I was wondering how you guys would feel about the end of this part. I was disappointed, but mainly - like Nikki - because I wanted more, more, more. lol I can't wait for the next part/season.

2025-01-19 17:23:55 +0000 UTCI agree that it was a terrible plan that was never going to work, but I understand his motive. He originally was trying to keep everyone alive, but his main purpose for going back into the games was to end it altogether. Winning the vote to go home would just mean that the games carry on the next year or whenever the next edition is held, and he wants it abolished entirely. I guess he was desperate to do something and had very little options given that the backup he believed he would have when he asked to be put back in the games was screwed over by the tracker in his tooth being removed. Definitely not a good plan, but I understand that he just wanted to try. I am so looking forward to the final season/part 2 and the frontman reveal!

2025-01-19 03:25:05 +0000 UTCYeah they're calling the next part season 3 but it for sure feels like season 2 was split into 2 parts, it was just 7 episodes and alot of stuff was left unresolved that a season of a show usually wraps up, i mean they didn't even finish the games. That cliffhanger definitely felt like an end of part 1 ending not a season ender.

2025-01-17 22:14:43 +0000 UTCeven at the end of season 1, he just needed a little push, he wasn't getting on that plane as long as they threw a tiny bait at him, they planted the recruiter because Gganbu knew, he chose 456 as a candidate the day he showed up and drunk together while eating dry noodles. 1st test was winning the games, 2nd was the The fact that he didn't spend a dime of the winning money for himself in what 2-3 years. 3rd test was that he relayed info about the games to everyone, he didn't keep the info to himself nor his closer circle to have an advantage, he made sure no one had an unfair advantage instinctively. Gganbu cares deeply about the rules and the fairness of the game, it was displayed in season 1 with the organ harvesting thing(gave 0 shits about the organs but cared a lot about the game leaking). Having a host that could be bribed or corrupt for a price, is an absolute no-no. All the rules player 1(Frontman) is enforcing are rules we assume Gganbu has probably made over the years, lets not forget the earliest game confirmation we got for the Korean games is 1999. I also believe that Gganbu was respected a lot by player one(Frontman). that kind of drive to fulfil an ex "bosses" wishes doesn't feel like much of a motive. He too like 456 chose the games over his family(has a brother and mother alive)

2025-01-17 22:10:12 +0000 UTCI have a theory. Gganbu, has left the most important thing to his Gganbu, the games. He wants him to be the next host for the games like he was. The only way to do that, is to break him first. I think the sole purpose of that was to affect him mentally and it did. He wasn't thinking clearly, it made him emotional and instead of thinking about saving however many people he could, by ending the games he chose to gather as many as he could as soldiers, knowing a lot of them will die, to satisfy his own need for revenge and answers and didn't even question his decisions once. He already doesn't care about the money, now he is starting to not care about people losing their lives as long as his needs are met. He is taking a different path that leads to the same destination, his humanity being drained away. His actions show that the long play manipulation is working. He is getting groomed into becoming the host, Imo, this will not have a "good" ending, and I hope it doesn't. His obsession for the games will backfire on him. EDIT: that is one of the reasons you never see Player 1 wear the Host mask, he still wears the black Frontman mask even after Gganbu is gone. The host position is open, until he is ready to take over like his Gganbu has planned.
