Chapter 9 [Vault]

[TITLE - Master of Horror | Chapter 2]

*Gasp* A sharp gasp escaped my throat as I shot up. One moment I was in the void, and now I was here, in this seemingly large bedroom, with nothing but the clothing upon my back. Slowly getting to my feet, I looked out the window and noticed that it was roughly noon, more than enough time to figure out what to do.

Walking throughout the mansion, the first thing I noticed was that it was large, and rather dusty in various parts. I also noticed that it had no food, and while the electricity worked, it was all old, as in from the late 80’s early 90’s old.

That was something I was going to have to have fixed. But first, I needed to test something “Status”

Well, that is better than what I had expected. Having 51 summons is a bit busted, but considering I can only summon a rather limited group right now, I guess it evens out. The summons themselves will be completely loyal to me, so that’s a plus. The wealth is also a serious plus, not as much as what my parents had in my previous life, but more than enough for me.

Who should I even summon? Considering I am in the middle of nowhere, in some mansion that doesn’t seem to have any food, I need someone who would actually know how to hunt and scavenge. There is really only one person that comes to my mind.

I don’t really need a ton of summons right now. And the one I have in mind is definitely enough for hunting food and all that. Eventually, I will try to get into a city so that I can get some more supplies, but for now, I’ll use him.

I am assuming all it takes is imagination, and intent. Closing my eyes, I breathed in deeply. Slowly I felt a strange sensation, as if something was being drained from me. As the sensation ended, I opened my eyes, and standing before me was my first summon, and one of the most recognizable horror characters ever.

Jason Voorhees

The 6’5 masked killer stood before me, machete in hand. Looking at him, I had to control myself to not fangirl at seeing the man in person.

The man silently looked at me before…lowering his head? Seeing this I realized that the subservient nature of these summons, was better than I thought.

“Alright Jason, I need you to go out an hunt for some food, can you do that?” I spoke out my first order to the masked man. Hearing this the man gave a simple nod, before turning, and slowly walking off, opening the front door, and going outside to begin his hunt.

‘Well…that was easier than I thought. I was half expecting that I would have more pushback from him, but nope, he just instantly submitted’ I thought, realizing that this was easier than I was expecting, not that that is a bad thing or anything.

Turning I moved and sat on a nearby sofa. Seeing as it would be a while before Jason returned, I needed to think about who to summon next. I wasn’t going to use all the summons of course, but I was going to use a few of them.

Going with someone that can help me test out what species I am is a must. I guess I have a couple in mind. Most of the summons I can summon right now, are kinda useless. But…I think this is the best choice.

Closing my eyes, I replicated what I did with the summoning of Jason. This time I decided on an even better hunter, and one that can aid me in testing out what species I actually am, as if I am correct, I am more than likely not just one species, but multiple.

In front of me slowly but surely an alien like being appeared, another incredibly recognizable one. As well as one of my personal favorites.

I couldn’t help but grin at the alien, and my grin widened as it slowly lowered it’s head to me, bowing in submission. Looking at it, I began to speak “I want you to begin a hunt, find a human that is attempting to harm others, be it through rape, or something else. Bring them to me alive as well”

Hearing this the Yautja looked at me before nodding as well as giving me a few clicks, which was it’s form of speech. It then walked off, just as Jason did. Seeing as that was over with, now it was only a matter of time before I could properly test this ability of mine, while also seeing what species I truly am.

‘Seeing as that is done, I need to look to the future now. I’ll hold off on summoning for now, but my future summons should be someone that can give me more help in regards to actual defense and skills. Technically Underworld is considered a horror movie, so I guess Selene would be a prime choice’ I thought with a contemplative look on my face.

‘But for now, I should wait for them to return before deciding on anything. Should I activate as a Werewolf like I am expecting, then chances are Alaric will come to me using that supernatural detection globe thingy he has. Joining that school would be for the best, as I can still summon these characters, while also learning a bit more, and getting more chances at growing in power’

For now I decided on waiting until they get back. Flopping onto the sofa, I sat back and closed my eyes, deciding to take a nap before they return back from their individual hunts.

That is that. I don’t really know how to continue from there, so the next chapter will have him testing his theory, and then a time skip to Alaric and them coming for him.

Writing this was genuinely difficult due to the way I started it out.

Love interests are going to be something new, in the form of Lizzie and Josie, both of them.
