Chapter 98 [Vault]
Added 2024-11-24 05:36:56 +0000 UTCTitle - Amity Blight and the Skill System | Chapter 2
_______________________________________________________________
[3rd POV]
Time had passed since Amity had awoken the memories of her past life, and the skill system, roughly 3 months to be exact.
A lot had happened during that time…more than Amity was ever expecting.
The first thing that had happened, was Amity’s development in her skills, or, the massive uptake in them that is. She had found out rather quickly that learning Abomination Magic and Fire magic was…easy, very very easy. So much so that she had reached a high level of mastery over the two of them, with relative ease.
She had continued to go to Hexside, and continued to make appearances, but in secret, she was becoming stronger and stronger. Boscha and them were still arrogant little shits, and her parents and siblings were still awful. But Amity found that she had something to genuinely enjoy in life, and that was developing her magic to levels beyond any other witch in the boiling isles.
She had become colder and colder to her “Friends” and “Family” and focused more on herself. She still enjoyed life and did some fun stuff, like reading to the kids at the local library, and having the oh so “enjoyable” classes with Lilith, sister of Eda the Owl Lady. Those lessons had become more and more annoying, as she had to do her best to hide the fact that she was…powerful and didn’t need the training in the least (not that the training was all that good in the first place).
Her skills at the moment, were looking pretty good.
[Abomination Magic | Level 172/250]
[Fire Magic (Boiling Isles) | Level 144/250]
[Plant Magic (Boiling Isles) | Level 102/250]
[Illusion Magic (Boiling Isles) | Level 89/250]
[Healing Magic (Boiling Isles) | Level 77/250]
[Ice Magic (Boiling Isles) | Level 64/250]
[Meditation | Level 52/500]
[Barrier Magic (Boiling Isles) | Level 43/250]
[Glyph Magic (Boiling Isles) | Level 33/250]
Each of her skills were at a good level, her abomination and Fire magic especially. And as far as she knew, she was one of the best in the isles in both. Her abomination magic had grown to the point that she could now turn her very form into the abomination goop, allowing her to form it into various weapons, such as hammers, blades, etc.
Her fire magic was to the point that she had begun to learn how to create lava, and was strong enough to make blasts of fire larger than her own home.
The meditation was perhaps the best skill she had, as it increased the amount of magic she had everytime she used the skill, albeit by only a little bit. But a little bit went far once she began to level it higher and higher, and she knew that once it was max level, the difference would be astronomical.
The barrier magic had slowly proven to be quite helpful, as using it, she could create barriers to block others out. It was still in it’s early levels, so she wasn’t too far in it’s progression, but she knew it was only a matter of time before she’d be strong enough to block out anyone in the Boiling Isles.
The glyph magic was the same as in canon, but seemingly a bit different, as it had become connected to the system itself. So if the titan was to die fully, then she’d still be able to use it. She had learned the light glyph and fire glyphs so far, and had alread begun to work on combinations between the two.
With this new magic (mainly her healing one) she had grown to not care much for her family, and took the hittings from her mother, only for it to heal within a few minutes after using a spell.
After 3 months of constant training, research, learning, and growing as a person, Amity had become quite the powerhouse.
School had become laughably easy, and she had continued to be excellent in class, only now, she didn’t brag about it, like her parents wanted her to. Hanging out with Boscha was intolerable, but she was just waiting until the cute little human appeared, and then she would stop listening to her parents.
And it seemed that today was that day.

Sitting in her abomination class, Amity was sitting alone at her long desk, bored. She had already read just about every book in the public and school libraries on the topic of Abomination, and she was pretty confident that she had already surpassed her teacher, making this class…boring.
A girl was at the front, showing the teacher her abomination, which was…basically just a large ball of goop with a head, and feet all over it’s body.
“Too many toenails in unexpected places. Fail. Pathetic, the biggest abominations are all of you! If the next abomination is a failure, everyone get’s extra homework for a month!” The teacher yelled, as the students groaned, while Amity blinked at the words, realizing that this was similar to the show, if she remembered right.
‘“And the next one to come up is…Willow”
The students muttered about Willow, as she was…awful at Abomination magic, like…really bad. But, that was entirely because she was forced into the class. She was much better at plant magic.
Rolling her wheelbarrow up to the front of the class, which was used to hold the abominations of the students (except Amity, as she was advanced enough to simply summon it with a spell circle).
“Um…Abomination, rise” Willow said, nervous as the lid flew off the pot holding the “abomination” and a good covered girl jumped out.
‘So that’s Luz…’ Amity thought, snickering as she did a “Ta-da!” and what almost looked like jazz hands.
The other students let out gasps at the sight, before Willow continued “Abomination, bow”
“Very impressive. But does it speak?” The teacher asked, as the class watched as the human hiding as an abomination, began to speak.
“Uh, I may be your abomination, but you’re my a-mom-ination” The human known as Luz said, causing the teacher to laugh, while the students awwed.
“Splendid wordplay! A+” The teacher said.
After saying this, the bell began to scream…yes scream, the bells in this school screamed like a person, it was…interesting.
Getting up, Amity looked at Luz as she began to get back into the pot, which Luz noticed, as Amity gave her a wink and walked off.

Later at lunch, Amity walked into the lunchroom and almost immediately noticed the so called “abomination” eating what lookd to be a PB and J, that Willow’s friend, Gus, had given it.
Walking to the table, Amity coughed, causing Willow to jump slightly, and turn “A-Amity what are you-”
“Abominations don’t eat, Willow” Amity said with an amused look in her eye.
“Uh-” “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about the cute little human you brought in here” Amity said, causing Luz to blush as Amity hummed.
“Wait really?” Willow said in surprise.
“Unlike what you think about me, Willow, I didn’t stop being friends with you because I wanted to” Amity said, giving her a soft look, before turning back to Luz who was blushing as Amity grew close to her face.
“And what’s your name, human?” Amity asked, causing Luz to squeak.
“L-Luz, Luz Noceda” Luz said, stuttering over her words as a very very attractive teen was close to her.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Luz. I’m Amity Blight” Amity said, grinning inwardly as she decided to tease the cutie even more, leaning down and softly pressing a kiss to the back of Luz’s hand, causing her to blush even brighter, before retreating into the pot.
“Can I sit with you?” Amity asked, looking to Willow who looked at her with hesitation.
“I thought you didn’t want to be anywhere near the weakling of the school?” Willow asked with a scoff, while Amity sighed.
“You can thank my oh so loving parents for that one. They didn’t want me to be involved with “Lesser” people as they dubbed you, and if I didn’t stop interacting with you, they were going to get you kicked out of the school” Amity said, causing Willow to blink several times.
“...Why now?”
“Because I could care less what my parents or siblings think anymore. They don’t have control over me or my life, not anymore, and should they try anything, I’ll just sick my abominations on them, and trust me, I don’t show even half of it in class” Amity replied, as Willow stared at her for a few more moments before motioning for her to sit.
“I’ll never talk to you again if you betray me”
“I’d expect nothing less” Amity replied with a smile as she sat across from Willow, Gus and Luz listening/watching in silence.
“So, why’d you bring a human into the school?” Amity asked, as Willow sighed.
“I’m awful at abomination magic, as you know. So, I thought that maybe Luz could help me out in class”
“Why not just ask the principal to switch you to a different course, like the plant one?” Amity asked.
“My pare-” “Your parents will understand, Willow. Especially if you show that plant magic of yours, afterall, that’s what your best at right? And isn’t it what you want to go into?” Amity said, Willow going silent as she heard this.
“How would I even go about doing that?”
“Just show him how powerful your plant magic is, and he’ll swap you with no problems. Trust me, your a lot stronger than you think, Willow” Amity replied with a smile, before continuing.
“So, Luz, any reason why your here besides to help Willow out?”
“Um, well…I was hoping to learn some magic, my teacher hasn’t really taught me anything, so I thought I’d come here” Luz replied from within the pot.
“Luz, humans can’t use witch magic, you don’t have a bile sac, which is what allows us to use magic in the first place” Amity responded, causing Luz to sigh.
“Yeah well, I at least want to try, that can’t hurt, can it?”
“I guess not. But there is another magic I’m pretty sure you can learn. It’s a magic that isn’t dependent on the bile sac” Amity replied, causing Luz’s eyes to light up inside the pot.
“Really? What is it?”
“How about you come by the library tomorrow and I’ll show you? It’s somewhere private so we can do it without worrying about anyone else barging in” Amity proposed, causing Luz to blush slightly at the idea of being alone with the super hot Witch girl that she totally didn’t already have a crush on or anything.
“U-Uh sure!” Luz replied, as the bell screamed.
“Good, it’s a date~” Amity said before walking off, leaving a blushing Luz and a flabbergasted Willow and Gus, both of them having only one thought on their minds.
‘What the hell just happened?!’

That’s the end of the chapter!
I’ve been in an Owl House mood, so I thought I’d make another chapter for one of my older ones, a chapter that is much better than the first one for this vault fic.
Luz is the love interest (obviously) and is the same age as Amity, so 17 in this fic.
Previous chapter for this vault fic: Chapter 62 [Vault]
Anyways, have a good day!
