Chapter 12 [Vault]

After cleaning up the surroundings, and myself, it was finally time. ‘Multiverse Travel’ I thought, as a screen similar to the status screen, blinked in front of me.

Smiling at the choices, I slowly raised my finger, and pressed on Fate: Winx Saga. Immediately after pressing on the words, the screen blinked and changed.

[Fate: Winx Saga chosen. Initiating multiverse travel]

After I read the new screen, my vision began to spin, as everything went black.

[Location: ??????] [POV: Hope Mikaelson]

Sitting up with a sharp gasp, I opened my eyes slowly as my vision returned to me. Beginning to sit up, I began to take in my surroundings. I was in a forest, just as I had been when I activated the multiverse travel, but this time, it was different. I could literally feel the magic in the surroundings.

‘Great…looks like I am in the forest of Alfea’ I thought with a sigh. Seeing as I was in the forest, going to the school would be rather easy, it was the getting accepted part that would be difficult. Whether or not Dowling will accept me, is the question.

Beginning to walk, I began to look around the forest, using my new supernatural vision ability. Turning in each direction, I eventually found what I was looking for. Walking in the direction of the main campus, I began to think about how to go about this situation.

‘I guess going and meeting Dowling, would be the best idea. She seems like a pretty understanding person, so all I need to do is show off the magic I have, and she might just accept me into the school’ I thought with a hum, as I began to get closer to the main campus of the school.

‘Looks like it’s the first day’ I thought, as I stepped out of the forest discreetly. I made sure to clean myself up beforehand of course.

Walking towards the school on the dirt pathway, I noticed a few of the main characters. There was Terra, Aisha, and Musa. Bloom and Stella were probably already in the school, with Bloom speaking to Dowling.

Walking through the courtyard, I walked over and into, what I believe is called the Fairy Hall, if I remember correctly. Quietly, I made my way through the hall, and towards where the Headmistress's office should be, if my new and improved senses weren’t wrong.

I could feel a few stares at me, but I ignored them. Opening the door to where the Headmistress's assistant was seated, I began to speak. “Is the headmistress in? I was hoping to speak with her”

Callum, the current assistant for Dowling, looked up at me before replying “She’s currently speaking with another student, if you give me your name, I can tell her that you wished to speak with her”

“No that’s fine, I can wait” I replied, knowing that she would not know who I was. Hearing this Callum just sighed but nodded, seeing that he wasn’t going to stop me, I inwardly grinned before standing to wait for Dowling to finish.

After a few minutes of standing and waiting, the door eventually opened, a redhead walking out of the office. ‘So that must be Bloom…she’s pretty’ I thought, before noticing the older woman standing at the door. Looking at me, Dowling had furrowed her eyebrows slightly, before turning to Callum with a questioning look on her face.

[Dowling]

“She wishes to speak with you, she didn’t give me her name” Callum answered, causing Dowling to turn to me before motioning me to enter.

Walking into the office, Dowling shut the door before moving and sitting at her desk “I remember the faces of just about every student within this school, and I don’t recall ever meeting you”

Hearing this, I cracked a smile before replying “That’s because we’ve never met until now. I am actually here to ask to be enrolled”

Dowling looked at me with a raised eyebrow “There is an enrollment process you must go through”

“My circumstances are…special” I replied, causing Dowling to look at me with her eyebrow still raised.

“Special how?”

“I think it would be better if I just showed you, if you’d allow me” I replied. It’d be a lot better to just show her simply, rather than beat around the bush and try to explain it.

Dowling, hearing what I said, motioned for me to begin. Seeing this I cracked a smile before beginning.

First, I began with a simple incendia, which was a fire spell, and then I cast a Lecutio, aka a spell that makes sparks of electricity. After that, I used Post tenebras spero lucem, which was basically just a spell used to make a ball of light. Finally, I used Ventus, which basically just makes a torrent of wind, and then cast Aquam alia which is basically the same as Ventus, but with water.

Focusing back on Dowling, the woman had a look of shock on her face, as her eyes were widened beyond belief. Before the woman could speak, I began to “As you can see, my magic is a bit…unique, to say the least. I would have enrolled normally, but I wasn’t really sure how to do that. And I was raised in the first world, which sort of makes that a whole lot harder”

Dowling slowly regained her features as she listened to what I said. Nodding along with what I was saying, she began to reply “I see…you are certainly the first student I have had, with a power similar to that. But, considering the circumstances, I suppose I can enroll you”

Hearing this I grinned, but stopped when Dowling continued “But! I must speak with your parents first”

My grin disappeared at this, as I replied quietly “They’re dead” Hearing this Dowling’s eyes widened before a sad look crossed her face.

“I apologize. What about your current guardian?” Dowling asked, probably wanting to speak with an adult in regards to my enrollment.

“I don’t really have one. I came here because it was pretty much the only option I have” I replied, causing Dowling to look down in thought.

“I suppose I will have to make an exception then. I will take the place of your guardian so that you can legally enroll, only, of course, if you are willing” Hearing Dowling say this, my eyes widened slightly before nodding in acceptance.

“Uh, my name’s Hope. Hope Mikaelson” Dowling smiled at my introduction before replying “It’s nice to meet you Hope. My name is Farah Dowling. But you may call me Ms. Dowling”

“Nice to meet you, Ms. Dowling” I replied with a small smile, before Dowling began to dig through some of her papers, before grabbing one.

“Now all I need you to do is fill this paper out. While you do that, I will figure out which suite you will be put into” Dowling said, hearing this I grabbed the pen and paper and looked down at it.

The paper itself was pretty simple, with it going over the basics, like my name, age, birthplace, and a few more basic things. But there was one question that I can’t exactly answer properly. Knowing this, I began to speak in order to address the problem “Uh, what do I put for the fairy type? I’m quite certain that I am not a fairy, or at least not a normal one”

Hearing this Dowling looked up from her paper and replied “Ah, for that section, just put undetermined. There have been cases where students don’t know their fairy type until later, so that should be good enough” Hearing this I nodded, before filling out the rest of the paper.

After filling out the rest of the paper, I handed the paper back to Dowling, before she spoke “Now that you are done with that, I have decided the suite you will be put into. Follow me, I’ll bring you there myself, while also notifying the girls” Hearing this I nodded, inwardly smiling, knowing full well what suite I was about to be put into.

Walking through the halls with Dowling, I ignored the stares I was receiving due to my being next to the woman. “I must ask, Hope, when did you find out about your magic?” Dowling asked as we walked through the halls.

Hearing the question, I hummed and made up a lie “A few months ago. I got really angry with a game and I ended up setting the console on fire, before also putting it out with water” Hearing my lie, Dowling hummed in thought, before nodding. I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if she saw through the lie, but decided not to pursue it.

Continuing to walk, the two of us eventually made it to a door, before Dowling opened it, and the two of us entered the room. Upon entering, I immediately noticed a girl putting up vases with plants in them, I also noticed Bloom in her room, as well as Aisha, who both heard the door open and turned to us. The girl putting up the vases, turned at the sound of someone entering, only for her eyes to widen at the sight of us.

[Aisha]

“Oh! Uhm, hi Miss Dowling! Are we in trouble already? We haven’t done anything wrong, right? Unless I did do something wrong which means I could be-” Before the girl could continue on her little tangent, Dowling spoke.

[Terra]

“Not at all, Terra. Instead, I am here with some news” Dowling said, as the rest of the members of the suite walked out, upon noticing the headmistress herself was there, seemingly not noticing me yet. “What sort of news?” Stella asked as she stepped out from her room.

[Stella]

Dowling upon hearing this, spoke, while I stood behind her slightly while keeping silent. “Your suite will be receiving another member” Dowling said, before moving slightly, and motioning to me, before continuing “This is Hope Mikaelson, she will be joining the suite. She is new to magic, so I do hope you will all be kind to her” Dowling said, giving Stella in particular, a look.

“Is there enough space for her?” Terra asked. “There is a spare room, correct? She will simply take that one” Dowling said, motioning towards another room that wasn’t taken yet.

“Now, I must be going, and Hope, please do come to me if you have any issues in regards to your magic” Dowling said softly, before walking off. I watched her walk off for a few seconds, before turning awkwardly to the group of girls that were staring at me. Musa in particular was giving me a look, probably at the fact that she can’t, or shouldn’t, be able to sense my emotions.

[Musa]

“Well…I’m just gonna go and set up my room” I said awkwardly, as I walked off to my room. It was decently sized, already having a bed, desk, chair, and lamp as well.

Reaching into my bag, I took out the very little property I have, notably the pictures of my parents, which I put on my desk with a small smile. After that, I put away my clothes into the closet, and finally, I hid away my bag under my bed, but not before placing a small spell on it, that would alert me if it was touched by anyone other than me. The grimoires in there were rather dangerous, after all.

After finishing up my room, I sighed. ‘Perhaps I should claim some more powers? I guess five more should be fine’ I thought, before making sure my door was shut and locked, so no one could interrupt me during this.

[Magic Heart - Users possess a heart of magic. This enables them to possess special capabilities even if they are not practiced in the arts of magic themselves. In essence, it increases the user's magical power by a good bit, roughly 2x. Also improves the user's blood, making it even more magical in nature. Due to the user having two hearts, this increases the user's magical power by 4x and not 2x]

[Multi-Hit Strike - The user is able to launch a single attack that hits its target multiple times. This could be a blow that hits the target ten times despite only throwing one, or an attack that damages multiple separate opponents with a single stroke.

[Instructive Muscle Memory - The user can copy any/all movements/actions after indirect observation, including hearing, reading, etc. the instructions on how to do them. They can mimic things such as acrobatics, martial arts, dexterity-based tasks, and other physical stunts.

[Efficient Body - The user has bodily systems that are perfectly optimized and totally efficient, with absolutely no wasted energy or effort on their part. This allows the user to utilize his/her body's natural abilities as effectively and efficiently as naturally possible. Unlike Body Supremacy, however, users don't need to be aware of or control their bodily systems and physical condition as they are already as optimal and efficient as possible, beyond what can be emulated via natural training with no need of maintaining]

[Accelerated Assimilation - The user can eat, drink, inject themselves, inhale or otherwise absorb any substance and assimilate it into their bloodstream at an accelerated rate. Usually, it takes time for something to be assimilated into the bloodstream after consumption, but for users of this power, seconds become fractions of seconds, minutes become seconds, hours become minutes, etc]

‘Another good set of powers, especially the instructive muscle memory, and the efficient body’ I thought, before pain assaulted my form just as before. This time, however, it was not that painful. The pain was mainly centered around my heart, but even that wasn’t that bad, just annoying. This was probably because of my becoming a Tribrid, and the other powers I already had.

The pain only lasted for a few minutes before it ceased, and I felt better than ever. I could feel the massive increase in magic, as magical power literally radiated off of me, before quickly dissipating as I controlled it.

I could also feel other aspects of my being, working even better than before. My physical aspects especially, my senses increased even further, and I felt that my brain was processing and working faster than ever before. ‘Must be due to the efficient body’ I thought, as I stretched slightly, before summoning my status.

That’s the end of this chapter. The next chapter will come whenever, as this is a vault fic, so I basically just update whichever one I feel like updating.

Should I make separate collections for each of my vault fics? Or keep them in the vault section?
