[3rd POV]

”When you said that you had an idea about how I could repay you, this was not what I was thinking” Alex said with a deadpan, as she watched Rhea swing her…golf club?

“What? Mini golf is fun! Don’t tell me you aren’t enjoying this!” Rhea exclaimed, looking at Alex who looked to the side.

“Hmph, that’s what I thought” Rhea said with a grin, as she inwardly thought that her new friend was positively adorable. The woman acted so serious all the time, that it was nice to see her relaxing and acting all shy.

“Yeah yeah, I’m enjoying this. But I’ve gotta ask, how the hell are you so good at this? You’ve gotten a hole in one every single time!” Alex asked, watching her hit a hole in one again. They were on hole 11, with there being a few more holes left until they were done.

“I’m just better I guess. Why are you jealous, beautiful?” Rhea teased, her grin widening at the blush on the woman’s cheeks. She was happy to get reactions from the woman that she was very attracted to, and she was even more pleased to see that Alex didn’t seem to complain about the compliments, even if she was obviously confused with what she was feeling.

“What? No!” Alex replied, ignoring the comment on her beauty. She didn’t really understand why she was reacting like she was to the compliments, and even why Rhea was complimenting her in the first place. It wasn’t like she was as beautiful as her sister or anything.

”Hmm, kinda sounds like jealousy to me. But it’s okay, not everyone can be as cool as I am” Rhea said with a small smirk, not even reacting as the woman gave her a small glare.

“Well come on then, it’s your turn” Rhea said, stepping back as Alex walked forward and was about to swing, only for Rhea to walk up behind her.

”Ah ah ah, you’re doing it wrong. Here, let me help” Rhea said, before Alex could even complain she stilled as she felt Rhea’s toned arms at her sides, moving her to a proper posture for swinging. She couldn’t help but shiver as she felt the muscular body that she tried not to lean back against, not to mention the hot breath of the woman behind her as she blushed bright red.

Rhea smirked slightly as she felt the woman lean into her slightly, inwardly cheering at the reaction.

“There, now try it” Rhea said, as she pulled back. She could practically feel the disappointment that Alex felt at not feeling that warmth anymore, but that disappointment changed once she had swung, her eyes widening as the ball went straight into the hole, for a hole in one.

“You did it!” Rhea exclaimed with a wide smile, as Alex cheered. That had been the first time she had ever gotten a hole in one in golf.

“I did it!” Alex exclaimed in surprise, as she cheered, but not before hugging Rhea who looked at her in surprise. Alex blinked several times as she realized what she had done, before pulling back with a blush.

“Th-thanks. I’ve never gotten a hole in one before. Or even done this good in golf before. It was…a lot more fun than I was expecting, to be honest” Alex said with a small smile, as they began to get ready to leave. They had been playing for a couple of hours now, just having fun and messing around.

“Not a problem, Alex. It was fun, and you looked like you needed it” Rhea replied with a smile, as Alex looked up at the taller woman in front of her.

“Um…you wanna head back to the bar and just…hang out? It’s still early after all” Alex asked, as Rhea’s eyebrow raised, before a small smirk formed on her face.

”So you do like hanging out with me! I knew it!” Rhea exclaimed with a grin, her grin widening at the glare that Alex gave her, as well as the small dusting of pink on her cheeks.

“But yes, Alex, I’ll be more than happy to hang out more with someone as beautiful as you~” Rhea said, as Alex blushed brighter, trying not to show her reaction to the teasing she was being put under.

“Now c’mon, I’ve got a neat little bar we can go to. And trust me, you’ll be interested in it once you see what makes it so special” Rhea added, as she began to pull Alex along with her, the woman blinking in confusion but shaking it off as she followed after Rhea.

Later, the two had walked up to the outside of “Al’s Dive Bar” a neat little bar as they entered. Only for Alex’s eyes to widen in surprise, as she noticed that several of the people inside were…not exactly human.

“Rhea, what is this place?” Alex asked, as they moved and sat in a booth.

”It’s a neat little place, isn’t it? It’s a bar that welcomes any and all aliens that live on Earth. A safe haven where they aren’t looked down upon, or ridiculed. It’s also open to humans, as long as you don’t rat them out for you know, not being human” Rhea explained, as Alex looked surprised.

“That, and it’s quite good for getting information on aliens in the city. Thought you might be able to use that fact in the future, if you ever need to find some…less than kind ones. Just try not to get this place shut down, will you? I like the chili here” Rhea said, as Alex looked at her before nodding.

“…Thanks, this…this’ll help a lot with some of my work. But I have to ask, why do all of this? Why help me? We barely know each other, hell, we met only a couple of times and that was months ago. So why are you giving me the location of this place? Why hang out with me?” Alex asked, as Rhea looked at her for a few moments before softly smiling.

“Because you needed help, and so I helped. And because you look like you could use a friend. Plus, why wouldn’t I want to be friends with you? You’re smart, beautiful, badass, and funny. Literally everything someone would want in a friend or whatever” Rhea replied, as it was simply the truth.

She wouldn’t have interacted with Alex if she didn’t want to. And if she didn’t want to, she wouldn’t even bother to interact with canon at all. But, she saw Alex in danger, and she stepped in. And she got a new friend out of it, a friend who seemed to be struggling with her own sexuality, if the way she was reacting to her flirting and compliments was any indicator.

“I-I don’t even know what to say to all of that” Alex said with wide eyes, surprised at the compliments. She had never really been complimented like that before, not by anyone but her sister, who did it in a familial manner. But Rhea? Rhea was doing it in a…more romantically interested form. The flirting, the way she was looking at her, Alex wasn’t blind to any of it, and it was stirring some very…new feelings within her, confusing feelings that she had never felt before in her entire life.

“You don’t need to say anything, Alex. You just need to know that I care about you, that’s all” Rhea replied with a warm smile, placing her hand over Alex’s, who looked down at it, before back up to Rhea.

“I-…thank you, Rhea. Really, I’ve…I’ve never really been complimented like that before, or, really looked at in the way you’re looking at me. And…It’s kind of confusing me to be honest. Is-is that a bad thing?” Alex asked, as Rhea shook her head.

“No, Alex, it’s normal. I think maybe you need to speak with someone that isn’t me in regards to them, maybe that sister you’ve been bragging so much about? I’m sure she can help you understand yourself a bit more. And just know that I do feel the same way, you’ll understand what I mean once you understand the feelings you have” Rhea replied, as she had grown to care quite a bit for the woman.

And considering they’d likely be interacting more and more over the next few days, she imagined that it would grow from the attraction that she was currently feeling, to something a lot…more.

“…Okay, okay, yeah I’ll do that. But for now…do you wanna continue our dinner?” Alex asked, as Rhea grinned, and responded.

“I’d love nothing more”

Love interest is Alex, and likely her alone. Not sure if I’ll add anyone else, but I doubt it. She’ll get together with Alex very very quickly.
