[POV - 3rd] [Location - Mystic Falls]

After getting done getting ready, Bonnie walked out, wearing one of her more tomboyish sets of clothing.

In her past life, she had not cared about getting super fancy and taking hours to get ready. She preferred to wear tomboyish clothing, not that super girly garbage that she sees most others wear. Walking downstairs in the home she lived in, all by herself.

Grabbing a banana, she walked out the door to her car. Before groaning at realizing what type of car she had ‘Why does it have to be a damn Prius?!’ She thought with clear annoyance on her face.

Getting into the car, she sighed and leaned back, before starting the engine and beginning to drive off. After only a little bit, she had made it to where the fair was being held. It was pretty busy, and there were already all sorts of rides and carnival stuff set up.

Getting out of the car, she began to walk towards where Elena was. Elena, noticing Bonnie, blinked in surprise at her clothing “Bonnie, new clothes?” Bonnie hearing this, shrugged “I didn’t feel like dressing fancy today”

Elena smiled at her words, before Bonnie asked “So, what are you going to do about Kartherine? She looks exactly like you, it’s kinda…weird” Bonnie decided to keep a bit of canon in place in the beginning, only so that she could have certain things happen first before she could completely change everything. Like Kol dying, or Finn dying, or…well most of the crap that happened in the shows.

“She is my ancestor. Hey, I moved the student booth into the cafeteria” Elena responded, not really wanting to talk about Katherine at that moment.

Bonnie sighed “She’s your vampire ancestor, Elena. She pretty much was you. I understand that you don’t want to talk about it, but you can’t just push something like that off”

Elena hearing this, frowned slightly “I don’t know. I can’t explain it, okay? It’s creepy. It’s all I got. And I know that ignoring it probably isn’t the best idea, but I just want one day as regular old Elena”

“Well, okay then, regular old Elena. What do you need help with?” Bonnie said, deciding to drop the topic for now. So far, Elena didn’t seem that bad in this universe, she hoped she’d stay that way, but she wasn’t sure it would.

“For now I need to get these prizes to the ring toss. I also don’t want to talk about Damon, not right now” Elena said, causing Bonnie to chuckle “My lips are sealed, in regards to Damon at least” This got a smile out of Elena. Grabbing the prizes for the ring toss, Bonnie listened as Elena continued.

“I’m human. And I have to do human stuff. Otherwise, I’m gonna go crazy” Elena said, causing Bonnie to raise an eyebrow “On it, regular human, Elena” Bonnie said with a mock salute. Elena giggled at this.

“Now, let’s make Caroline proud, otherwise she will kill us” Elena said, still giggling slightly. Bonnie just softly smiled and walked after her, while ignoring the reward notification she had gotten. She would claim it later when she was alone.

After walking with Elena for a little while, helping her with setting up the carnival properly, the two went their separate ways, with Bonnie having to help set up and finish certain rides and attractions.

After a couple of hours of doing this, she finally had time to breathe. Walking into the bathroom where nobody was, she walked into a stall and cast a scourgify, cleaning the stall before sighing. ‘System, use the UCT I got from the quest’

‘Damn that’s pretty good. And yes, assimilate him’ Bonnie thought, before gritting her teeth in pain as memories began to flood in. Far more than what she got from Snape. It was almost overwhelming, if not for her naturally resistant mind, and her occlumency coming into play.

As the memories began to be assimilated and processed, Bonnie grit her teeth, trying not to let out a scream at the pain. Slowly, the pain began to cease, being replaced with a dull ache. ‘That sucked!’ Bonnie thought, as she finally stopped getting memories, after over 5 minutes.

The memories from the man were helpful to say the least. Not to mention that her magic, occlumency, and other areas had also been strengthened by quite a bit. Sadly, Dumbledore wasn’t that strong in a world like this one, But he still had some helpful, and useful spells.

‘Not bad. Getting Fate: Winx Saga isn’t bad either. Would have preferred something a bit stronger, but it could have been worse, I guess’ Bonnie thought with a shrug, before slowly getting up and walking out of the stall, with new power at her fingertips.

[Later]

Hours had passed since she had assimilated her newest character, and currently she was helping out around the Carnival. She had already talked with Elena, who had tried to set her up with a guy, but she had kindly refused the man, instead fixing the karaoke machine’s with him.

Eventually she had ran into Matt, who was currently talking with her.

“She’s obviously pissed at me for something, but for what, no clue” Matt began. Bonnie blinked at this and asked “What happened?” Already knowing the answer to that particular question.

“She freaked out and she’s been like that all day. Cool one minute and crazy and neurotic the next” Matt replied, causing Bonnie to respond “She did almost die, that tends to mess with your head. Plus…she is Caroline”

“Yeah. I’m used to the insecurities and all that, you know. That’s who she is, love it or hate it. But this seemed, I don’t know…different…more. I-I can’t explain it” Hearing the worry in his voice, Bonnie inwardly sighed, knowing that Caroline was still turned into a vampire in this universe.

Walking off after talking with Matt some more, Bonnie had eventually walked and found Caroline with Elena and Stefan. Caroline had blood on her face, from the man she had just fed from, the same one that had been trying (and failing) to hit on Bonnie.

“Caroline?” Bonnie softly said, not having any desire to alienate the poor girl. Noticing her arrival, the three turned to her in surprise, with Caroline having a face full of fear, realizing that her best friend is going to hate her now.

“I-I’m sorry, I-I didn’t-” Bonnie just softly spoke “It’s alright, Care. Let’s go get you cleaned up, alright?” Softly Bonnie wrapped her right arm around Caroline, and began to lead her to the bathroom to get cleaned up, while giving Stefan and Elena a glance.

Walking the distraught teen into the bathroom, Bonnie grabbed paper towels and began to wet them. While Caroline began to softly cry “I-I’m s-sorry, please don’t h-hate me” Caroline sniffled out, as Bonnie just softly dabbed the wet paper towel on Caroline’s face, wiping off the blood the best she could.

“I don’t hate you, Care. I know you didn’t do it on purpose” Bonnie softly said, wiping off more of the blood staining Caroline’s face.

“And what about Matt? What am I going to do about Matt?” Caroline whimpered out, as panic began to settle in. Noticing the panic attack beginning, Bonnie just softly calmed the girl “One thing at a time, let’s get this cleaned off first, alright?”

Caroline sniffled as she grabbed the paper towel and began to wipe off her hands while saying “I’m a murderer, and I’m a monster” Caroline sniffled out, causing Bonnie to shake her head, while wiping Caroline’s cheeks.

“Your emotions are heightened, Care. It’s a part of the transformation, and is completely normal” Bonnie said, wiping off her cheeks thoroughly. While noticing that she was beginning to vamp out.

“Ahh! Why does this keep happening to my face?” Caroline cried out, noticing her face, before turning and covering her face with her hands. “I’m, they’re hideous”

“Care, look at me. Caroline, look at me!” Bonnie said, trying to get Caroline’s attention in order to calm her down, just as Stefan did in the show.

“Calm down, okay? When you feel the bloodrush in you tell yourself that you’re gonna get through it that you’re strong enough” Caroline shook her head at this “Yes. Yes. No matter how good it feels to give yourself over to it you fight it off, you bury it. Just look at me, okay? That’s the only way you are going to survive this thing” Bonnie said, trying her best to calm her friend.

Sniffling more, Bonnie continued “Try it. Shh” Bonnie said, before calming her soft cries “Try it” Bonnie said, holding Caroline’s cheeks, as the girl began to take in deep breaths of air, as her sniffles slowly began to calm.

“There you go. That’s good, good girl” Bonnie softly said, ignoring the fact that she just called Caroline a good girl towards the end. While Caroline didn’t seem to notice it…probably.

As her sniffles and cries finally stopped, Caroline couldn’t help but softly ask “Why did Katherine do this to me?”

“I don’t know. I wish I did. But I promise, I will not let anything happen to you” Bonnie softly, said, before pulling the girl into a hug “come here” Caroline, while taller, still hugged and snuggled into Bonnie’s warmth.

“Let’s get you home, alright?” Bonnie softly, said, causing Caroline to nod, but not take her head out of Bonnie’s neck. Holding her for a little longer, Bonnie then took the girl home, before returning to her own home.

Sitting on her sofa, having cleaned the blood off of herself, she sighed. ‘That was…traumatizing’ Bonnie thought, as she flicked her wrist and wordlessly summoned a water to her.

‘Now, let’s read up on daylight rings, shall we?’

This chapter was a bit harder to write, but stll fun nonetheless. I might make Caroline one of Bonnie’s love interests, as she is kinda adorable tbh. Idk though, we’ll see. As writing that might be hard.
