this time. Last episode they were about to cross the Red River - the border between Oklahoma (then a territory) and Texas. Elsa mentioned seeing no snakes, game, or lizard in a week. So my guess is they are in northern Oklahoma by then (though there are plenty of snakes in Oklahoma). I grew up there and have seen more tornadoes than I would ever want. Now in Texas we do get some tornados here too but not like Oklahoma City.

Sam is the pool instructor from Yellowstone that Monica was dry humping on the couch

This is my fav episode of 1883.

Unrelated to this (and super happy for the folks who are into this show, by the way! So just making sure, no whining/shade intended!), I am sitting here checking over and over for the next Lasso upload. Shoot that right into my veins.

You're definitely not alone in the Sam fan club 🥵🥰

Capitalism, not people, has destroyed the Earth. That's definitely a theme in the Yellowstone universe. You see that juxtaposed with how the natives steward the land in this vs. "progress," and people like the Duttons in the middle of them, trying to hold off said progress as best they can.

Alexis Cardarella

The ending quote from Elsa. "Heaven and Hell co-exist, and God is the land" is the same thing Beth told Rip when they were sitting on top of the roof of the Yellowstone. Its the episode that she was attacked and Rip told her he loved her.

I love how you say "chill dude" . If only you knew what dating life is like in 2025. If you can even call that dating. You are so innocent

1883 was great but I'm just patiently waiting for whenever Ted Lasso 1x8 is released 😁

Elsa would be a great natural scientist/biologist

I agree Beth has Elsa's sprit and drive..I have seen this show 10 plus times and I still cry in every episode. Sam is a legend.

Andrea Bunting

Sam is Monica's physical therapist in Yellowstone!

Megan in California

Elsa dropped a Beth quote at the end, heaven hell, and god is the land. Beth dropped that quote in S2 E7. Beth is elsa reincarnated
