Roy's character is based in Roy Keane, an Irish football pundit, former coach, and former professional player. He also swears a lot. Keeley is based on Keeley Hazell, Jason Sudeikis's exgf, who plays Rupert's gf Bex. Sam is based on a very nice footballer Bukayo Saka who has Nigerian parents and is known for being nice and kind. Ted is somewhat based on Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp. Rebecca is somewhat based on Karren Rita Brady, Baroness Brady, is a British former managing director of Birmingham City F.C., and current vice-chairman of West Ham United F.C. The first time she got on the team bus, a football player said "I can see your tits from here". She replied “When I sell you to Crewe, you won't be able to see them from there will you?" She sold the player shortly afterward........... In 1995, Brady married Canadian footballer Paul Peschisolido, who played for Birmingham City for two seasons. They have two children.

Often this show is a pure delight. --- -Even when she is frightening, Hannah Waddingham is quite gorgeous. -Nate is so scared and hiding he doesnt know what he is feeling half the time. -That rolling stones tune has become a favorite of mine because of this show.

I tried describing episodes like this to people that I wanted to watch the show because I knew they would love it but many of them still have not watched, it is so hard to really describe how great this show is without sounding like it's to good to be true. It can't be believed until actually watching it!!

2025-02-12 00:19:36 +0000 UTCI have always loved the little touch in that closing sequence, given "Rainbow" is Higgins's and his wife's song (and the actors are actually married), where the lyric "do you see her dressed in blue?" is playing while Higgins lovingly embraces his wife, who is dressed all in blue.

2025-02-11 23:52:07 +0000 UTCI’m guessing you guys haven’t seen “When Harry Met Sally” or maybe it’s been a while. The elderly couple talking directly to the camera in the stands is a throwback to that classic Rom-Com. It’s nearly impossible to catch every reference in this show. God knows I don’t.
