It was the next day after Flare’s initial transmigration into the new universe, and most of her time was spent killing Grimm, and traveling through the forest. She ended up leveling up another 5 times, to level 10. She also got her [Fire Bolt] to level 20, her [Fire Ball] to level 17, her [Flame Wall] to level 10, and her [Fire Absorption] to level 15, furthering her mana regeneration by another 180.

Her INT and WIS had both passed the 300 mark, granting her two neat perks, this being.

[Increase Mana Capacity | Max] [Passive]

Increases maximum mana by 50%, additionally, all magic attacks deal an extra 10% damage and have 10% greater effect.

[Mana Regeneration | Max] [Passive]

Cuts the time to regenerate mana, in half. Meaning it is now every 30 seconds, instead of every minute

She hadn’t developed any more skills during this time, as she primarily focused on her already existing skills. She hadn’t gotten rid of the frail perk just yet, as she was waiting to get to a town beforehand.

She had no idea where she was, but if the system was telling the truth, then she was near Patch. Not exactly an area she wanted to start, but she guessed it could have been a lot worse. The strongest grimm she had fought in this place, was an Ursa, and that wasn’t all that difficult, funnily enough. She guessed it was due to her insane magical power, sort of carrying her.

Thanks to her Health for Me perk, her HP had begun to drastically increase at a rapid pace, increasing her HP to over 3,000, as the Ursa had a lot more health than the Beowulf’s, over ten times the amount, at the most.

Currently, Flare was walking through the forest, munching on some chips, courtesy of her infinite bag of hot Cheetos. Every time a Grimm got close, she obliterated them via a single fire bolt, aka her favorite spell.

She stopped as her senses flared, she could sense someone on her right.

[Vibrational Sense | 1/50] (Passive)

Sense the vibrations of the surroundings, in a similar way to a certain Earthbender. The higher the level, the larger the radius.

Blinking off the skill, she used her newfound vibration sense and saw a sort of figure past the tree line in front of her. They were shorter than her, by a couple of inches at least. Noticing the figure, she slowly crept forward, ignoring the new notification.

You are adept at hiding, while trying to hide, you are 1% more likely to go unnoticed.

‘Neat’ She thought, before continuing to creep forward, crossing the tree line, giving her a good look at the girl crouching there. ‘Is that?’ Flare blinked in surprise, as a black with red tipped haired girl was crouched in front of what looked to be a tombstone.

‘Ruby…she’s…so…adorable!’ Flare thought, inwardly cooing at the adorable girl. But blinked as she watched the tears softly streak down her cheeks.

“Sorry it’s been so long mom” Ruby softly said to the tombstone “Signal’s been taking up my time” She said with a smile, as she sat in front of her mother's tombstone. “Yang’s been good too, she’s still got a bunch of friends, while I have…well, that doesn’t matter” Ruby said with a small smile.

Flare kept silent as she watched Ruby speak to her mother, before realizing that she shouldn’t be listening to this (even if she couldn’t hear what she was saying), causing her to turn to leave, only for a soft *crack* to sound out. Flare blinked as she looked down at the branch she stepped on, having felt it, and inwardly cursed her inability to hear.

“Who’s there?!” Ruby yelled out, after hearing the loud crack. Turning, Flare inwardly sighed, having read the girls lips.

Walking out of her little hiding spot, she had her hands up. Ruby noticing the individual coming out, lowered her weapon slightly, while asking “who are you?” She asked, while totally not checking out Flare’s noticeable abs. Ruby also noted Flare’s red hair, and gorgeous appearance.

Seeing the words escape Ruby’s lips, Flare pointed to her neck shook her head, and then did the same with her ears. Ruby blinked in confusion at the motion, before her eyes widened in realization. “Oh, you’re mute and deaf! I’m so sorry” Ruby said with a blush of embarrassment.

“Oh wait, you can’t hear me, can you? Um, oh, here!” Ruby said, as she reached into her pocket and took out a scroll, before handing it to Flare.

Seeing the scroll in her hand, Flare blinked before typing on it. The words read out [I’m Flare. I’m deaf and mute, so I’m sorry that I couldn’t properly talk to you. I didn’t mean to intrude on you and your mother, I was just trying to find the nearest town]

“Oh, it’s okay! And um, are you lost?” Ruby asked, seeing that Flare could read her lips. [I am. But I think I could find a town soon]

Ruby frowned as she read that, as the nearest town was not close, and there was a lot of grimm nearby. Thinking for a few more moments, Ruby spoke “Why don’t you stay with me, my dad, and my sister? I’m sure they wouldn’t mind!”

[I wouldn’t want to intrude. You don’t know me at all, it would be rude of me]

“It’s okay! I think my mom would do the same!” Ruby said with a cute smile, that Flare took in, as she felt her heart melt at the adorable girl. ‘Cursed weakness to adorable girls’

[...Fine, but if your dad and sister aren’t okay with me being there, then I will leave, even if you try to stop me]

“Hmm, okay!” Ruby said with a smile, as she reached her hand out, and took Flare’s in her own. “Come on!” She said as she began to lead Flare to her home.

After following after the Silver Eyed girl for a while, the two eventually came to a decent sized cabin.

“I’m home! And I have a guest!” Ruby said as she and Flare walked into the home. One of the first things that Flare noted was the walls that had family photo’s all over them, primarily of what looked to be an older version of Ruby ‘That must be Summer…I wonder if she’s alive or not?’

A Silver-Eyed Mother

Details - Find and save Summer Rose, bringing her back to her beloved daughters.

Rewards - 1 million XP, 5 Gacha tickets, and ?????? Perk.

‘Well that confirms that…’ Flare thought, before deciding to use observe on Ruby, having not done that yet.

‘How the hell do I have more HP than Ruby, and I’m only level 10?’

Non gamers do not have the ability to use stat points, and do not get as much as the user does, with their stats. Should she unlock her Silver Eyes, her HP may increase.

‘That’s good to know’ Flare thought before the two walked into the kitchen area, where a blonde-haired man was. “Ruby, who is this?” The man that Flare assumed to be Tai, asked.

Tai Xiao Long

‘Still less impressive than I was expecting…meaning this is definitely a starter world, and is not meant to be powerful or anything’ Flare thought, looking at Tai’s frankly disappointing stats.

“This is Flare. She was in the forest and doesn’t have anywhere to stay, so I thought we could help her? Oh! And she’s mute and deaf!” Ruby added at the end, realizing that that information was kind of important.

“Ruby, you can’t just bring a stranger into our home” Tai said with a sigh, as he pinced the bridge of his nose.

“Ah, well…she needed help! She doesn’t have anywhere to stay! And, she seems super nice too!” Ruby said, before continuing “Pleeeeease dad, IpromiseI’lltakecareofheryouwon’tevennoticethatshe’shereit’llbelikenoo-” Ruby began to ramble, far too fast for Flare to understand, and she doubted Tai did either.

“...Fine. But! If she causes problems, it’s your responsibility…and she’s not a pet, so let’s stop talking about her like one” Tai said with a sweatdrop, realizing how bad what he was saying, sounded.

“Thank you thank you thank you! You’re the best dad ever!” Ruby said hugging Tai with a wide smile. Flare was inwardly confused as hell as to why Ruby was seemingly so fond of her.

[It’s nice to meet you, Mister Xiao Long. I’m Flare Fiammetta. Thank you for allowing me to stay here] Flare typed out, as she bowed.

The man smiled before signing to her “It’s fine. And please, just call me Tai” Tai signed while also speaking.

Flare smiled before nodding. “How come you were in the forest in the first place?” Tai signed, as he looked at her.

[I don’t have a home, so I just live in forests. The grimm can be annoying, but they aren’t too hard to take care of, even if they really hate me for some reason]

Tai reading this, frowned, not liking the fact that a girl seemingly the age of Yang, was homeless. Before he could reply, but the front door flew open, as a voice called out “I’m home!”

“Yang!” Ruby said happily, as she sped over and gave her older sister a hug. “Hey Rubes…who’s the abs-filled friend?” Yang asked as she grinned at the sight of Flare’s noticeable abs.

“Oh” Ruby started, before speeding to Flare’s side and placing a hand on her shoulder “This is Flare Fiammetta! She’s…a new friend! I thought she could stay with us, since she doesn’t have a home to stay at!”

Yang blinked, before looking to her father, who just shrugged in defeat. “...fine by me” Yang said with a shrug, before walking to Flare, and reaching a handout, which Flare shook “Nice to meet you! I’m Yang, Ruby’s older sister. Hurt her and I’ll break your arms” Yang said with a smile.

Flare’s lips twitched, before typing out [Nice to meet you, Yang. I’m Flare]

“Uhm, Rubes, is she…?” Yang trailed off, beginning to realize why Ruby wanted to take the girl in. “She’s deaf and mute” Tai said, giving his eldest daughter a look, which basically said “be nice”

“How’d you become deaf and mute?” Yang asked “”Yang!”” Ruby and Tai yelled as that was a pretty rude question.

[Don’t know. I don’t remember most of my childhood] Flare typed out, before shrugging. “Sorry” Yang said with a flinch, realizing how bad her question was, now that they pointed it out.

[Eh, it’s fine. I’ve sort of gotten used to being the mute deaf girl. Plus, most people are dumb enough to not realize that when they’re insulting me, I can’t even hear the insults. So…it’s kind of peaceful] Flare said with a smile, which Ruby smiled at, while Yang chuckled.

“Is she taking the guest room?” Yang asked, causing Tai to nod “It’s already all made, so it should be fine”

“Hmmm, since you lived in the forests, does that mean you have killed grimm? That means you have your aura unlocked, right?” Yang asked.

[I’ve killed some grimm, mostly Beowulf’s and Ursa’s. And no, I don’t have my aura unlocked]

“Wait, you mean you’ve fought and killed Grimm without aura?” Yang asked in shock, as killing Grimm without aura, was next to impossible, due to the sheer danger.

Flare simply nodded at the question, causing even Tai to look at her in disbelief. “That means you’re super strong, right?” Ruby asked with a tilt of her head.

[So so. Your sister would probably beat me up] Flare said with a shrug, as she knew she probably wouldn’t be able to defeat the girl, after seeing her stats.

Yang Xiao Long

Level - 28

HP - 2,650

AP - 5,900

“That’s still impressive, Flare. You haven’t had any real training, and yet you’re that strong, and you don’t have aura” Tai said, genuinely impressed by the girl. There wasn’t many with that sort of ability.

Flare just looked away at the praise, embarrassed.

“So…wanna see your new room?”
