Chapter 6 [Vault]

[TITLE - The overpowered gamer in Legacies]

Dying wasn't something a 17-year-old would usually expect to go through, so when I was crossing the street to my high school, I wasn't exactly expecting to get rammed into by the almighty truck-kun himself. I had, in all rights, been a relatively unusual person, at least I'd like to think so. I had been born to a single mother who had worked her life trying to raise me the best she could, and as one would expect, she couldn't handle the struggle for very long. So, after years of working, she had a heart attack from the stress and died on my 12th birthday.

After she died I had bounced around relatives before eventually settling with my heavily religious grandparents. Them being religious wouldn't normally matter, but for someone who knew even at the age of 12 that she was very much gay, this was kind of a death sentence. Funnily enough, it wasn't the overly religious grandparents that got me killed, but truck-kun.

After I came out to them on my 15th birthday, their reaction wasn't pleasant, to say the least, as you'd expect from someone who still despised gay people to an insane degree. Safe to say, I was kicked out after that and forced to live alone before social services got involved.

This led to two more years of bouncing around families, all the while I was growing into my own person. A rather unhealthy obsession with all things fiction grew from this, mainly because of a cousin introducing me to the fantastical world of TV shows and movies. The obsession was immediate and grew to admittedly unhealthy levels.

So when I was crushed into what was basically a fine paste by a huge 18-wheeler, my excitement was unusually high for someone who was just killed. But what can I say, I was never your average individual. Not to mention the fact that seeing your own finely crushed body was weirdly funny to me.

Now that I am dead I can only hope that I'll leave this place soon, like seriously, who likes sitting in a place that is pitch black? I'm probably not totally sane, but even I'm not that crazy!

[I am not sure whether to feel insulted or not]

Hearing this voice I perked up, finally, I can leave this shit hole! I was about to demand to see the manager or something. Looking around I immediately noticed that the being that spoke was a "screen" or at least looked like it was.

[*Sigh* I hate my job...Anyways, as you're probably guessing, you have been chosen to receive a boon from god and reincarnate in a new world! No, you don't get to choose, and no I don't care how much you complain]

Did it just say sigh? Wait, that's not the point! This is my chance! Even if I can't choose my boon or world, I doubt they'd take the time to tell me all of this if I wasn't sent to a decent world with a good boon!

[You would be correct in your statement little soul. Now that you have finished your little inner monologue, I'm going to send you on your way before the big guy gets mad at me]

Wait! I don't get to know my world or boon? Not that I'm complaining or anything but I'd like to know what I'm getting put into at least!

[Alright, Alright, you're getting a system of special origin, and are being sent to the TVD universe. You won't have to worry about other reincarnators or any of that, as you are all in separate omniverses that you are limited to unless given permission from the big man himself]

oh...I was half expecting to be ignored and sent on my way without any type of warning. Well, this is way better than what I was expecting so I can't complain. One last question, is the system one of those sentient ones? I'm kind of hoping not as they can be annoying.

[No it's not sentient, as the most it has is AI of immense levels. It is simply made to help you through your travels and nothing more, nothing less. Anyways, not that your questioning is done, I really need to send you on your way, as believe me, you don't want the big guy to get mad at you. The last guy who pissed him off was forced to watch human Centipede on repeat for a thousand years]

[3rd POV]

Slowly opening her eyes, the young woman immediately noticed the immediate difference in location. It looked to be quite dark outside, probably somewhere around midnight.

'Thank god I'm out of that shit hole, seriously, why the void? Couldn't they make it like an office building or something? At least that wouldn't make me slowly go insane'

Before the young woman could continue her thoughts, a voice in her head cut her off.

[Welcome host! I am the system, created by the supreme being for your service. I have a few main functions, would you like to see them] [Yes/No]

'Uh...yes I guess?'

[My main functions are the following!

Status - Shows the host's current status, due to the supreme being disliking the idea of a gamer system, there are no stats, no levels, and nothing like that. Instead, the user can gain new skills and abilities, which can be leveled up and evolved into new abilities/skills. There are also classes the user can gain access to after completing a certain quest, receiving an item that can give the user the class and more. These skills can be evolved by completing a certain condition, and/or getting a certain item/race. Not all skills can be evolved.

Lottery - Allows the user to use lottery tickets which can be used to randomly roll for items, skills, perks, and even races.

Quests - Gives the user tasks which if completed give the user a suitable reward depending on the difficulty. The rewards are quite generous due to the supreme being taking pity on you. There are also hidden quests that will give rewards for completing a hidden task, not in the quest section of the system. These quests are completely optional, and the user receives no punishment for denying them.

Dungeon - A separate dimension that the user can access, by killing enemies within this dimension, the user may receive rewards which include items, XP for skills, and more. There are also dungeon-specific quests that only can be done, and completed within a specific dungeon.

World Travel - Allows the user to travel to other worlds after getting to a certain point in the story, or completing certain, sometimes difficult tasks.

The user has completed 1 quest and has a starter pack, would the user like to receive the rewards?]

Hearing all of this the young woman was a little surprised but nodded nonetheless.

[Quest Completed!] - [Learn the functions of the system!] - [Rewards - 5 Lottery tickets, 10,000 dollars]

[Starter Pack Obtained!] - [Starter Pack contents - 1,000,000 Dollars, 5 lottery tickets]

Seeing all of these rewards, the young woman was surprised but thought inwardly that the system did say the supreme deity took pity on her, so they increased the rewards of the system.

Deciding that she needed to see where she currently was before anything, the young woman looked around and noticed she was within what seemed to be a large forest. She wasn't sure where exactly she was, but she could only guess she was near Mystic Falls. 'Where and when exactly am I system?'

[Just outside the town of Mystic Falls, Season 1 of Legacies will begin within a month or so.]

'Probably the best time to start, at least in terms of safety. Say system, do I have a place to stay?'

[Yes. You have a mid-sized apartment within Mystic Falls, would you like directions to it?]

'Yes'

After thinking this, the young woman began to slowly move towards the direction of her new apartment all while she was looking over her new body. She was certainly taller than she remembered, and she definitely had a gorgeous body. However what really got her surprised, and caused her to stop walking in shock, was the evident male member between her legs, which was very obviously huge.

'System, why do I have a dick?' She wasn't really against the idea though, as while having a dick was strange and something she'd need to get used to, it would make sex a hell of a lot more enjoyable. Hell, she even had a couple of naughty thoughts about having and using one in her past life.

[The user was given this as a gift, as the supreme being sensed the user's subconscious wish for one. The user still possesses all of the female parts, it's just that they now have a fully functioning penis and testicles as well]

Hearing this the young woman sighed before nodding. She guessed she was going to have to learn how to properly use this thing now, but before that, she needed to get to her new home.

After an hour of traveling through the night, she eventually made it to her new apartment building, and asked 'System, how am I going to even get into my apartment?'

[The key is under the mat]

Hearing this she sighed at how dumb that was, but grabbed the key and opened the door nonetheless. Walking in, she had to admit that the apartment was pretty nice, not to mention cozy.

Finally being able to relax for a second, she finally asked the system the question she'd been meaning to ask. 'Can I see my status?'

Well...That's way better than I thought it would be, although I'd rather not have a used napkin

'Hey system, can I eat the heart-shaped herb and actually use it?'

[Yes, the user must also assimilate their new species and powers. Would the user like to do so? It will be painful, and the system suggests eating the heart-shaped herb at the same time]

Fuck I forgot that pain was something I'd be feeling a lot more now...welp can't pussy out anymore.

[3rd POV]

After thinking that, Alexandria brought out the heart-shaped herb, and swallowed it while saying yes to the assimilation process. Almost immediately after swallowing the herb and saying yes, pain assaulted her very being. To say it was painful was an understatement, it was akin to having thousands of needles constantly poking you...while you're burning alive. Needless to say, she screamed, and loudly at that.

She couldn't properly form a line of thought while the pain assaulted her, so she was forced to spasm on the ground in pain, waiting for the anguish to eventually end. Unknown to Alexandria, her body was quite literally being rebuilt from the ground up. Her blood was being changed and warped into something new, something...divine. After the twentieth minute of being changed, her body caught on fire, and began to burn. This fire wasn't burning anything in her surroundings but instead just her. When the fire was finally done burning, her new and improved body was revealed, sadly, her assimilation wasn't over with just this.

After thirty minutes of having her body changed, strengthened, and then broken down again to be changed even more, the assimilation was finally over. The difference wasn't huge but was definitely noticeable, she grew a few inches growing from 5'8 to 6'0. The biggest difference was the evident six-pack and the fact that her member was a couple of inches bigger than before.

Finally finished, Alexandria couldn't even move, the exhaustion from the assimilation hitting her like a bus. She was forced to just fall asleep, still lying on the floor of her apartment, not seeing the notification appearing in front of her.

That’s the end of this chapter. This is an old fic, so it’s probably not that good. I’ve got a couple more chapters for it that I’ll post maybe tomorrow or Thursday.
