Chapter 152: Lois has Cancer...
Added 2024-12-10 05:42:43 +0000 UTC[3rd POV]
It was a couple of days later, after the initial awakening of Jonathan’s powers, when Lois had knocked on Talia’s door, a somber expression on her face as Talia answered it.
“Is something wrong Lois?” Talia asked, inwardly knowing what it was, as she sensed the sickness that had formed in Lois, one of the worst diseases that is out there, and one that even Talia wasn’t entirely confident in curing, due to it’s nature of being connected to the very cells of an individual.
“I…I don’t really know how to say this, so I guess I’ll just be blunt. I’ve got stage 3 inflammatory breast cancer. And…and I’ll need to undergo chemotherapy and possibly some surgeries. I uh, I found out a couple of days ago, and I thought it would be best that you knew, considering you are teaching my boys, and are a reporter at the gazette” Lois spoke rapidly, breathing in deeply as she explained her new…condition.
Talia’s eyes were soft as she looked at the woman “You don’t need to explain anything, Lois, I understand” Talia said with a soft smile.
“You do?” Lois asked in surprise, which Talia nodded to.
“Lois, I’ve got a lot of abilities, some of them give me the ability to sense things like the health of others, and in this case, it would be the health of you, and the cancer that is forming within you” Talia replied, before continuing.
“I can try and help you with it, if you’d like. But I am not entirely sure if any of my abilities can actually cure cancer, not yet at least. But if you give me some time, maybe a month or so, I am 100% confident that I can help cure, or at least alleviate your cancer” Talia continued.
Cancer was something that even Talia wasn’t entirely sure that she could cure, as magic could do a LOT but cancer was tied to the very cells of a person, and was…not easy to eliminate. And considering the likes of the Kryptonians didn’t have a cure to the horrible disease, Talia didn’t either. She would need a class involving biology to cure it, as even with all the medical knowledge she has within her, she didn’t have any sort of cure for the disease.
Lois looked at her in shock “You-You can cure cancer?”
“Not now, no. But in time? Certainly. My rate of learning is tens of thousands of times faster than any humans, and even faster than supercomputers. And while I don’t have the I don’t have it yet, I will have it with time. But at the moment, the best I can do is help deal with the side effects of chemotherapy and the other treatments you’ll have to undergo” Talia replied, which only made Lois more awed by the woman that she was beginning to really wonder what species she was born to.
“And what about all the others out there? The other cancer patients that you could help with something like that?” Lois asked, frowning at the idea of such a method being reserved for only her. If it could be used to safe hundreds of thousands of lives, if not more, than she saw no reason to keep it hidden.
“I’ll find a way of properly giving it out. Be it in my Solaris persona, or something else. Don’t worry about the other people suffering from this, Lois, I would never keep something like that to myself” Talia replied shaking her head at the thought of keeping something like that to herself.

‘Well now I have even more of a reason to cure cancer’ Talia thought with a soft smile, as she noticed that Lois looked like she was about to cry.
Moving forward, Lois softly wrapped the much taller woman into a huge, causing Talia to blink in surprise, before awkwardly patting the shorter woman on the back.
Coughing awkwardly as she pulled back, Lois looked at her before speaking “Thank you, really. Even the idea of cancer being cured because you’re trying to help me…means a lot”
“No problem, Lois, truly” Talia replied with a smile, before Lois looked down to her watch and saw the time.
“Oh crap! Uh, sorry, I’ve got to go!” Lois exclaimed, before running off, obviously late to something, leaving an amused Talia as she watched her friend run off.
Shutting the door, Talia turned around, only to see her girlfriends standing there, teary eyed “Are you all okay?” Talia asked slightly concerned as she noticed the tears in their eyes. Only to blink as they walked up to her and hugged her.
“Uh…are you guys okay? You’re scaring me a bit” Talia said as they hugged her.
“No, no, we’re okay. It’s just…that was really really sweet Talia” Clary whispered as they hugged her in the form of a group hug.
“Really? I was just helping a friend. And I planned on curing cancer either way. And once I get back to Kara’s earth and I create my company, I’ve got plans for curing all sorts of diseases, like AIDS, Alzheimers, Cancer, to other areas like Autism, Down Syndrome, and all sorts of things really” Talia replied, surprised as she thought they knew about that, as she did tell them that she planned on curing some diseases and other illnesses or birth defects.
“You said you were going to cure a disease, not freaking cancer! We thought it was something more minor, like the cold or something!” Clary exclaimed as they all pulled back, their eyes wide at the knowledge of Talia’s plans for curing other diseases. Cancer alone was insane to even think about curing as casually as Talia spoke about it, and within a month!? But curing something like AIDS, Alzheimers, and all the others? Even for Talia, that seemed crazy.
“Well yeah I plan on curing the cold too. Hell, I plan on curing every disease known to mankind. Afterall, why would I let my fellow humans get sick? Especially when some of them are my friends, or one of your families?” Talia replied with a shrug, as it really wasn’t anything big for her. Sure she would most certainly get a shit ton of levels from it, but she planned on doing it whether or not levels were involved.
As they heard Talia’s response, the girls all looked at her and slowly deadpanned, as once again something that they knew about Talia was cemented, and that was…
‘...Our girlfriend is crazy’

That’s the end of the chapter!
This chapter was a talk with Lois about her cancer, as well as a talk with the girls about the idea of curing ALL diseases, sickness, and anything else similar. Things like Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and others are on this list (ABSOLUTELY nothing against anyone with Autism or Down Syndrom of course! I love all my fellow bro’s and brosette’s)
A vault chapter may be coming later tonight, we’ll see.
Anyways, have a good day!
Comments
You may want to change that she cured the farmers she bought the farm from of cancer back in chapter 130.

2024-12-11 21:35:46 +0000 UTCCorrect me if I'm wrong but I could have sworn she got blueprints for all those cures in one of the past chapters. Like at the same time she got the Greenhouse gases thing and trash eater stuff.

2024-12-11 02:35:02 +0000 UTCYeah definitely needs to be an improved ADHD med the stuff I took as a kid was horrible. Had a hard childhood with bad parents that didn't monitor my usage of said meds and I a kid with adhd had to keep up with it. I forgot how many times I accidentally overdosed on it because I would forget I had took it then take it again or the times I would go through withdrawals when I forget to take it for a while. Anyway there needs to be better ADHD meds or there is and I just don't know because I haven't been to a doctor for it for years

2024-12-10 09:19:41 +0000 UTCNah it’s fine, I assumed that’s what you meant, I just wanted to point out the wording, whilst you could theoretically make a “cure” there are probably very few people who would take it if they know the full implications of it. I definitely wouldn’t take it for my autism. I’m sure there are definitely things that could be done to help with ADHD, there’s already medicine for that to help manage it so making an improved version of it isn’t completely outside the realm of possibility.

2024-12-10 06:06:44 +0000 UTCBy curing the people who have ADHD, Autism, etc I meant prevent it from happening in the first place. Instead of doing it to people who already have it. Sorry if I worded that badly which is my fault and I definitely should have worded it differently.

2024-12-10 06:03:24 +0000 UTCIt would probably be more accurate to make something that prevents anyone from being born with Autism/ADHD/Down Syndrome instead of curing people who already have it. Preventing any future disorders is way, way more ethical than messing with someone’s brain to change how it works.
