Chapter 100 [Vault]

Title - A Geniuses Multiversal Travels | Chapter 3

After talking for a while longer with the group, Ryan ended up bringing up a rather mysterious object he had run into earlier that same day. 

The group of 6 were all crammed into Yaz’s police car. With Ryan, Graham, and Grace in the back. Yaz driving, and…The Doctor sat comfortably on Alexandria’s lap in the passengers seat. Something Alexandria was very approving of, but also a bit surprised, as the Doctor was the one who brought up the idea in the first place. 

Alexandria just sat back, ignoring the sensation of The Doctor moving around on her lap, and instead wa listening as they talked. 

“I’m gonna be in such trouble if they find out I was there” Yaz said, knowing that she could potentially get fired for doing this. Something she didn’t want, as she quite liked her job. 

“Can we have the lights and siren on?” The Doctor asked hopefully. 

“No! I shouldn’t be doing any of this” Yaz exclaimed, causing the Doctor to pout slightly before moving to another topic. 

“So you three know eachother?” The Doctor asked the three in the back. 

“I’m his nan, Graham’s my husband” “Second husband” Ryan added after Grace replied. 

“And you two know eachother?” The Doctor asked, looking between Yaz and Ryan. 

“Yeah. Yaz and I were at school together” Ryan replied, causing The Doctor to let a small “huh” at the coincidence. 

“Not Yasmin Khan?” Grace said in surprise, remembering her from years ago. 

“Hello Ryan’s nan” Yaz said, smiling as she remembered the kind old lady she met years ago. 

“Haven’t you done well for yourself, love?” 

“And you say you just found it there, this thing?” The Doctor asked Ryan, while Alexandria couldn’t help but comment. 

“What’s the likelihood that this thing is even there still?” Alexandria said, causing The Doctor to make a so-so motion with her hand. 

“Not sure to be honest, but any lead is better than none!”

“Well, I took pictures either way” Ryan added, handing The Doctor his phone. 

“Good lad!” The Doctor said, before looking down at the picture “That’s exciting! Wait…no, not exciting. What do I mean?”

“Worrying” Alexandria said, causing The Doctor to point at her with a nod. 

“Yep, worrying. Fast as you can, Yaz” The Doctor said as Alexandria looked over her shoulder at the picture. 

“Kinda looks like an egg, doesn’t it? Or perhaps some form of transportation?” Alexandra commented, as The Doctor nodded. 

“Likely. But it’d be best to get a good look at this thing first” The Doctor replied, as she noticed more and more that Alexandria was smarter than most, and seemingly knew things others didn’t. She began to wonder if Alexandria was a normal human, or had something special going on. Either way, she wasn’t blind to how immensely beautiful the woman was.

A little bit later, the group was walking through the dark forest where the…thing was supposed to be. Flashlights held in hands as they walked together. 

“There’s my bike” Ryan commented as they walked deeper in, his bike in a tree above. 

“Why’s it in a tree?” The Doctor asked. 

“We were up top and I chucked it over” Ryan replied. 

“He get’s cross because he can’t ride it” Graham added from behind the Doctor. 

“We’re giving him lessons. He’s got dyspraxia. It’s a coordination disorder” Grace said to the Doctor, who nodded in understanding. 

“Anyways, enough about me. The tree’s to the left, so it should be…” Ryan trailed off as he noticed it was no longer there. 

“It was definitely there” Yaz said, looking at the opening that no longer had the…thing. 

“So where’s it gone?” The Doctor asked, causing Alexandria to hum and speak. 

“Well, if it was an egg it could have hatched. But that would have left some sort of residue. If it was a form of transportation, it would have also left some sort of residue. So it’s more likely that someone else found it and took it. Like a human who found a cool looking alien object and thought they could make a quick buck off of it, or something along those lines” Alexandra said, causing them all to look at her. 

“You’re quite smart, aren’t you?” The Doctor asked, causing Alexandria to shrug. 

“I try. But I’m pretty certain I’m not as smart as someone like you. Not yet at least” Alexandria replied with a small smile, as the Doctor’s eyes narrowed, realizing this woman knew something. 

‘...Just who is this woman?’ The Doctor thought, growing more and more interested in the mystery of this unknown girl.

Even later into the night, the group was on the outskirts of a city, everyone besides Yaz sitting outside the police car, as The Doctor spoke. 

“Two weird things, one city, same night. Makes me nervous” 

“I’ll see if there’s been any more reports on that object” Yaz said, causing the Doctor to nod. 

“Good, because we need all the information we can get. Meet us back here” The Doctor said, as Yaz started the car. 

“I can have a word with some of my old pals from work. I mean, if you want to know what’s happening, ask a bus driver” “He always says that” “Yeah, that’s because it’s true. I’d still be doing it now if I could” Graham said, with Ryan interjacting in between. 

“I can search for weird stuff on social media” 

“And I’ll check in with my nurses group on WhatApp” Grace said, while Alexandria hummed. 

“Seriously though aliens?” Graham asked, while Alexandria was watching The Doctor closely, realizing she was probably gonna go unconscious soon.

“Yup”

“Oh, yeah, maybe I won’t mention that bit” Graham said, while The Doctor let out a soft pant. 

“Suddenly I feel really tired” The Doctor said, as she began to wobble slightly, Alexandria coming to her side and holding her. 

“That was a big fall you had, love. Should get you checked out at A&E” Grace said, as Alexandria held The Doctor’s arm. 

“No. I never go anywhere that’s just initials. Although…” The Doctor stopped as she…put a finger up her nose? 

“Can you catch me?” The Doctor asked, causing Alexandria to blink and nod. 

“This nose is really unreliable…” The Doctor said, before falling into Alexandria’s arms. 

“What just happened?” Ryan asked, causing Alexandria to shrug. 

“She fell from a high height, so that alone could have caused this. That, or it’s something to do with her alien biology, either way, we should probably get her somewhere that she can lie down” Alexandria said, lifting her into a princess carry with ease. 

“You think she’s an alien too?”

“Well how else would she have survived that height? Not to mention all the stuff she knows that no normal human would know” Alexandria replied with a deadpan, before continuing. 

“So, is there anywhere we can take her?”

A while later, after they got the Doctor to Grace’s home, and the Doctor had begun to glow a golden color, still undergoing the aftereffects of her regeneration, Alexandria was sitting, waiting for her to wake up. While Ryan was doing research on the internet, trying to find even a bit of a mention. Graham and Yaz having recently gotten back after going out for information. 

The silence of the room was cut off as the Doctor shot up with a “Oh!” a gasp escaping her lips. 

“Woah there, you alright?” Alexandria asked, causing her to shake her head. 

“No, no. I-I’m still healing, not ready yet. And can you smell that? No, not smell. Not hear. Feel. Can you feel…stay still, Ryan” The Doctor said, as she felt something on her neck, and noticing something on his as well. 

“What is it? What’s the matter?” Ryan asked, nervous now. 

“Ohhh, show me your collarbones” The Doctor said with a sharp exhale. 

At this they all lowed the neck of their shirts slowly, allowing the Doctor to see what looked to be small blinking bumps, red in color and glowing. 

“Oh you’ve all got them” The Doctor said. 

“So have you” 

“Yeah, I have. Okay. Really sorry. Not good news. DNA bombs. Microimplants which code to your DNA. On detonation, they disrupt the foundation of your genetic code, melting your DNA. Fast, and nasty and outlawed in every civilised galaxy” The Doctor said, causing Ryan to speak. 

“How did we get them?”

“The weird ball of wires thing gave them to us” Alexandria replied. 

“Quiet everyone, please. It-It’s hard to think. I’m not yet who I am. Brain and body still rebooting. Reformatting. Oh, reformatting!” The Doctor exclaimed noticing Ryan’s phone. 

“Can I borrow that?” “Yeah, I guess so, but what for?” Ryan asked as the The Doctor grabbed his phone. 

“That creature. On the train. When you two came on board, it zapped us all with these. Simple plan to take out witnesses. Very clever. Merciless, but clever…Oh, I reformatted your phone” The Doctor said with a smile, causing Alexandria to let out a small giggle. 

“No! All my stuffs on there”

“Not anymore!” The Doctor said before placing it against her neck, shocking her so hard that it quite literally launched her into the wall. 

“Are you okay?” Alexandria said, as they all looked at the Doctor with wide eyes. 

“Whoa! Ahh! That nap did me the world of good. Very comfy sofa” The Doctor said, while everyone looked at her like she was crazy, which Alexandria realized that she definitely was a bit crazy. 

“Come on. Keep up!” The Doctor said as she ran out of the house, leaving the group standing there. 

“...She’s crazy” Graham said bluntly, causing the rest to nod. 

“Definitely” 

“Absolutely” 

“100%” 

“It’s kinda hot” Alexandria added, causing them all to look at her, which she shrugged at and spoke. 

“What? I like what I like. Now, let’s follow her before she runs back in here”

Not sure how good this was in comparison to the previous ones, as it has been a long time since I’ve last updated this one. But, I thought I’d update an old one for the 100th vault chapter, one that a lot of people seemignly wanted to come back.
