Comments

Not to sure if N&S are aware of this fact , it's way before there time!

Gary Perry

Who else was "barking"/ making dog noises, after that Diamond Dogs scene?! LOL As my cats looked at me like... WTF.. That, plus the darts scene...talk about good for the soul content! I love Nikki and Steven's genuine appreciation for this epic show!

Angel Groves

You should have seen my face when I read this comment. LOVE this kind of info...a bit ashamed I didn't know (or had forgotten?). Too great. :)

Angel Groves

FYI . 'Diamond Dog's ' is a classic album and song by David Bowie!

Gary Perry

I love rewatching this show with you. I can't wait to watch along as you unpeel other layers of the onion!

Joyce Yu

Lol sorry it's nothing against you but my attention span is shitake and I've been dealing with alot this week.

Chris Henderson

LOL

MAV293 (MARK)

I am not reading all that lol.

Chris Henderson

Chris, with all due respect, Sassy IS without question that type of character that is very head strong, extremely direct, and needs no coaching or needs to ask anyone for information (other than maybe the front desk) to get what she wants. When she comes back to the table after meeting Ted, she mentions having met a "Marlboro Man" (for those that don't know that reference, Marlboro cigarettes always had heavy mustached men in their advertising but TV ads for cigarettes stopped in 1971 and ad campaigns stopped in 1999 in the US but continued in the majority of the rest of the World for a few more years) as a quip to Keely and Rebecca is not there. Then after the team beats Everton, Rebecca attempts to introduce them unaware they have already met. At the karaoke bar, Sassy asked Rebecca about Ted but the conversation quickly shifts to Rebecca's feelings about Rupert. Then we see Rebecca comforting Ted during his panic attack. Ted heads back to the hotel and the team then comes out of the bar with Sassy going with the team and Rebecca headed back to the hotel to act on her desires that started at dinner. Nothing of Ted is mentioned again between Rebecca and Sassy with both going in opposite directions and I doubt very seriously that Sassy went to Rebecca's room to ask for the room number knowing why Rebecca was headed back to the hotel. Next thing we see is Sassy walking into to Ted's door. Of course reading between the lines anything is possible but Rebecca knowing the condition Ted is in recommending or sending anyone much less Sassy to his room to console him doesn't seem likely and knowing Rebecca would seem highly inappropriate, especially knowing what Sassy wants to do with him?? lol. It seems to me Sassy took it upon herself to make that move all on her own. The way you are reading it is possible and of course no one can prove you wrong and that is not my intent, believe what you want to believe but we didn't see that take place and I am offering just another viewpoint.

MAV293 (MARK)

i think that "Let It Go" possibly could have been a trigger for Ted because that song came around the time when Ted's son was born, and he misses his son and feels bad for not being around him. Rupert is probably so horrible, because he realizes that Rebecca hired Ted on purpose. He's angry about how AFC Richmond is doing.

Viera Galikova

Seriously!!!!

Alex Ocean

I've said i needed to say for my comment until y'all can truly prove me wrong than your answers are as good as mine.

Chris Henderson

Good lord that's a stretch Armstrong of a comment.

Chris Henderson

When you say "sent", you imply that Sassy went to Ted's room because Rebecca instructed her to go to Ted's room and have sex with him, as if Sassy was a passive agent in the situation just doing what she was told. Yes, it's possible that Sassy asked Rebecca which room Ted was staying in, but that doesn't mean Rebecca "sent" her to him, as if she was pimping out her best friend as a gift to Ted.

AWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Diamond Dogs!!!!!!!!! (Loved seeing both of your faces when you realized why we (your fans) insisted on Diamond Dogs!!!!! I am a huge David Bowie Acolyte (this will not be the last Bowie reference in the show!!) and I so love this episode!!!!!!! Nikki and Steven I must say Thank You because your reaction and follow up did not disappoint!!!! We see the formation of the Diamond Dogs (Thanks for the name Nate), we have the foundation of Roy and Keely's relationship, The Dart Game is EPIC, and Rebecca after being so uplifted by Ted's Knight in Shining Armor dart game win that embarrassed Rupert is now corned into coming clean with Ted!!!!! Such amazing writing and delivery by the cast!!!! One of my favorite TV episodes of any TV show I have every seen and believe it or not, IT STILL GETS BETTER!!!!!!! BARBECUE SAUCE!!!!!!!!

MAV293 (MARK)

I love that Higgins got the job with AFC Richmond after he worked for the Dowager Countess of Grantham at Downton Abbey....

Paul T Hewes

Guys I know she's attracted to Ted. And she's not a lap dog. But that doesn't mean Rebecca didn't help Sassy out with getting to Ted. The scene where she's looking at the waiter then looking at her phone texting Ted to make sure he's okay. Her face showed empathy towards Ted. After seeing him panicking and walking to the hotel alone she had a small smirk like she knew how to help Ted. Right after that scene we see Sassy at his door. I'd go further but I don't want spoil anything.

Chris Henderson

Pretty sure her giving the room number is basically sending Sassy to Ted.

Chris Henderson

We finally made it to the episode, Diamond Dogs! I love this episode, that dart scene is fantastic. Roy and Keeley are great and that ending with Higgins and Keeley confronting Rebecca was also great.

Jeremy Burch

Just because Rebecca may have told Sassy what room # was Ted’s (and I’m watching ahead and in Season 2 so far, there is nothing to indicate what you’re saying) doesn’t mean Rebecca “sent” Sassy.

Brooke Reece

Pretty sure Sassy sent Sassy to Ted's room. She's not Rebecca's lapdog, and she's genuinely attracted to Ted.

DTGstl314

No spoilers, but I can't wait to see how you react to certain character arcs in Season 2. Lots of interesting stuff ahead that you have no idea about right now.

DTGstl314

She literally asked Rebecca about Ted and she wanted Ted since she ran into him in the lobby.

Chris Henderson

They’re not in high school. They’re adults. I would be so offended if a friend told me to go to a man’s room..no woman would do that.

Christina H

Explain how I'm wrong.

Chris Henderson

I'm sorry, but you're just wrong. Rebecca absolutely did not send Sassy to his room.

Jeff K

At this point, I assumed that he has figured out what she’s doing, and so he’s making her pay. I mean, the hiring of Ted would have been a massive “f*ck you” to Rupert. But that’s just how I felt at this point. I don’t think he’s doing it without a reason.

Christina H

There wasn't any type of manipulation because Sassy knew what she wanted and asked Rebecca about Ted. Rebecca basically sent Ted a rebound and hooked Sassy up.

Chris Henderson

I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree that there’s a difference in helping your close friend get laid with someone they like versus ‘sending’ your friend as some dehumanized gift.

Rixxey G.

Be curious, not judgemental — literally how I want to live my life and Ted Lasso had my heart after that moment. This show is incredible and I’m SO happy Nikki and Steven are reacting to it with their hearts wide open, as always. ☺️

Rixxey G.

No but she knew Sassy liked her and Ted was alone. How else do you think Sassy found his room? Either Rebecca or front desk gave her the room or one of the players. Those are three options also next season pretty much tells us who sent her.

Chris Henderson

My favorite episode of season one. It's just so good. And given it's my favorite of season one, it has a strong argument as my favorite of the entire series since season one is pretty much perfect.

Jeff K

Yeah, there's a 0.0% chance that Rebecca sent Sassy to Ted's room. She's not Sassy's pimp.

Jeff K

The team hadn’t won AT Everton in 60 yrs, but they’ve probably beat them at home from time to time. That happens with some clubs. Tottenham’s new stadium opened in 2019. Man City could not beat them at that stadium, whether it was a league match or a cup tournament match, until 2024, I believe.

Christina H

Nah! Sassy is a grown woman who saw what she wanted and went after it. No manipulation there.

Rixxey G.

Huh?

Christina H

Such a great episode. One of my faves. Great reaction y’all . Can’t believe we’re almost done with Season 1 😩

Shanice British

Rebecca sent Sassy just to let y'all know. Edit: Rebecca gave Sassy Ted's room number.

Chris Henderson

A dodecahedron is a 12-sided shape.

John Hampton

The dart scene is genuinely one of my favorite scenes in TV history. It's just so good. Also, Steven, in the post-episode discussion about how tough it would be to lose your dad at 16: this ties back to something from the third episode, when Ted is at dinner with Trent Crimm (The Independent), and says "And it ain't easy, but neither is growing up without someone believing in you." Clearly a reference to entering adulthood without his father being around, after you get the context of Ted's youth.

Jeff K

The fact that my favorite reactors are reacting to my comfort show… nothing but love. 🫶🏻

Brooke Reece

We have ARRIVED! Diamond Dogs, assemble! And remember to be curious, not judgmental.

Jeff K
