[3rd POV]
After a few moments of the Tardis doing its usual groaning, it landed with a thud, as the Doctor grinned.
“Alright fam, let’s go see what this new galaxy has to offer!” The Doctor said with a grin, as the “Fam” all sighed, before following after the Doctor as she exited the Tardis.
The first thing they immediately noticed was the clean air, and the temperature.
”Oh the air here is remarkably clean! Hmm, seems to be a relatively new planet, capable of giving birth to life like Earth” The Doctor said, as she could tell this much just from walking on a planet.
“You can tell that much just from an alleyway?” Graham asked with a raised eyebrow, as they were literally just standing in a dark alleyway with only a light at the end to their left.
“Oh yeah! It’s easy enough to do once you know what to look for” The Doctor said with a wave of her hand like it was nothing, as they all began to walk towards the light at the end of the alleyway.
“Of course it is” Yaz muttered with a shake of her head in amusement, finding the Doctor more and more ridiculous every time she heard something new about her.
Walking out of the alleyway, they were forced to cover their eyes at the bright light that was a lot different from the dark alleyway. And as their eyes adjusted to the bright light, the three humans all began to look around in awe.
“Holy shit!” Graham exclaimed as they were now standing in a futuristic street, a massive street with thousands walking to and from various centers, ships flying in the skies above, and advertisements upon the large hologram billboards alongside the buildings.
“Doctor are those robots?” Ryan asked, noting some droids that were mingling with some Cabal.
“And what species are they?” Yaz asked, noticing the large Cabal walking around, the Locust hauling materials for what looked to be a construction project, and Awoken that walked amongst the streets.
“I’ve got no idea Yaz. And I believe they are, Ryan, advanced ones at that” The Doctor said, noticing the advanced levels of technology that were on display to her, a lot of which she did not recognize from anywhere she had been in her years. The first of which was the Exo species that were amongst the civilians walking about.
“Ah right, it is a new galaxy, so I guess not even you will know what we’re looking at” Graham said with a nod, understanding that the Doctor was likely as in the dark as they were.
“And that is what makes this place so special! It’s a completely new and utterly unique galaxy. One that we now know is inhabited by people, an entire secret civilization that has existed for who knows how long!” The Doctor exclaimed with excitement as they began to walk through the streets.
Only, she did this while walking, meaning…well, she almost immediately bumped into the person in front of her, which was an Awoken woman.
“Oh! Sorry about that, wasn't lookin where I was walking” The Doctor said, as the woman smiled.
“It’s quite alright. Hmm, you’re all new around here, aren’t you?” The woman asked, noting that they all looked…well, very out of place.
“That obvious?” Yaz asked as she giggled.
“Very. But it’s quite alright, their grace permitted those from outside the Empire to come here as long as they are not a part of those foolish invasions, so you’ll be okay” The woman said with a smile as they all blinked.
“Empire?” Ryan asked, as the woman tilted her head.
“Why the Empire that rules this galaxy of course. It’s the Empire's territory that you’re standing upon, you know, and not just any territory, but the capital world of the Empire!” The woman said with a proud smile on her face.
“And what’s the name of this world?” Graham asked as the woman blinked at the question, before giggling.
“Why you’re on Earth, the capital world of the Empire” The woman replied, as they all looked confused.
“Wait, Earth? But this isn’t-“ “Oh sorry, right. I forget that there is another Earth at this time, I suppose you’re from there, right? I suppose you could also call this Super Earth or Terra, either works. But we who live here simply know it as Earth” The woman replied, remembering the various reports that had been spread throughout the Empire regarding this particular part.
“Why do you call this place Earth? The air here is cleaner, the atmosphere’s makeup is different, the cities are more advanced than anything they will have for thousands of years, everything here is different” The Doctor asked with furrowed eyebrows, yet interested.
”Ah, it’s because this is quite literally Earth, dear. Think of your Earth, but multiply its size by several times, and get rid of all that nasty global warming business you’re all struggling with so much. We even have countries, or at least, we have sectors” The woman replied with a shrug.
All this information, and the information on the original Earth of this world was public to the Empire as Victoria wanted everyone to know this sort of stuff just in case.
“But-how does this place exist? I mean, how can there be two Earth’s, or a copy of Earth?” Graham asked as the woman smiled.
“All by their graces will. Everything here, from the very lands we walk upon, to the millions of worlds within the Empire’s territory, is all by our graces will” The woman said with a reverent look on her face.
“You talk about them like they’re a God” The Doctor said with a small frown forming at that particular prospect. As the woman almost sounded brainwashed.
“Well, I won’t say they are, as they are quite against it. But a majority of the Empire does worship them as our God, so I suppose they are in a way” The woman replied with a smile, as pretty much every person in the Empire worshiped Victoria as their God.
“And where does this…leader of yours hangout at?” The Doctor asked, the woman raising an eyebrow in response.
“You wish to meet them? That is rather…arrogant of you, to believe that they will spend their time meeting you” The woman replied with a snort, as not just anyone could meet the leader of their Empire.
“Just humor me” The Doctor said as the woman sighed.
”They live within the Emperitorium, the place within the center of the city. You’ll know it when you see it, as it’s not exactly small” The woman replied, as the Doctor smiled.
“Thank you! C’mon fam, we’re going to meet this Emperor of theirs!” The Doctor said, practically dragging them along as she ran off, leaving the woman standing there with a raised eyebrow.
“Huh…when did I say it was an Emperor? Eh, whatever, I’m sure the guards will stop them before they do anything stupid” The woman said to herself, before shrugging as she began to walk once more, walking away from the very first interaction between an Empire’s citizen and someone from beyond the Empire.
With the Doctor and Fam, they were walking through the streets briskly towards the palace.
“Doctor, weren’t we going to go and explore? I’ve seen like 30 places that look cool as hell. Like the zoo that has live dinosaurs!” Ryan asked, as the Doctor grinned.
“It’s fine Ryan. I just want a quick word with the Emperor and then we can explore, that’s all. And if you want to see live dinosaurs so bad, we can just go back in time and get a good look at them” The Doctor replied, as Ryan just sighed.
“No, it's fine. Let’s go meet the Emperor or whatever so we can have some fun” Ryan said, as they turned a corner, only to blink in surprise at the large palace that was within their line of sight.
[Something like this]
“Well, at least we know that they live nice” Graham noted, as the Doctor just frowned and began to move towards the palace with more vigor than before, wanting to get the bottom of this secret “Emperor” and how the hell they have copied Earth, and more than that, how they have bloody Star Wars characters here!
Yeah, it turns out that this universe did indeed have fictional works like Star Wars…until Victoria began to summon characters from them, with all the memories being eliminated from those that knew of them. Except the Doctor herself, why? Well, Victoria would need to figure that one out for herself.
As she began to make her way towards the palace, and her first meeting with someone that would change everything, the Doctor had only one thought on her mind.
‘Let’s see who this Emperor of theirs is!’
