Chapter 73

[BEGINNING FIRST REGENERATION]

The system notification all but boomed out. Talia’s still downed form, glowing with power. Clary and Hope were still fighting off the Circle members, even if they seemed to never stop coming. While Valentine was staying far away from the latter, trying to find the perfect moment to summon the angel, and get the wish he wants.

Hope had tears of rage and sadness trickling down her face, as she zoomed around the battlefield, slaying every single Circle member she could, in hopes of getting closer to Valentine and Jace. The latter was sticking close to Valentine, knowing that he had just betrayed the Clave, and Talia.

His jealousness over the looks Clary was giving Talia, his rage over Clary ignoring him, and his possessiveness, all overtook him, leading to his betrayal of the Clave, and Clary.

The girl in question was slicing apart as many Circle members as she could, while trying to find a reason as to why Jace would betray them in such a way. The only reason she could find, was her. She knew that Jace had feelings for her, just as she knew he was jealous of Talia. She didn’t feel the same way, obviously, thus, his betrayal. That’s what Clary thinks at least.

“You two are fighting quite admirably” Valentine commented, watching the two fight off his soldiers. The initial numbers of over 150, had fallen to just around 100. The fact that so many were dying, was worrying, yes. But, he knew it was only a matter of time before the two of them got exhausted. Of course, normally Hope would have, but she’s a vampire, a bit of an exception to the rules.

While ripping through the nearest Circle member, Hope growled out “I will kill you, Jace! Just like I’ll kill the bastard that you saved!”

Hope lunged at the nearest member, ripping her throat out with ease. While Clary was literally cutting heads off of people, her sights also set on Jace, her own form of rage filling her. ‘How dare this bastard!’ Clary inwardly roared, enraged at the betrayal from someone she thought of as a friend.

“You can’t fight me, Clary. We both know it, you aren’t skilled enough. And even if you were, there’s too many Circle members for you to defeat” Jace said with a sigh. “It’d be best to just give up, at least then, you’ll be alive…probably”

“Never! I’d never submit to a piece of shit like you!” Clary yelled out, slamming her blade through the heart of another Circle member, soft pants of exhaustion escaping her lips.

Fighting for so long, against so many skilled opponents, wore down on her stamina, even while being a Shadowhunter. Hope on the otherhand, wasn’t winded in the slightest, and was still ripping and tearing.

Clary was forced to dodge blow after blow, as she fought the best she could, against the legions of Circle members.

Not a single person noticed the golden glow that began to form around Talia at a heightened pace, getting bigger and bigger.

[Back with Talia]

‘...I died again, didn’t I?’ Talia softly thought, as she was within her own mental space. A sigh escaping her at the realization.

[It is not permanent, host. You are already beginning the awakening process. Would you like to view your birth species? And then truly begin your first regeneration?]

‘Regeneration? As in…how? I mean, I guess it did say I have the possibility to be reborn into a random species. And while it said primarily from the TVD universe, it didn’t say it was limited to that universe. And the death must of been a catalyst to unlock the species’ Talia thought in realization.

‘Show me, system’

[HIDDEN SPECIES - …TIME LORD…AWAKENED]

[Timelord - An ancient, and powerful species of the Doctor Who universe. Said character, is also considered to be a part of that species…sort of. This grants the host two hearts, immensely improved intellectual capabilities, overall increased parameters to every physical ability, primarily the senses. Also grants the user their regeneration. Usually there is a limit to the amount of times you may regenerate, but this is offset due to the system, allowing you to regenerate infinitely. Everytime the user regenerates, all their capabilities are improved by 50%, while their appearance may or may not change (Note: The user will not change gender). Should the user train sufficiently, and understand more about themselves, they may even be able to manipulate the time energies that allows the user to regenerate in the first place.

The user now has a sort of time and spatial related senses, allowing them to sense, see, move, etc, and more related to space and time. This allows the user to notice distortions in space and time, retain perception of local time flow, directly perceive the interstellar motions of cosmological bodies or their inhabitants including sensing the "shape" of the world to the extent that they were aware when trapped in pocket dimensions

This regeneration even works on the users very soul. All time based powers, abilities, spells, etc, are strengthened by 5x, grows by another 1x every single regeneration. The users connection to their Tardis is strengthened, as is their connection to their mates.

Improves the users resilience to cold weather, radiation, electricity, disintegration, and many many more forms of attack, weather, temperature, etc.

The species as a whole, has massively improved bodies in comparison to humans]

‘...well damn’

[Hosts body is already ungeroing the awakening and regeneration. This regeneration can be put on pause until the host is ready, if they wish. But, it must happen within the next 10 minutes, otherwise the hosts soul can be permanently harmed]

‘Will it harm them, Clary and Hope?’ Talia asked, worried that the energy that was probably pouring off of her by now, would harm them.

[Negative. The hosts mates are protected against the hosts time energy from their regeneration]

[Would host like to awaken, and formally begin their regeneration, or wait?]

‘...Wake me up, and begin the regeneration, system’ Talia thought, breathing in deeply at what was going to happen now.

[WAKING HOST…BEGINNING FIRST REGENERATION!]

[Back with Clary and Hope]

“This *pant* never *pant* ends” Clary panted out, cuts littering her arms, as she continued to fight to the best of her abilities. The exhaustion was really catching up to her now, now that she had been injured so many times, and was forced to keep fighting like this, at such a pace.

Hope on the other hand, was still fighting the Circle members. The numbers had dwindled drastically, but there was still a lot left “I won’t stop, not until all of you bastards are dead!” Hope said with growl, ripping the blade that was puncturing her hip, out. She didn’t even wince at the pain, as she cast a spell, burning a nearby Circle member alive.

“It’s not use, no matter how hard you try, you won’t be able to stop me. Not without your little girlfriend” Valentine said with a laugh, “knowing” that he had won this fight.

Hope didn’t respond however, as her eyes widened, before a wide smile formed on her face.

Slowly, the sky began to rumble, the ground began to shake, the wind began to whirl faster and faster, and the rocks began to float. A golden glow began to beam from a certain area, causing Valentine to turn, as horror settled in.

Standing there, was a brightly glowing Talia, as time energy coursed from her very being, alongside magic and aura. “Well, this is quite nice” Her voice rumbled softly, as she noticed the hole still in her chest.

‘Looks like I need to undergo my regeneration for the heart-hearts, to reform’ Talia thought, before breathing in deeply, giving Hope a soft smile.

“Everything will be alright, Love” Talia said, knowing Hope could hear her. It seemed even Clary could, if the tears welling up were any indicator. She was still fighting the members around her, but they were distracted, giving her the perfect opportunity to wipe them out.

Talia slowly looked to Valentine, before grinning “What was it he would always say?...”

“Oh yeah…”

“Geronimo!”

1 - Should Talia regenerate, getting a new appearance like any normal Time lord?

2 - Talia stays as she is, not changing her appearance.

Personally, I am more inclined to go with the first one, as I already have an appearance in mind. One that definitely suits her, and would be fun to mess around with in the future.
