Chapter 116 [Vault]

With the talk with Bonnie, Caroline, and the irritating doppelganger over with, Valkyrie decided that there were some other things she needed to get done, sooner, rather than later. 

The first of those was in front of her right now, burning to the ground, with only a small fragment of it saved for later, should she ever need it. The “Thing” that was burning to the ground, was in fact, the Wickery Bridge, alongside the sign nearby. Both were created out of White Oak, and were capable of killing her siblings, and had she not interfered, would have caused the deaths of at least two of her siblings, this being Finn and Kol. 

[Hidden Quests Complete!]

No more White Oak

Details - Destroy the Wickery Bridge and the sign made of white oak, therefore destroying some of the last of the White Oak. 

Reward - 1 Random Essence

Changer of Fate

Details - Completely and utterly change the Fate of the Mikaelson family, by saving the lives of Finn and Kol, as well as all of their sired vampires, therefore, saving thousands (thanks to Kol). 

Rewards - 1 Random Essence

‘That…makes sense I guess. But, I’m not going to be happy that I just got rewarded for this, as the only reward that I need is to see my siblings alive and happy, and as long as that damned tree’s essence exists in the world, they won’t be’ Valkyrie thought. 

‘This tiny little splinter is the only thing that will remain of this bridge, and that is only because it can potentially be useful in a future ritual that can make me stronger so I can keep my siblings safe, and that’s all’ Valkyrie continued her thoughts, as she already knew where she’d keep the splinter. 

Walking back to her car, Valkyrie sat down with a sigh, as she inwardly spoke to the system ‘Go ahead and claim the essences, system’

[Essences Chosen!]

Essence of Mountain Ash

* Age & Wisdom: You have probably experienced a lot in your time granting you better control than others, and just making you far more skilled (and dangerous) than most.

*Beastiary: You may choose to be and or gain the powers and abilities of a supernatural creature from the Teen Wolf universe. If you take a race like Kanima, hellhound or berserker you will not be subject to the will of another and possess full control over yourself and your abilities no master, secondary spirit, etc. * Alpha: You are a leader among supernatural beings, allowing you to change others into the same creature as you, and impose your will on them/others of your species. This will include all other abilities and features of an Alpha, changed to fit your species.

* True: You are a prime example of your species making you stronger, more effective, and just overall better than other examples of your species. This will also grant you a powerful willpower, that could allow you to overcome weaknesses and restraints like mountain ash.

* Evolved: You are an evolved member of your species granting you a greater connection to your supernatural half, were-creatures will gain the ability to transform into members of the animal they are the were of (werewolves to wolves), Kanima develop wings, if an existing experience of evolving doesn’t exist create your own. Optionally, you may possess a greater monstrous form more in line with Peter Hale’s 1st season form.

* Beast: You are an existence that would be regarded as the most powerful, dangerous, and famous member of your species. This will make you as strong as The Beast, including gaining a smoky shadow form, all the features and abilities that you would expect.

[Werewolf is the species that has been chosen by the system, due to it being the most in line species. Your werewolf species will be a combination of a True Alpha, an Evolved Werewolf, and the Beast from Teen Wolf, combining their powers into one apex predator]

Essence of the Dominator

* Gain a new body that sits at the peak of your species in capability, you are free to customize your appearance within the realm of what is possible.

* Have a very noticeable and commanding presence, weaker beings cower or are in awe of you more often than not. Stronger beings will at the very least treat you with a degree of respect even if they wouldn’t otherwise.

* Very good at subduing opponents and keeping them restrained. If desired, they can be given a humanoid form that they can switch to or be forced into for easier access. 

* You are also capable of summoning a variety of bindings to keep opponents restrained, rope, chain, ribbons, pillories, bondage suits, and more elaborate still. These restraints are extremely difficult to get the person out of without your aid and the restrained target is completely incapable of escaping. You can inflict on those restrained a variety of sensations ranging from the full pleasure you could grant them if you were attending to them directly, unending pain, or just leaving them unable to sense anything. Those restrained won’t require anything to sustain themselves while locked up and will have their sanity preserved if you wish.

* You cannot be dominated against your will, any attempt to do so will backfire catastrophically for the wannabe dominator. You are furthermore immune to fear, manipulation, or otherwise subversion of your indomitable spirit.

* Unmatched in the realm of sexual activities, even the most ennui stricken succubus or goddess of lurid passions could be left a mewling mess. This bypasses any passive or active resistances and immunities that might stop it, your hands are the doom of any sapient creature you might care to lewd. 

* Your sexual organs are similarly mighty, whether it is a sword that Aphrodite would swear devotion too or sheath that could tame the flighty Zeus himself. You would be hard pressed to find any being that wouldn’t utterly submit their being to you after a round of sex. Even beings that would normally be extremely resistant if not immune will find themselves defenseless to you.

* Possess inexhaustible stamina

Valkyrie silently read through what she had gotten and she was…pleased, very pleased. The Dominator was…a bit interesting, and will make some future…experiences very fun for her, but it was the other Essence that had really caught her attention. 

‘True Alpha? Beast? Evolved? What sort of Werewolf will I be after I assimilate these essences? I’m already a special type of Werewolf due to Klaus and I’s father, and all the other essences combining to make me far superior to any normal Wolf, but combine this and the Dominator Essence and…who knows how powerful my werewolf side is going to be’ Valkyrie thought, contemplating what exactly her werewolf side was going to become. 

‘At least this time I can’t go unconscious’ Valkyrie thought with a sigh as she initiated the assimilation. Almost immediately she felt her body begin to warp and change, as a small burst of pain flowed over her body, before it was almost immediately blocked out. Her body's regenerative capabilities were far too strong for it to do much more than a small burst of pain. 

But at the same time, she felt a powerful discomfort overcome her body, as she got out of the car, her eyes beginning to glow a deep crimson as a soft popping sound began to enter her ears, as her body began to warp and change, causing a deep growl to escape her lips as she slowly changed into something…new. 

[Normal Wolf Form]

[Beast/Full Werewolf Form. This form is genderless but appears a bit more feminine]

Looking around in her wolf form, Valkyrie let out a low grin as her wolf mouth widened as her teeth showed. She could quite literally feel the power that ran through her veins as she reverted back to her human form, her clothes being completely fine even after the transformation. 

“That…was amazing” Valkyrie said with a wide smile, clenching her fist as she felt that her old werewolf instincts have risen to an entirely new level far beyond other werewolves of this world. It felt so…right to take that form, like it was what she was meant to be, and she knew that she would be taking that form a lot more often from now on, as she got back into her car with a pleased smile. 

She had already made sure that even the ashes of the bridge and sign were destroyed, as she drove off, making sure to do so quickly so that no one saw what she had done. She didn’t want to deal with Caroline’s mother or the Lockwood boy's mother. 

‘Let’s just get back the mansion for now…it’s time to take care of Esther before she causes more issues for this family’

[Back at the Mansion]

Walking through the doors of the Mikaelson mansion, Valkyrie was almost immediately greeted by Finn. 

“Sister, where have you been?” Finn asked, as Valkyrie smiled. 

“Taking care of some…business that I had. Nothing too important, older brother” Valkyrie replied, waving off the man's worry. 

“Where’s the rest of the family? Not causing trouble, I hope?” 

“Trouble is all that they cause, sister, it is practically our middle name” Finn replied with a snort as Valkyrie smiled. 

“And what of our mother? We both know that she is going to be trying to kill us either way. That binding spell in the champagne was simply the easiest way to do it” Valkyrie asked as Finn sighed. 

“Knowing mother? She is likely preparing a ritual strong enough to kill us, perhaps using the Bennett witches, or some sort of sacrifice. Either way, it’d be best if we find her before she can complete such a thing, unless we all want to perish” Finn replied as Valkyrie nodded. 

“I already have an idea of where she is. The little doppelganger is likely a part of it, and with how much Rebekah seems to despise the girl, she’s probably off messing with her. All we need to do is find Esther, and I shall take care of the rest” Valkyrie said. Her werewolf side wanted nothing more than to rip Esther to shreds for the things she has done, and what she is planning on doing to her “Pack”. 

“And what of the Bennetts? They likely do not know that our dear mother is forcefully channeling them” Finn asked as Valkyrie smiled. 

“Well once Esther is dead, that won’t be a problem. The Bennetts of old will not allow her to continue to abuse their power, and will almost certainly help us in defeating her, or at the very least, punish Esther for her transgressions” Valkyrie responded, as she sipped on some bourbon, a sigh escaping her lips at the taste. 

“What shall we do then, sister?” Finn asked as Valkyrie looked at the man. 

“Finn, brother, why do you wish to aid me so much?” Valkyrie asked her older brother as he sighed. 

“I suppose it is because of what you said, about “Living a little” I…if there’s a possibility that Sage is still alive…I do not wish to leave this world before I see her. And…I have run from what I am for far too long, I am a Mikaelson, and it is about time I act like one. Without the tendency of massacring innocents, of course” Finn said after a few moments. 

“Ooh~ My brother is in love” Valkyrie teased with a grin as the man just rolled his eyes fondly.  

“Yes I suppose I am, sister. Now, do you wish to go and deal with mother now, or not?” Finn asked, all his previous thoughts of helping his mother had ceased the moment that he found out about Sage, and about Valkyrie being alive. 

“I suppose we should, let’s get going, brother, I’m quite certain I know where she is” Valkyrie replied, as she walked to the door, her brother following her, as they had one objective in mind.
