Chapter 155 [Vault]

At the moment Yelena was sitting in her living room, sipping on her coffee, a smile on her face as Thea was nuzzled up against her. The latter had been pretty much living with her since her mothers…revealing of colors, and the two cuddling on the couch had become the norm at this point. 

They were watching an episode of Maury, laughing at the people in the episode who fought over the “You are not the father” moment in the episode. The two had been binge watching the recent episodes of the show the past few days. 

As they laid watching the show, Thea looked up at Yelena “I forgot how cheesy this shit is” Thea said as Yelena chuckled, running her hand through her girlfriends hair. 

“It might be cheesy, but we both know you love this shit” Yelena said with a smirk, Thea pushing against her warmth with a small snort. 

“Yeah yeah, just like you love Karate Kid more than any normal person should” Thea said, causing Yelena to gasp. 

“I will have you know that Karate Kid is a masterpiece and an absolute classic!” Yelena said in mock offense causing Thea to giggle, only for a squeal to escape her lips as Yelena moved and began to assault Thea in the form of tickles.

“Oh is it funny, yeah? Well then I suppose you won’t mind laughing!” Yelena said with a grin as she tickled her girlfriend, laughs escaping Thea’s lips as she tried to break free, only for those tickles to slowly turn into kisses as the laughter began to break out into soft kisses, lips locking as Yelena was above her, pressing slow loving kisses against her. 

“Mhmm, I’m getting a call baby” Thea muttered, as Yelena pouted, causing Thea to lean up and peck her on the lips again, a giggle escaping her lips as she answered the phone.

Watching her girlfriend, Yelena watched as Thea’s eyes shot wide in shock as she gasped, tears beginning to trickle out of her eyes as Yelena watched her with soft eyes of understanding, knowing that Oliver Queen, her girlfriends brother, had returned.

With the news that Oliver Queen had returned home, Yelena had let Thea go home without her, understanding that it was NOT her place to intrude on that particular reunion, instead, she opted to walk around the city some more, copying more and more knowledge that she did not have previously, with a decent chunk of it being helpful to her, especially the scientific stuff. 

She had also begun to prepare a bit for the coming “Storm” that will likely begin soon, as with the arrival of Oliver Queen, everything will begin soon. Dozens of threats, world ending disasters that had to be stopped, Metahumans, aliens, the multiverse, and so so so much more that would be coming in the future, and she had to be ready for all of it. 

She didn’t have any fancy powers besides her ability to mimic the memories of others, which didn’t go far in the grand scheme of things, with the threats that would be showing up, ones that would be able to end worlds and beyond, so, she would need to begin to develop things for that. 

The first of them, and easily the most important of them, was a “Super Soldier Serum” or an equivalent, as without something like that, she wouldn’t be able to have even the smallest chance of defending herself against something like the Reverse Flash or pretty much any metahuman out there. 

She also would need to develop things that could help Thea as well, as she refused to allow her girlfriend to go through all the traumatic things that she did in the original Arrowverse, nor would she let her remain as a normal person, something like a super soldier serum would be necessary for her as well. 

She believed that once she got the knowledge of a select few individuals, which included a LOT of chemists, and those involved in the creation of pills, serums, and stuff like that, which is why she was currently walking around the CDC location in the city, and the nearby research laboratory. She had already gone near a medical school, and several other places involving medicine, all so she could have a better shot at creating the super soldier serum when the time came. 

She had already started the process of getting her hands on the technology necessary to produce such a thing, but had only gotten a few of the cheaper and easier to find ones. As while she did have money, she wasn’t filthy rich or anything, not like the Queen family who’d be able to easily pay for all of it. Not that she’d ever ask Thea or anything, she was not a beggar. 

And even if she had asked them for the necessary technology, she highly doubted they’d be willing to just hand it over, afterall, even if she was a genius, she was but a teenager, one that was unknown to the rest of the world, and unproven in the field of science. 

Knowing that Oliver Queen was back, Yelena had let Thea go for the entire day, leaving her be while she reconnected with her brother, giving her the time to properly get used to the fact that he was back. At the same time, Yelena began to gather certain pieces of…information, mostly in regards to figures of note that Oliver would begin to get involved with, like Laurel Lance, Quentin Lance, Dig, and others of note, all of them having skill in a certain area that she needed, hence she copied their knowledge for herself.

But now she was on the phone, two days later, listening to her girlfriend as she rambled about Oliver. 

“Babe, he is totally different! And not just like traumatized different, but his personality is completely different” Thea said into the phone as Yelena chuckled. 

“Love, he was on an island alone for 5 years, it only makes sense that he would change from the experience. I wouldn’t judge him too much for the changes” Yelena replied to her girlfriend with a sigh, knowing why Thea was saying this. 

“I-I know, but it’s just a…lot. I was so used to his old playboy personality that I’m just a little blindsided with the new him, that’s all. I mean, you should have seen his reaction to the fact that Walter and my mom are married! Hell, he even knows Russian!” Thea exclaimed, as Yelena snorted. 

“I’m sure that was a fun interaction. And he probably picked up the Russian on the way home, or maybe there were other people on the island with him? Either way, it’s best to let him adapt on his own love, wouldn’t want to make him uncomfortable or anything” Yelena replied, as Thea sighed on the otherend once again.

“Alright I will. But um…do you think you could come over? I know it’s a bit much with my mom and all, but I could really use you right now” Thea asked quietly, obviously not feeling the best right now with everything that was going on. 

“Of course babe, I can meet you at ho-” “No, no, just…just pick me up from school”

“You know that if we do that people will find out, right? Are you sure you’re ready for the reactions that’ll bring?” Yelena asked, knowing that Thea was keeping their relationship hidden mostly because of her mother, but also because teenagers were assholes and she didn’t want to deal with other kids at school making comments about her and Yelena.

“I’m ready Yelena, I-I don’t want to keep hiding the fact that I’m with you, the fact that I am in love with you” Thea replied, as Yelena warmly smiled, practically hearing the blush that was 100% on Thea’s adorable little cheeks. 

“Alright princess, I’ll be there to pick you up. Love you, bye” Yelena said. 

“Love you too” Thea said on the other end as they both hung up, leaving Yelena sitting on the bench with a small smile on her face, one thought on her mind. 

‘...Time to meet Oliver Queen!’

ATG comes next, and then there will be another older vault chapter getting updated that I’ve been in the mood for recently, this being “The God Empress” as I’ve decided to rework some of my plans for it, mainly the universe it is in, as I’ve decided that another suits it more. 

Fanon maker and Bookstore Witch will both be getting updated before that though. Next update should be Fanon Maker so I can get that out of the way for the day.
