[3rd POV]

After a long winded explanation on the “Plan” which was basically a double cross within a double cross, albeit a bit more complicated, Lexa leaned back in her seat, contemplating the idea as it had…a lot of appeal to it, except for one part. 

“Why must we only focus on the guards? Why not kill everyone there? It’d be better if we kill them all and end the scourge of the mountain men as a whole” Lexa asked as Eivor raised an eyebrow. 

“So you’re willing to kill innocent men, women, and children? Elderly? Those who had absolutely no idea what their leaders were doing? Even those that might be fighting back against them right this moment, for what they are doing?” Eivor asked, watching Lexa’s facial expressions closely, noticing the way her eyes widened ever so slightly before returning to normal. 

“Yes, if I have to” Lexa said as Eivor snorted. 

“Bullshit” Eivor replied, causing Lexa to frown. 

“What do you mean, “Bullshit”” Lexa asked, as Eivor sighed. 

“Lexa, you are many many many things. An incredible woman with a lot of willpower, an intelligent woman who knows what it takes to lead, and a fighter. But you are not someone who would slaughter innocents simply for what their leaders had done, that is not you” Eivor said, as Lexa scoffed. 

“And how could you possibly know who I am? You have known me for only a few days” Lexa asked, as Eivor smiled.

”I’m a good judge of character, Lexa. I can tell that deep down, underneath all that Heda bullshit, you are a good person, a good girl. But, you have been forced to shove that deep down thanks to the people that surround you, and their stupid expectations of you” Eivor replied, as Lexa rolled her eyes. 

“I am Heda, Eivor. I have no room for being a good person, and no room for mercy. Just as these “Stupid Expectations” are my duties, not expectations” Lexa responded, as Eivor raised an eyebrow. 

“So how is always being perfect, never making mistakes, never feeling love for another, and leading everyone as a teenager “Duties”? Even a leader makes mistakes Lexa, it’s a part of the job. But these people that surround you? They think that because you’re Heda, you HAVE to be perfect, and that is simply not possible” Eivor said, as Lexa felt herself growing more and more frustrated with Eivor the more she had listened to her. 

“I had loved another. And do you know what had happened to her? She was kidnapped, tortured, and had her head cut off simply because I was with her. I have no right to love, for love is weakness, Eivor!” Lexa yelled at her, glaring fiercely at Eivor. Guards shuffled in in alarm, only for Lexa to wave them out with a fierce look, before her glare returned to Eivor. 

“I’m sorry that happened to you, Lexa” Eivor said simply, looking at her with soft eyes. She remembered the story from the show, but now that she looked at Lexa, she could tell that the woman was still struggling to get over the death of her ex-girlfriend. 

“I-what?” Lexa said, stumbling over her words in surprise. 

“I’m sorry that someone would be monstrous enough to do something like that to you” Eivor said simply, as Lexa opened her mouth before shutting it several times, listening as Eivor continued. 

“Look, Lexa. I won’t act like I know anything about your relationship with this woman, but do you really think that she would want you to forgo love completely? Love is one of the most powerful emotions there is, Lexa. In ancient times, before the world became what it is now, Empires and Kingdoms were born and destroyed over love. It’s one of the driving forces for everything that happens in this world, and I think it would be terrible to ever lose that” Eivor said, looking Lexa in her eyes as the woman’s face faulted, biting her lips as she felt her eyes begin to water. 

“Everyone has the right to love, Lexa. No matter if you're a King, Queen, Emperor, or a simple commander. And you, as the Heda, have the right to love another just as much as everyone else. Just as you have the right to make mistakes. For as long as you learn from those mistakes, no one has the right to judge you” Eivor finished, as she watched Lexa begin to break down. 

“You-I-“ “C’mere Lexa. It’s okay to cry, even a Heda needs one once in a while” Eivor said, moving forward as the woman could no longer hold it in, and moved forwards, burying her face into Eivor’s toned chest, and began to sob against clothes, tears streaking out of her eyes as Eivor softly sighed. 

“It’s alright Lexa, let it all out, I’m here” Eivor whispered, rubbing circles on the woman’s back as she had her powerful arms around Lexa, the shorter woman nuzzling into her warmth as she cried. 

Lexa didn’t utter a word as she just leaned into Eivor, crying against her as the taller woman softly comforted her. Lexa had a LOT of pent up shit, and this breakdown was long overdue for the woman, as Eivor ignored the wetness building up against her chest from all the tears. 

“Good girl, just let it all out Lexa” Eivor whispered, as she felt Lexa still slightly, causing Eivor to cringe upon realizing what she had said, only to blink as she felt Lexa lean more into her, as she breathed a small sigh of relief. 

She was attracted to Lexa, and it was hard to cover that up. So the words “Good girl” just sort of slipped out. 

Eivor continued to hold her as Lexa’s sobbing began to slowly die down minutes later, as she just leaned into Eivor’s warmth, ignoring the fact that she had stopped crying, as the warmth was just…so comforting. 

“You alright now, Lexa?” Eivor softly asked, as Lexa leaned back, breathing in as she wiped her eyes, looking up at Eivor. 

“Thank you for that Eivor…you were right, I needed that” Lexa said, ignoring the way her heart beat faster when Eivor called her a good girl, and the way she wanted to lean back into Eivor’s warmth. 

“You’re welcome, Lexa” Eivor said with a warm smile, as Lexa looked up into her eyes. Eivor noticed, but didn’t say anything as the shorter woman leaned forward, and softly pressed her lips against Eivor’s. 

Eivor was slightly surprised, but reciprocated as she pressed her lips against Lexa’s, her arms soon found their way around Lexa’s waist, as the shorter commander passionately kissed her back. 

“Mhmm, can’t say I was expecting that. Is everyone around here this forward?” Eivor asked, looking down at the slightly panting Lexa. 

“No, I just know what I want, and how to take it” Lexa replied simply, before hungrily surging forwards, locking lips with Eivor again as the taller woman just inwardly chuckled. 

Lexa even in canon had kissed Clarke within literal days of knowing one another, and in that situation they had interacted less than she and Eivor had. Plus Eivor was pretty sure that relationships happened quickly in this world due to the circumstances, so she wasn’t too surprised, and she sure as hell wasn’t complaining as she made out with Lexa. 

Pulling back again, staring down at the cutely blushing Lexa after Eivor had pretty much dominated her mouth, Eivor couldn’t help but ask “So…what does this make us, Lexa? Because no offense, but I’d rather not be some fling or something, even if we’ve only known each other for a short while” 

Lexa scoffed at the mere idea of that “I don’t do “Flings” as for what we are…perhaps girlfriends? Or perhaps we can get to know each other more before we give it a proper title?” Lexa replied, as she wasn’t really sure what to call it. From what she knew, most grounders got with someone pretty quick once they had “Clicked” and boy did she “click” with Eivor, at least in her eyes she did. 

“Hm, I don’t mind the girlfriend title. I mean, who wouldn’t want a girlfriend as beautiful and cute as you?~” Eivor teased as Lexa scowled. 

“Cute?”

”Oh please, love. You were blushing a few seconds ago, don’t try and act like you weren’t. And you can be intimidating to others and cute to me, Lexa” Eivor said, as Lexa glared before huffing as Eivor pecked her on the lips. 

“I hope you understand that this has to be a secret, just for now” Lexa said, as Eivor nodded in understanding, knowing that this wasn’t the time to do something like that, and she wanted to get closer to Lexa first before letting other people know about it. 

With the makeout session done and over with, Eivor glanced at the door as the sound of Clarke’s voice echoed, seemingly arguing with the guards outside.

Looking back to Lexa who sighed, Eivor spoke out loud. 

“Well then…let’s go see what the Sky Princess wants”

That’s the end of the chapter!

She is now with Lexa! I think it makes sense for them to get together quickly, as it happened in canon with her and Clarke, or at least, the first kiss did. Eivor’s total love interests are Lexa, Octavia, and Clarke.
