Chapter 227 [Vault]

[1st POV]

I remembered dying. I remembered death coming for me, as I died in a rather nasty car crash. Some idiot decided to cut in front of me, and I wasn’t able to slow down fast enough before I slammed into them, and now, now I am dead.

Not really how I wished to spend my 18th birthday, but I guess it could have been a lot worse. Well…maybe I guess. At least I didn’t suffer. The death was instant, no burning, no pain, just…death. I could have suffered, so I guess this was for the best.

And now I was here, in some sort of infinite dimension. A void of absolute darkness, nothing that the eye can see. It was…uncomfortable, like I wasn’t meant to be here, like I was some sort of intruder.

It was not a fun feeling.

But thankfully, it seemed that I won’t be staying in this discomfort for long, as I stared forwards, a game like screen glowing in my vision.

[Congratulations, you have died! Well…maybe not congratulations for that part, but still! You have been chosen to reincarnate into the Marvel universe, one that is a mixture of comics and the MCU! You have been given one, singular boon, and that is…the ability to choose out of two dimensions! Whichever dimension you choose, will be the one that you shall rule over! You can conquer and take over additional dimensions should you gain control over them! Please select your dimension]

[The Darkforce Dimension - Specializes in darkness, corruption, and similar aspects]

[The Lightforce Dimension - Specializes particularly in healing, purification, and light]

[Choose carefully, as it will dictate what your new appearance will be]

Well that isn’t exactly much to choose from. And becoming a dimensional ruler? Meaning I’ll be like Dormammu? Or even Mephisto? I mean…that isn’t the worst thing in the world, as it should mean I’ll be super strong!

The real question is which one I’d rather rule over in the beginning. Cause if I can, I’ll just take over the other one eventually. But which one would be better to start out with? Considering the powers of each of them, and the way they are viewed…there is only really one choice in this situation, and that is…

”Lightforce Dimension please!” I said, as it really was just the best option. Plus I’d rather not live within a huge plane of darkness, even it might be strong.

[Alright then, Lightforce Dimension selected! It’ll be up to you to learn about your new powers, but I’m certain you’ll be fine. As you’ll inherently master your powers rapidly. Now then, it’s time to head off, please enjoy your new life…Lux]

“Lux huh…not a bad name, thanks System!”

Those were the last of my words, as everything began to swirl, as I was pulled away from the void.

[3rd POV]

Within what seemed to be an infinite expanse of white and golden light, a single figure floated throughout. She was a gorgeous woman, standing at what seemed to be 6’0 tall, with long blonde hair, and a perfect figure, with curves in all the right places, and impressive…assets. This, was Lux, the new Dimensional Ruler of The Lightforce dimension, which is where she floated through at the very moment.

Slowly her eyes began to creep open, revealing glowing golden eyes, that glanced around, a small smile beginning to form on her face as she moved her body, “Sitting” upright, as she looked around. She looked as if she was sitting with her legs crossed.

“Man, this place is a lot more beautiful than I was expecting” Lux muttered, as she looked around her dimension. Sure, it was just a huge expanse of light, but she had to admit that it had its appeal. Or maybe this was just because she was it’s ruler?

She had no idea, nor did she really care.

Instead, she was more focused on figuring out how to utilize this new power. She could already feel it, the Lightforce within her, the practically infinite amounts of power within her. As while within her dimension, she was nigh-omnipotent. And it was because of this, that not many people would dare attempt to attack her realm.

She could also sense and feel the full extent of her dimension, as well as those who utilized its powers. And she could tell that there were quite a lot of people, but she’d look into it after she figured out how to use this power of hers.

“I wonder how easily I could take the Darkforce dimension for myself?” Lux muttered. As the ruler of a dimension, she could instinctively feel the others, and where they were. She could just spread her senses and find them at will, and then she would be able to conquer the ones without a ruler.

She wondered why they didn’t have a ruler in the first place, but she suspected it was because of the nature of the power, or perhaps it had something to do with them. Like maybe they couldn’t handle more than so much power, or so many dimensions tied to them.

She had no idea what the case was, all she knew is that she was going to take the Darkforce dimension the second that she could, as otherwise, it could become problematic. The Darkforce was the perfect counter to her power, and she’d rather not have to deal with it should it somehow prop up against her.

So instead, she opted to learn how to utilize her immense power, and then look into taking the Darkforce Dimension for herself. After that? She would make a list of dimensions to conquer, ones that would be ripe for the taking.

She’d also need to look out for Dormammu and Mephisto, as she imagined that they would cause some…irritating issues should they not like the fact that she was taking over dimensions.

Too bad they wouldn’t be able to stop her, not once she started.

So for now, she looked down at her hands, as the same golden glow that the dimension was made up of, glowed in her hands. She smiled as she gazed down at the power, and began to train wholeheartedly.

”Man I’m so boooored!” Lux whined as she sat on a makeshift throne made of pure Lightforce.

It had been around 2 months since she had appeared in this dimension. And she had long since mastered her power, as like the system had said, she instinctively was able to learn and master it at immense rates. This was thanks to her being the ruler of the dimension, meaning any dimension she took over in the future would likely become the same.

“Maybe It’s time to take over the Darkforce dimension? Or maybe the Punch Dimension? Although that one should probably come after the Darkforce” Lux muttered, remembering the dimension that Cyclops pulled his power from, a dimension of pure, endless concussive force.

She knew that either of them would boost her power by a lot, but the latter more so. As infinite concussive force was…incredibly powerful.

Nothing in comparison to someone like Dormammu or the higher levels though.

“Hmm, guess the Darkforce will be for the best. It compliments my Lightforce, and they can work together in a unity, sorta like Yin and Yang” Lux said with a hum, as she began to spread her senses to find the place.

She knew that unlike her Lightforce dimension, it did indeed have inhabitants. Demons, things called “The Source”, and even a large tree planted by an Elder of the Universe, known as the “Tree of Shadow” which is where the amulets used by the Fraternity of Raptors of the Shi’ar, were made.

She’d allow them to continue to use it, as long as they understood that she was the ruler of the dimension once she took it over.

And she suspected that taking it over wouldn’t be that difficult, as even without her nigh-omnipotent power from being inside of the Lightforce Dimension, it should be relatively easy to take it over.

And so, as she found the dimension, Lux grinned, as she teleported off, ready to conquer a new dimension under her name.

All the while, she had one thought on her mind.

‘Time for some fun!’
