This is it. I think if she'd had the clothes Sam gave her on that they would've not harmed her. It's sad because her mom was just trying to protect her too.

Oh this is a tough one to watch again. It feels more upsetting that her mother gets her to put the dress on to protect her from the men/people at the fort and yet had she still had her clothing on, including that gifted to her from Sam, maybe they would have paused before firing that arrow. 1883 aired summer 2022 between season 4 ending and the first half of season 5 starting and it really did make the understanding of the Dutton's connection to the land richer in meaning.

I think it was perfect as a miniseries. One of the all time best with Band of Brothers and War and Peace imo.

I was super excited about you starting this show, but dreaded seeing these last two episodes again. Nikki, has there been another show or movie you guys have done that made you sob as hard?
Yellowstone National Park was established in 1872, eleven years before Elsa died, so not likely the ranch name has anything to do with Elsa.

Such a same this show didn't go on for a second season, the casting was amazing, they could keep Elsa as a voiceover and go on

When she was tapped on her head by the warrior, he was counting coup. Exactly what Casey was saying in Yellowstone. A sign of bravery was to get close to your enemy and touch them instead of killing them from a distance with a rifle or arrow.

I've watched all the episodes multiple times. This episode is a painful watch for me. This is the first time I've watched this episode again since the the first time watching it. I think I cried more because you were crying as well. I wish you guy did a back to back reaction.

So after you finish episode 10 of 1883 go back to the last episode of Yellowstone to the scene where Mo is fixing the graves. Elsa does a voice over and she answers Nikki’s question about whether the other generations knew about Elsa’s story.

The show broke my heart. I loved making all the connections to Yellowstone. I mentioned before the knife Sam gave Elsa is the knife Kasey gave Thomas Rainwater. It came full circle.

Now al we need, is John Dutton mid 20's late 20's until his wife's death. The actor they cast for young John in Yellowstone was freaking amazing, he can pull it off! So many stories to be told in this universe...
