Chapter 20 [Vault]

Title - The King of Monsters | Chapter 1

The sounds of leaves rustling, soft trickling of water, swaying of tree branches, and chirping of birds, filled the normal silence of an unusual cave. This cave was unusual only due to the fact that a borderline nude woman lay upon its stone floors. She looked as if she had been encased in something, as remnants of a stone casing surrounded her. She was a rather tall, muscular woman with Blonde hair and slightly pale skin.

Softly groaning, the woman began to open her eyes slowly. Blinking, the woman took in her surroundings with a look of confusion making its way onto her face. ‘Where….where am I?’

Getting up, the woman looked around. The first thing she noticed was that she was in a rather large cave, the second was that she could see and feel much more than she ever had. She could smell things she never could before, and she could see farther than she ever could in her previous life. She also had this uncomfortable feeling, as if she was being constricted, as well as if something was being limited or weakened.

Looking over her form, she realized that she didn’t have much clothing on, causing her to growl out in annoyance. ‘Looks like whoever dropped me here decided to strip me of all my clothing as well’

Walking through the cave, the woman’s annoyance worsened by the second. She also noticed that her knowledge of her previous life was seemingly missing in some areas. Her name, her family, and all of the more important memories were missing. She only remembered things like her education, knowledge of fictional universes, and a few more things.

The more she thought, the more she remembered. The fact that she was a lesbian woman who had little luck in the dating department. She doesn’t remember how she died, but she remembers that she did. The more she thought over her current situation, the more she realized that she may or may not be in a rather interesting place.

‘It seems I am in one of those fanfic situations…if it’s anything like what I know, then I need to say…’ “System?”

Seeing this the woman raised an eyebrow. ‘Seems that my system is rather simple in design. Doesn’t seem to have one of those annoying, and talkative A.I’s. I suppose it’ll just be this status and quests?’ thought the woman.

‘The fact that my species, age, name, location, and universe are unknown, is further making me believe I am in one of those fanfiction situations’ thought the woman, as she began to walk further into the cave while seeing that a source of light began to become noticeable.

‘If I am right, then this quest of mine should be rather simple’

‘Hmm, seems simple enough. If I have to guess I am in a fictional universe, probably one I have at least a bit of knowledge of. Considering I am most knowledgeable of MCU, Godzilla, and less so TVD, it is probably one of them. I’d go with either MCU or TVD in the end, I’d certainly prefer TVD, but it is more than likely MCU’ though the blonde-haired woman. She was smart enough to know that she was in a universe that she had at least a little bit of knowledge of. More than likely one of her favorites from her previous life.

She didn’t have many fictional universes that she loved, but those three were at the top. While her knowledge of TVD was subpar, she still adored the universe and characters. It was also far weaker than the other two universes, and much less dangerous. She had watched a lot of different movies and shows, being a very lonely, depressed woman with no friends, while also being incredibly wealthy due to inheritance, gave her a lot of money to watch and do what she wanted.

Continuing her walk she noticed that the farther she walked the more she could feel a breeze, making her understand that she was close to getting out of this cave. She also took the time to look over her new form, she noticed that she was tall, like 6’2 or 6’3. She also noticed that she had a rather noticeable set of abs, in the form of a six-pack.

Stopping her inspection of her body, she noticed that the cold air was becoming more and more evident. After only another minute of walking, she walked around a corner and found the cave’s exit/entrance.

Walking out of the cave she took a deep breath, immediately she smelt the scent of the surrounding trees, the scent of mud, the sheer strength of them caught her off guard, but she quickly adapted to the new sensations. As she stepped out of the cave she noticed that she was in a rather large forest, she also noticed that while snow lathered the ground, she didn’t feel cold whatsoever.

‘Definitely not human. The fact that it is seemingly so cold outside, means that I am either an enhanced human or a completely different speci-’ The woman was cut off from her thoughts as she heard a sharp growl from her left.

Turning to her left, she watched as a pack of wolves stalked towards her. Seeing them she growled back, an otherworldly instinct filling her as she let out a dark snarl from her lips. The wolves felt every inch of their bodies freeze in fear, as they let out soft whimpers at the seemingly human being. Watching the wolves run off, the woman huffed in annoyance ‘Annoying mutts’

‘Seeing as I felt the instinct to do all of…that, and the fact that they ran off after that, I am definitely a creature related to animals, or perhaps monsters? Hopefully something cool, like a Kaiju, preferably Ghidorah’

‘Well, that was easier than I thought. Seeing as my species is what it is, then I must be based on the GMK Ghidorah. Now I just need to figure out my universe, and location’ The woman, now known as Ghidorah thought.

Continuing to walk, Ghidorah made her way through the forest, in hopes of finding her way out of the forest, and into a city or something of the sort. While she continued to walk through the forest, Ghidorah began to think about where it is she could be.

‘Seeing as it’s so cold out, enough that there is all of this snow, as well as the wolves, I am probably in North America. There’s a few places that would suit this type of landscape, but Alaska is probably the most likely. And given that I have the powers of Ghidorah, who is from a Godzilla movie, I am probably either in Godzilla or the MCU. More than likely the MCU if I am starting out with so much power. As while it seems like a lot, someone like Hulk or Thor would probably beat me’ Ghidorah thought, before stopping as her status appeared in front of her, alongside an additional notification

These tickets are difficult to gain due to the power gained from a singular usage of this ticket. This initial ticket was only this easy to gain due to it being the starter one. ‘It just had to be gacha based’ Ghidorah thought with an annoyed growl escaping her lips. The fact that she was currently in MCU, a year before the events of Avengers, didn’t escape her thoughts.

‘2011…not the worst year to start in, I suppose. I would have preferred to start earlier, like 2008 or so, but I guess this is fine. Would be for the best to consume that ticket sooner rather than later’ Ghidorah thought, before pressing on [Y].

Ghidorah stopped walking at this, the fact that she got the very first Godzilla as her first kaiju ticket reward, was both a good thing and a bad thing. It was good due to the power it would give her, as it was far from the worst ones. But it was also bad due to there being far stronger/better Godzilla’s out there that she would have preferred over this one.

‘It could be worse I guess, I could have gotten minizilla’ Ghidorah thought with a sigh, Minizilla was one of the worst possible kaiju’s she could get, from the Godzilla verse at least.

Finishing her thoughts, she lifted her finger and pressed [Y]. She regretted this almost instantly as she dropped to the floor in pain. She hadn’t experienced anything like this before, even with the little amount of memories she had in regard to her previous life. Her bones snapped and broke, and every cell in her body began to mutate and change.

She was forced to kneel there, waiting for the pain to cease, for what felt like forever. In reality, it had only lasted ten minutes or so. When she was finally able to stand, and the pain ceased, she felt new power flow through her. She could see farther, hear more, and feel even more.

Opening up her status, Ghidorah let out a wide grin as she looked it over.

‘This should be enough for now. At least for Avengers. I am assuming that the system will want me to take part in those events, with some sort of quest, so I guess it’ll be best to make a fake identity or something of the sort’ Ghidorah thought.

Walking through the forest, Ghidorah continued to think ‘Making a false identity will be next to impossible, though. Especially in Alaska of all places. I guess it would be better to just live here in peace, as from what I know, Alaskan’s tend not to butt into each others business’

Eventually, Ghidorah had walked long enough, and was now face to face with a what looked to be a small town.

‘Let’s meet the local folk’

That’s the end of the chapter. Next chapter will have a timeskip, as not a lot will happen until the Avengers takes place. She’s fairly overpowered, but even someone like Thor should be able to defeat her, not without a lot of difficulty of course.

Love interest is probably going to be Wanda Maximoff and maybe someone else too, we’ll see.
