Chapter 8 [Vault]

[TITLE - Master of Horror]

Dying wasn’t amongst my plans for the future. Being a seventeen year old who had been at the tail end of highschool, I had expected to graduate and live my life peacefully, using the wealth my parents had to live my life freely. But nope, I had been killed, how? I have no idea, only that I had certainly died, and now I was here, in this seemingly infinite void of darkness.

I had been a rather normal rich teen, who had two very wealthy parents who had died and passed all their wealth onto me. I had good grades, enough that I got multiple scholarship offers, and I had been a bit of a loner all things considered. Besides all of that, I had a deep love for all things fictional. I had a rather large collection of movies, shows, and everything in between. I loved horror more than anything, with life sized props of various horror characters, and horror items.

Due to this deep love of everything fiction, I am fairly certain that I am currently in one of those fanfiction situations that I have seen so many times in the past.

Well then, that solves that issue. Now there is the issue of what world I should start in, if this is anything like those fanfictions I have read before, then chances are I am going to be able to travel to all these worlds in the future. Really it comes down to which one is safest, and which one I want to start in.

MCU is instantly out, as much as I love the universe, it is far too dangerous for a starter world. Doctor Who is basically on the same boat. Harry Potter wouldn’t be bad, but I don’t really want to deal with all the BS that comes with going to Hogwarts. Teen Wolf also wouldn’t be bad, but it doesn’t really have a lot of power to be gained. Superman and Lois would be decent, but it is far too strong for a starter world, considering it has one of, if not the strongest iterations of live action superman. Really it comes down to Twilight or TVD.

Twilight wouldn’t be bad, but it doesn’t have much to offer in the end. Whereas going to TVD wouldn’t be too dangerous, but also has a decent amount of power to be gained. Plus, I just prefer TVD over Twilight either way. Legacies would be the timeline I’d pick, as it is definitely safer than the other two, and is the one I am most knowledgeable about.

Pressing on TVD - Legacies, I watched as the screen blinked and began to change.

Master of Horror - Allows the user to summon horror characters from throughout fiction, be it movies, shows, games, to even books. The user can summon just about any horror character, as long as they are not too strong, they must also be relatively close to the user in power, or weaker than the user. Certain summons cannot be summoned more than once, such as Jason Voorhees. The user can only summon a maximum of [Your age x3 = 51]. These summons are completely subservient to the user, while also having their original personalities intact. The user can use the power of these summons, but only three at a time, this limit can be increased. The user can also see through and control the eyes of these summons from a distance, allowing the user to have a sort of telepathic connection to them. The user can also use the memories of the summons when using their powers, after enough uses of that summon, these memories may be permanently in the users head. The user can also unsummon already summoned summons, and ressumon them in the future. The user cannot change a summon once it has already been summoned. This ability may ?????????? ????? ????? ?????.

This…is pretty good. I knew I had a love for horror, but I didn’t realize it was enough for the power I gain to be entirely dedicated to it. Those question marks are a bit worrying, but I can only hope it is something positive. Seeing as the screen is blinking again, I can only guess that this is going a bit farther than I thought.

Well that species is definitely worrying. I guess this is something I am going to have to figure out when possible. The fact that I don’t even know my background is also a bit of a problem, but I should find it out easy enough. Once again I watched as the screen began to change into something new.

I can make a new appearance? Well that is pretty nice, I like to think I was attractive in my past life, but there was definitely things I would have changed if given the opportunity, and now I have one. Beginning my rather long process of making a new body, I spent what felt like forever making the perfect new body.

After awhile I decided on my new appearance.

Nodding in appreciation at what would be my new form, I watched as the screen blinked one last time.

[Traits added - Infinite Potential, Multiverse Travel, and Status]

The infinite potential alone is pretty good, it means that I can grow infinitely without any real blockers. I won’t have to worry about my growth stalling at least. The status will be helpful, if only to keep track of the summons and all that. The multiverse travel is obvious, it’ll allow me to go to other worlds I am interested in, in the future. I am assuming my summons and anyone I want to bring with me, can come with me as well.

Pre-Legacies is the only real choice in this situation, there is no way in hell I am appearing any later than that. Pressing on Pre-Legacies, I watched as the screen blinked one final time.

That’s the end of the chapter. Next chapter will be his transmigration, and him using his power for the first time.

He will also summon a few characters pretty quick. He will take part in canon pretty quickly, after a few chapters or so.

Every chapter will be at roughly 1000 words, and at most 5000. It will vary a lot depending on my mood, and how much I wish to write.

The mc is going to be VERY chaotic neutral, leaning towards evil. He will kill others, while he won’t go out of his way to do so, he still will, be it innocent or not. He won’t really stop his horror summons, but he does have a limit. Which is the R word, and murdering innocent children.
