Chapter 274 [Vault]

Title - The New Fiona Gallagher | Chapter 1 | Female

________________________________________________

[3rd POV]

Fiona Gallagher was lost. Very very lost.

She remembered having a rather…unfun day, as usual. Going to the odd jobs that she did pretty much everyday after she had turned like…10. Using her time to make as much money as humanly possible in order to take care of her many siblings.

5 siblings at that.

She remembered that she was crossing the street, heading to her interview at a local club that would have given her a decent income, if not a bit pervy, and would likely lead to more than just a few wandering hands.

And then, when she walked across the street, or at least she was walking across it…she remembered the screech of a car, and then blinding pain, and screams of horror from V, her best friend V who had gotten her this interview.

And now…now she remembered things.

Of her previous life as a girl named “Claire Wilson” the daughter of an incredible rich billionaire, a lonely daughter who was the opposite of Fiona. No proper family, filthy fucking rich, and completely average in most ways. A life where all she wanted was family, a family that she would gladly give up all her wealth for. A family she now had.

She remembered that life…her life. A life where her current life was just…fiction, her life was nothing more than a tv show. Her sadness, her heartbreak, her future, all laid out in front of her through a god damn tv.

And Fiona was terrified when she realized that that was her future. That she was going to become…that.

Fiona…Claire…whoever the fuck she was now knew that she couldn’t let that happen. That she wouldn’t let that happen.

And thank God - perhaps literally - whatever entity had given her this chance, this chance to improve and redeem herself, to become better, had given her a great, incredible, monstrous boon.

The boon of talent. Of the talent of three different fictional…no, three different people.

Elliot Anderson from Mr Robot, an incredibly skilled hacker and programming, perhaps the best in his world.

Mary Adler from the movie gifted, who was incredibly gifted mentally, and was monstrously talented in all things math.

And Sheldon Cooper, a brilliant scientist and an incredible mind with a high IQ of 186. But he was a moron in terms of social queues and understanding people.

It was all of their talent but none of the memories, meaning she would have to start completely new in order to grow and become truly incredible.

In her past life she was a lonely woman with far too much time on her hands, so she spent it…gaming. She wanted to be a game developer in her past life, she wanted to make money and move out on her own. So she learned about games and their history, past games like Flappy Bird, Tetris, and many others and how they were developed.

She was NOT good at it sadly enough, she barely understood the numbers and how to use them, how to code and use the various scripts to create something of her own. Not something her piece of shit dad made.

A dad that made money off of the suffering of others, his company that he ran was a health insurance company, one that made money off of denying people the ability to “heal”. She hated that man, and she hated her current father too.

Both were pieces of shit.

But what she had now as a family, kids that were her own. Because while they didn’t call her mom, she was their mom in every form besides title, and now she had the talent to truly take care of them.

Sure, she didn’t really give a shit about science or math, and far preferred programming, coding, and game development, but she might be able to still use it in the future.

And she’d have to grow on her own anyways.

With this talent though? She could make something truly incredible, a future for her family. She knew what games were coming, how they were made, what they would make. But she also knew that this world was…lacking.

That a lot of games that should exist in the 2000’s didn’t. And a lot of them would likely never come to exist in this world.

And she was glad for that, as with it she could make millions and save her family. And hopefully move somewhere far less shitty, maybe LA or something.

She thought Caltech could be good for Lip. And it would be nice and sunny for Debbie. Somewhere she could raise them without them becoming shitheads like most of them did in the future.

And so, while Fiona Gallagher was still lost through her darkness, through the coma that was stopping her from doing anything, she knew it was time to wake up, and finally time to change the future.

For her family.

For her kids.

And for a fuck ton of money.

And soon, the light began to come, and Fiona Gallagher began to awaken anew.

The Gallagher family was in chaos.

It had been three days since Fiona had been hit by that shithead in the truck, and they were all freaking the hell out. Even Lip, who was usually somewhat calm and collected, was beginning to unravel.

They couldn’t lose her. They couldn’t lose Fiona. Not her, never her. Frank was one thing, he they could handle, but Fiona? They’d shatter, they would break.

And they already were.

V and Kevin had been helping, checking up on Fiona all the time and using their mornings to make breakfast for the family, helping them.

They did it for Fiona, who was thankfully not too injured, but had hit her head pretty damn hard, and was now in a coma because of it.

The man that hit her was drunk, and now in jail. They’d likely get a pretty large sum of money from him in the end, as he was in the wrong. But that still didn’t help with the damn medical bill.

At the moment Lip was sitting in the chair next to the unconscious Fiona, sleeping as he was waiting for her to hopefully wake up. He had been dealing with the bills…or at least trying to. Doing whatever he could to handle it until Fiona woke up.

And as he slept, Fiona began to stir silently, her form moving as slowly a breath echoed from her throat, and her eyes opened slowly.

She felt the dull ache of pain travel through her from the car hitting her, an ache that was centered almost entirely in her head. But thankfully it seemed she got really lucky, and beyond a head injury, she wasn’t actually that hurt.

A miracle.

Looking around, she stopped when she saw Lip sleeping next to her, a soft smile forming on her face. She remembered when he was little and she had to take care of him after Monica and Frank went on a bender, the little boy she remembered had grown up a lot.

And she hoped to see him become better than he would be in “canon”. She wanted to see him go to college, to enjoy life. To not be limited to running an auto shop or whatever the fuck he was doing.

She wanted to see him go to Caltech, because quite frankly? She hated Chicago. She really really didn’t want the kids to be here anymore, not after seeing what they would become.

So she decided that once she made enough money, she would move to California with them, live in a nice ass mansion in Beverley hills or something, and take them to good schools where they can live happily without worry.

And she already had a few ideas of how to make that money, knowing it was 2011 right now, and she was currently 20. It was currently the very beginning of the summer, meaning it was the start of “season 2”. The timeline was confusing as fuck, but she was pretty sure that “season 4” was during 2013…probably.

She didn’t really know at this point.

Looking at her brother, Fiona reached her hand out and began to softly shake him.

“Lip, bud, wake up” She whispered, as the teen began to grumble.

“Not now Fiona, I’m tired” Lip whined, as he began to lean back into the bed, only to stop when he realized what he just said, and shot up with wide eyes, staring at the smirking form of his sister.

“What, you think I’ll die from a damn truck hitting me? Takes a fuck ton more than that to k-oof” Fiona grunted, as Lip moved forwards and hugged her tightly, her eyes softening when she felt him cling to her as she realized he was worried, really worried.

“Y-You’re okay” He whispered, as Fiona pat his back.

“Yeah bud, I’m okay. I’ve got an awful migraine and my back hurts like a bitch, but nothing too bad” Fiona responded with a smile, as her brother leaned back looking her in the eyes.

“You scared the fuck out of us, Fiona” Lip said, as Fiona chuckled.

“Yeah I know, but I ain’t dying on you guys yet, not for a long time. Now get your ass on that phone and tell the others, I want more hugs” Fiona said, as the teen’s eyes widened and he raced off to make some calls.

Watching her little brother run off to tell everyone the good news over the phone, Fiona smiled softly, one thought on her mind as he left.

‘…Time to change the future’

That’s the end of the chapter!

This one will be starting out in Shameless, but will move into Modern Family down in California by season 3-4 of Shameless. That would be volume 2 of this fanfic.

Love interest is Haley, as I think she actually fits Fiona. And Fiona is only three years older than her surprisingly enough. So by the time she goes down there in 2013 or so, she’ll be 23 and Haley 20.

Fiona will be smart, intelligent, and will grow rapidly, but she will NOT be overpowered. She doesn’t have any superpowers or anything, and is just really damn smart and that’s it.

Anyways, have a good day!
