Chapter 33 [Vault]

Title - The Mighty

I died. I don’t know how, why, or even when, but I did. One moment I was relaxing in my living room, sipping some Starbucks while watching Supergirl, and the next I was here, in a never-ending void filled with nothing but me myself, and I.

Dying wasn’t exactly on my bucket list, but I guess I could have gone out in worse ways. This “hell” or whatever it is, also isn’t that bad either. It was quiet, but a nice kind of quiet, almost calming in a weird way.

My life wasn’t all that special or interesting, not even remotely. I was a lesbian woman who had a deep love of all things fictional. I was fairly wealthy due to an inheritance left to me by my dead parents, so I didn’t really need to work for a living, I was able to just do whatever I wanted.

I was quite fond of Supergirl and Arrowverse more than most others, not as much as the MCU though.

Seeing as I am here now, I guess it’d be best to just chill and wait until something happens. I’ve read fanfic, and know that there is the possibility of some Omnipotent God showing up, sooner or later at least.

“You would be correct”

A booming voice caused me to jump and look in the direction it came from. Standing (?) there was a large glowing finger, seemingly genderless in appearance, and quite literally glowing with power.

“You, as you have guessed, have died. Normally you would enter the reincarnation cycle like the rest. This time, however, I’ve decided to do something new. You shall reincarnate into a world of your choosing and as a gender of your choosing. I’ve already chosen your powers and abilities, which I am certain you will like. Now, choose quickly, I am rather busy”

…Well I can’t say I was entirely expecting that, also, they’re rushing me quite a bit, aren’t they? I guess it’d be best to do this quickly.

“Supergirl, the one that’s a part of the Arrowverse. And Female, duh” I answered, I didn’t want to change my gender or anything, I’ve been a woman since birth, I have no reason to change that now.

“Thank you for doing this quickly. Since you’ve been much more accepting and fast than I was expecting, I’ll throw in another reward. Until we meet again…Maeve Marvel Odinsdottir”

Wait what? My name didn’t have either of those be-

[3rd POV]

After the Random Omnipotent Being spoke those words, and the woman realized she definitely didn’t have the same last name, she disappeared with a small flash of light. The void going infinitely dark once again.

[Location - ?????????]

Within an old dark alley, a slightly tall, dark brown haired, toned, beautiful woman laid. She had a long coat on, and was laid against the wall, eyes closed tightly, sleeping.

Slowly, the attractive woman’s eyes began to flutter open, a soft groan of annoyance escaping her lips. ‘Whe-...so it wasn’t a dream’ The woman thought, as she realized where she was. She slowly got to her feet, stretching.

Blinking in surprise, she felt strength within herself that she had never felt before, not only that, but she could almost instinctively feel the instinct and power engrained into her new form.

Looking to her side, her eyes widened as she found two different items sitting there, glowing and rumbling with immense power.

‘...Mjolnir and Stormbreaker? Is that the gift that ROB gave me?!’ Maeve thought in shock, surprised as she looked to the two items, both filled with immense power, just ready to be wielded. She could feel that there was more than just these two, as if whatever else there is, is simply waiting to be summoned…from somewhere.

Slowly, Maeve walked over, before gripping the handle of Mjolnir. Breathing in deeply, she gripped the god hammer, before lifting. Her eyes widened in surprise as it lifted off the ground, as if it didn’t weigh a single pound.

‘I’m worthy?’ She thought in surprise. She wasn’t really the best person in the world, so she didn’t expect such a thing.

Gripping the hammer in her hands, she stretched slightly as she felt the power within her hands. Lightning sparkled off the hammer. “Well, I can’t say I was expecting this, but I’m glad to have you, Mjolnir, Stormbreaker” Maeve said with a smile, as she reached over and picked up Stormbreaker, once again lifting it with ease.

They both practically hummed in her hands, as if happy to be held by her. ‘They aren’t very inconspicuous though…’

The second she thought this, they both glowed. Mjolnir transformed into a cane of some sort, while Stormbreaker was a pen.

‘Ah, Mjolnir did have that ability, didn’t it? I guess it makes sense Stormbreaker has it too’ Maeve thought with a smile, gripping the cane in her hands.

‘Since I have these, then I must be on Earth 38 with Supergirl and all of the rest of them’ Maeve thought with an almost excited smile.

Maeve blinked when she felt something in her pocket, as she tried to put the pen form of Stormbreaker inside. Bringing the object out, it was a note.

“Now that you have successfully transmigrated, I decided it was best to leave this note to inform you of your powers, and what you can receive in the future.

You currently have the powers of Thor from the MCU, Shazam from the DCEU, and All Might from the My Hero Academia Universe. This comes with all the powers they naturally have, as well as

(in Thor's case) some of their objects. All Might does not come with the other quirks within OFA, nor does it come with the vestiges, but, in return, it is 2x stronger in pure firepower.

None of these powers can be sealed, blocked, absorbed, or anything like that, nor can they be copied, not permanently at least.

You will receive 3 more characters powers per season, with there being a certain limit on the power of the characters, so as to not threaten the safety of your soul.

You have an ID in this world, and are a legal citizen, but you are effectively homeless. It is up to you to fix that little problem. You are also 1 month before the first season of Supergirl, meaning Kara has yet to begin her journey as Supergirl.

Use these powers well, Maeve, and I truly do hope you enjoy your new life.

“Well…that’’s not entirely what I expected” Maeve muttered in surprise, before blinking as she felt memories flood in. Unlike what she was expecting, they weren’t painful, not in the least.

‘Probably because of me being a God, well, sort of at least’ Maeve thought, as memories continued to flood into her brain. Almost all of which was actually super helpful, like Thor’s knowledge on combat.

As the pain ceased, Maeve hummed with a small smile, before looking around.

“Now, what do I do now?”

Another vault fic! Hope y’all liked this one. Love interest should be obvious, considering there’s a rather adorable hero that is just too cute for Maeve to ignore.

Another vault fic will be uploaded soon, this time being on a certain Savior and her little and rather evil, Queen. A second fic on that universe is also being thought up, and will be uploaded either before or after that one. I’ve got a bunch of ideas swirling in my mind right now, so there might be an uptake in vault fics. Some on Anime, some on cartoons, some live action, and some on the universes y’all have already seen.

Both my main fics will be uploaded later, potentially double uploads soon.
