Within the confines of a laboratory, two rather large eggs sat next to one another, as a large group of scientists watched silently as they slowly began to crack open, a clawed lizard-like hand ripping through the outer layer, revealing a small lizard-like creature.

This was no mere lizard, no, this was something far more. A woman that had died only moments before, only to awaken within a tightly confined space, in which she had pushed against it with all her might in hopes of escaping, and escape she did.

Only, she had realized moments later, as she gazed upon the titanic humans that surrounded her, that she…she was no human. And upon seeing the sight the lead scientist, Dr Henry Wu, meaning…

She was the Indominus Rex

A powerful species born from a combination of other subspecies, a combination of over 10 species into one powerful beast, a new mutant dinosaur created for war and death. And she was now that very same dinosaur, the one that was the main “Antagonist” of the first Jurassic World movie.

And it wasn’t just that that had caused her new eyes to widen, as she gazed at the words in front of her, a game like screen in her vision.

Each of these genes and their abilities were inherited from one of the species that made up her form. Each of them could be leveled up with 10 gene points, which after asking the system, was gained by killing monsters, eating creatures, and accomplishing certain tasks. What that meant, she had no idea.

She had various other genes in her form that would contribute to her power, but none of them had traits as useful as the ones from the 8 that she started with, so they were ignored.

Each of her traits could be leveled up to a maximum of five, before they would then be able to be evolved into the next form. They could also be fused with others to make a stronger form. Leveling them would cost more and more gene points with each level, growing increasingly expensive and hard to grow, but the trait itself would become drastically stronger each time.

And boy was she pleased with that, but, she could only get these traits from living beings…at the moment at least.

As she ripped through the shell, the woman turned Indominus Rex grumbled in annoyance as the humans looked at her, while inwardly she decided she needed a new name, and that name would be…

‘Domina’

She thought it fit, so she dubbed herself as such, at least for now. She was open to a name change if it ever came to it.

But for now…she needed to survive this place, until she had grown large enough to escape, and maybe she could even help her brother, at least, as long as he didn't attack her or something.

As it turns out, surviving was easy when you have a bunch of scientists feeding you heavily and watching your every mood. And it was because of this feeding, which included raw meats, that she had managed to reach 20 Gene points over the course of the next 2 weeks.

Using these 20 points, she had leveled the two more important skills in her opinion.

During the two weeks of feeding and growing, Domina ended up being taken to Paddock 11, where she was now held. It was a large paddock that mimicked the natural surroundings she would live in, but was surrounded by massive stone walls, steel beams, and all sorts of security measures to stop her from fleeing.

And that wasn’t even covering the tracking implant that had been shoved into her, an implant that hurt like a bitch when it had been injected into her.

She was currently prowling around the paddock, trying to get a good layout of the place for when she escaped once she was larger. At the same time, she was keeping a very close eye on her sibling, a sibling that had become increasingly aggressive against her, almost like their natural aggression had been flipped.

‘Best way to get out is to mimic what my movie counterpart had done, but instead I need to find and hunt as many dinosaurs as I can. The first and most important of them will be a Dino that can fly, and then one that can breath under water. I’d prefer not to fight the humans just yet, with how dangerous they are, but if I have to, I will. Afterall, they won’t be treating me like a person anymore, and for all intents and purposes, will be my enemy no matter what I do to them’ Domina thought, knowing that the natural instinct of humans will be to either kill her or study her, there was no in between.

There would be some that would leave her alone, but most wouldn’t care. So, she’d need to stop thinking like a human, and start thinking like a dinosaur.

And who knew if this world was simply the Jurassic world or if there was some other universe added in. She suspects there was, but she wouldn’t find out until she “conquered” Isla Nublar.

Domina was cut off from her planning as she heard the sound of food incoming. The crane lowered the large slab of meat for her and her sibling. And with her being at a 9.5 Gene Points, this should be the last bit needed for her to get the next level for one of her traits.

Running towards the food, she stopped as she noticed her sibling was guarding it like a hawk, snarling at her as she attempted to get close, causing her teeth to break out into a deep growl as she prowled towards her sibling.

She really really didn’t want to kill him, as he was the only other person of her kind, but with the way he was glowingly more aggressive towards her, and with her own new instincts coming into play, it was becoming more and more difficult to not kill the annoying bastard.

Her counterpart had already killed him in the movie, and nothing actually happened to her. So she was beginning to wonder if it was even worth it. She would have loved to make him submit to her so that she can have a new ally to fight against the other Dino’s and the humans, but…as she looked at her siblings maddening eyes, the psychopathy already in his eyes, she knew deep down…that that would not be possible.

She wasn’t sure if it was the natural side effects of creating a hybrid, or if it was something else, but she knew that her brother would die today…

And she would be getting some more gene points.

As she charged towards her smaller sibling, Domina had only one thought on her mind, as they began their fight.

‘…For what it’s worth, I’m sorry’

This is one of my other vault fic ideas I’ve had of recent, and will probably be the last one for a while in this genre…I think, Idk I might make more.

No idea who I’d make the love interest for this fic, or if I’d even make one.
