Man William Zabka deserves an emmy for that performance with Kreese, that felt so real, his eyes swelled up, actual tears was falling and his entire face like Nikki said reverted back to his younger self. It was sucha powerful scene. This was like the 3rd time i've seen it and still my eyes fill up with tears the second Johnny tells Kreese "i loved you man" and i pretty much lose it when Johnny starts crying, that performance was mind blowing to me, easily the best acting moment of William Zabka's career.

@Nikki & Steven Okay, understood. It just feels wrong that Robby has no title at all, you know? But you're right, he is in a great position now. I'm assuming you've already watched the two final episodes?! I think the ending was perfect and I'm definitely gonna miss the show.

Stephanie

I did say I prefer Miguel because of his mental strength but not because of what we've seen from the Sekai Taikai, that's based on everything we've seen. He's without question the stronger leader among all of the kids. The combination of returning to fighting after his injury, the adversity he's faced in the show and him being there to have Robby's back multiple times during the Sekai Taikai when Robby was ready to quit and on the verge of failure shows that he's team above self, which is what mental strength and being a great leader is all about. No way it goes the same way if the roles were reversed. As someone who's been in sorts my entire life, when the ability is close which it absolutely is between Robby and Miguel, I will take the person who acts like Miguel almost every time. It has nothing to do with being fair to Robby, he's in a great position in life considering where we met him at the start, he even said it himself in this episode. This show began with Miguel and Johnny and Cobra Kai and it will end with Miguel and Johnny, the way it should be.

Nikki & Steven

@Nikki & Steven I didn't discredit what Miguel has been through. What happened to him was terrible and how he fought back was incredible. Neither did I say he never had personal issues. I said that he never had personal issues during a tournament. Well, okay he had one when Hawk won the All Valley championship. And he quit and ran away, searching for his father in Mexico. It's not a competition who had more difficulties in life or who has been through more. You said that you prefer Miguel as a fighter over Robby because of his mental strength, based on what happened during the Sekai Taikai, right? All I'm saying is that this is not fair to Robby's character. Miguel went into the tournament with everything fine in his private life. He had no problems with Sam, he would go to college and his mother and Johnny were also happy. Plus he has a best friend/brother in Robby now. Robby went into the tournament seeing his girlfriend showing up in a cobra kai gi with Kreese, after she had a breakdown because of her mother's death, had left the dojo and not talked to him til they met in Barcelona. He then saw her with Kwon, thinking she was cheating on him, so he got drunk and cheated on her with Zara. Plus the pressure of being the team captain and messing it up. Don't you agree that those are two very different prerequisites for fighting in a tournament? BTW, I think that the senseis really messed it up there. They should have intervened long before Miguel had that talk with Robby. Johnny, Daniel and Chozen should have talked to the team right after the first fight. They should have seen that the whole team was out of balance - Devon because of what she did to Kenny, Hawk and Dimitri with their beef and of course Robby with his issues. They didn't do their job and left it to the kids to solve their problems alone til it was too late.

Stephanie

Saying he never had to deal with “personal issues” is wild… the mental toll that takes on a fighter to even get back on the mat after what happened is more than any one else. He was kicked over a banister, fell several stories and making him paralyzed. I get you love Robbie but to discredit what Miguel has been through isn’t fair to the character.

Nikki & Steven

@Nikki & Steven And how did that affect him during the tournament? He recorvered, got back into training and participated in the next all valley championship, where he quit (which was the right thing to do) because of a torn muscle and Johnny being too pushy. After that he never had an issue with it and it definitely wasn't a problem in the Sekai Taikai. So again, it was easy for him to stay focused without any personal problems.

Stephanie

No, he just had to recover from breaking his back and damn near being paralyzed.

Nikki & Steven

@Rob OnlyRoss That's not an argument. They could have find a better way to do that. Miguel in top form is on a different level? Lol, he was in top form the whole time. Robby is on a different level, when he is in top form.

Stephanie

@Nikki and Steven. Okay, that's a fair point. Although it's easy to say, because Miguel never had to deal with personal issues during a tournament. Not that I remember and definitely not during the Sekai Taikai. For Miguel it was pretty easy to stay focused, because unlike Robby he didn't have any personal problems. Edit: Plus the pressure of being the team captain with everything depending on you and everyone on your team relying on you is even bigger, when it's not going well because of your personal issues. Put Miguel in this situation and you'll see how well HE is handling it.

Stephanie

@Moche 35 losses? Lol. You mean two? And it was not just Robby, but the whole team, who lost. Remember how Hawk and Dimitri screwed up big time twice? And Miguel saved them once, because he was the only one who didn't have to deal with personal issues. Again, I have nothing against Miguel. He is a great character and I love, love his and Robby's brotherhood and how supportive he is of Robby. But from the skills, from the logical perspective it is absurd that Miguel, who was defeated by Robby in a fair and square fight, where both of them were 100% focused, defeats Axel, who is just better than everyone else and made it really hard for Robby to score points.

Stephanie

the show started with Miguel and should end with Miguel it's that simple , Miguel on top form is on a different level 🤘🏻

Rob OnlyRoss

I’ll take Miguel over Robby on my fight team 8 out of 10 times. They’re both great fighters but Miguel has a much stronger mental game.

Nikki & Steven

Are we just going to just ignore the 35 losses Robby had in the tournament before he finally beat Kwon? Miguel had to put the whole team on his back to keep them afloat.

Moche

What has that to do with what I said? It's not about real life skills, it's about the characters. Robby is the better fighter compared to Miguel and he struggled to defeat Axel, but Miguel is supposed to be capable to defeat him? That's bs. I never talked about real life skills.

Stephanie

And Robby should stand no chance against Kwon. Brandon H. Lee who plays Kwon is a national champion at taekwondo. If we’re going by real life skill the dude should’ve walked to the championship.

Moche

It was Bobby who hit Daniel with the flying knee kick in KK1, not Tommy.

Matty B.

I disagree. Miguel is not the top dog and he is not the all around fighter. Robby is. He got trained by Daniel, Kreese, Silver and Johnny. He is the better fighter. He defeated Miguel and that Miguel is now supposed to defeat Axel is illogical and bs. Just to be clear, I have nothing against Miguel. Him and Robby are my favourite characters. But what Robby showed against Kwon was better than everything that Miguel showed through the whole show.

Stephanie

Stoked at how quickly you guys are churning these out! I saw the Miguel going back to fight for Cobra Kai with Johnny as their sensei twist coming a mile away, but damnit, that entrance to Thunderstruck with Miguel, Tory, and Johnny coming out in the black Cobra Kai gis gave me all of the chills in the world and is without question one of my favorite parts of this entire series. So fucking epic, and got me so fired up. (Honestly, scoring ANY scene to Thunderstuck is all it takes to get me pumped.)
