Chapter 35 [Vault]

I’ve died. I’m not entirely sure how, but I have. One moment I was watching Vampire Diaries while looking over my research paper of one of my students, and the next I was here.

I like to think of myself as an intelligent individual, getting a PhD in History, Folklore, Social Science, and a Doctorate in Modern Languages as well as teaching. Why so many degrees? I was bored, had the money, and enjoyed the topics in which I learned.

I had all 5 of these degrees by the time I turned 25, through a LOT of work, practice, and money, a lot of money. Being the inheritor of a wealthy family that founded a global banking group would do that.

Besides my intelligence which I was quite proud of, I also had a deep love of all things fictional. Whenever I had off time, it was more than likely I would be sitting on my couch, sipping on some coffee and watching a show or movie.

Being lesbian might have attributed to my love of fiction, but very little.

I had died watching one of these fictional works I adored so much, even if it did get quite bad towards the end.

Now I am here, in a neverending void of absolutely nothing. Not quite my ideal hell, but I suppose it could be a lot worse than the alternative.

[Spin the wheel]

…Well, it looks like I am in one of those fanfic-esque situations. There isn’t much other option than to spin the wheel.

Gripping the large golden wheel that glowed with power, I didn’t hesitate to spin it hard and fast.

Soft ticking filled the void as the wheel flickered through names, some recognizable, some not.

Eventually, it stopped on a very recognizable one.

[Unique Powers - The ability to gain more Eternal’s powers and abilities, gained during times of distress, randomly, after a certain amount of time, or something else. Future species have potential to be unlocked]

The three names were recognizable enough, each of them had quite a bit of power under their belt, with Sersi herself being by far the most useful. Her power was insanely powerful, and had a lot of use for the future.

Each of them were more than enough for a world like TVD, for the most part at least. I’m not sure how strong the Gods were, or how strong the witches actually were. Because I am sure that the show didn’t truly show how strong they were, because of budget and such things.

The woman couldn’t continue her thought process as everything went dark, while her body glowed, and promptly disappeared.

[3rd POV] [Location - ??????????]

Within a medium-sized apartment, a gorgeous woman lay. She was tall, was brunette, had B-cup breasts, and a lean, athletic figure, with an immense amount of womanly charm. She was…incredibly beautiful, to say the least.

Slowly, her eyes began to flutter, revealing chocolate brown eyes. A soft groan escaped her lips as she began to sit up.

Looking to her surroundings, the woman blinked in confusion, before realization hit her.

“It wasn’t a dream…” She muttered, revealing an alluring English (British) accent.

Hearing her voice, she hummed “Seems I’ve still got the accent, but not the same body…” She said, as she got to her feet, stretching as she did so.

“Hmm, I’m a little taller too. I was 5’8 in my past life, so I must be around 5’10 now…not a bad change” She said, looking over her body with a nod of appreciation. She had an athletic body, but not a ton of muscle that was showing, keeping her womanly charm, while still being healthy looking.

Walking, she found a mirror and looked into it, before blinking in surprise at what greeted her.

“I suppose I should have expected this. The memories in my head already show exactly who I am now, in body at least” The woman muttered.

“I am Sersi, or at least, I have her name, body, and even powers, alongside Druig’s and Kro’s. Better than my old name, I guess” She hummed, looking over her form.

The assimilation of memories happened when she was unconscious, only now did she notice it. Her mind was powerful, incredibly so. All thanks to being a deviant and Eternal fusion.

Reaching over, she softly touched a nearby flower within a vase. The flower instantly changed and turned into a pencil.

“Seems my power works as intended” The woman now known as Sersi muttered, before turning the pencil back into the flower it was moments before.

“The other powers should work just as well, but they cannot be practiced…not without a test subject at least” Sersi said with a sigh, as she slowly exited her new bedroom, walking into the living room of her new apartment.

“...Quite nice” Sersi said with a small smile gracing her beautiful face. She liked her new apartment, while not as good as her home in her previous life, it was more than enough.

Walking, she noticed a small note laying on the coffee table in the living room.

Grabbing it, she began to read it.

“If you are reading this, then you have successfully reincarnated. Congrats! Welcome to your new life, I do hope you enjoy it.

Considering your love of this universe, I’ve taken the liberty of placing you in New Orleans, in an apartment just out of the French Quarter.

The fourth episode, Tangled up in Blue has started, and the party should be soon. So I’d suggest you get to the Quarter soon.

Use your power well, or whatever you want really.

‘Hmm, looks about what I was expecting. I would have preferred to start in Vampire Diaries, but I suppose this is fine’ Sersi thought, reading over the note with a hum.

Starting in Vampire Diaries would have been better for power gain, but she could still get a lot out of this timeline as well. With the power of Kro, who could absorb the power, abilities, and knowledge of those he killed and absorbed. With a power like that, in a world like TVD, she had more than enough room to grow in the future.

Tapping the paper, she walked to the kitchen as it harmlessly turned into rose petals.

The kitchen wasn’t too big, but it did have some food in it, but most importantly, it had coffee, a lot of coffee.

Grabbing the coffee, Sersi moved and sat on her couch with sigh.

“I suppose I should make my way to the Quarter, shouldn’t I?

The love interest for this is Rebekah AND Freya. Both the Mikaelson girls. As I thought it’d be different, as I’ve never seen that done before.

Question: Would y’all rather I continue to make new/random vault fics, or get one vault fic up to like 10-20 chapters? If so, which one? If y’all vote that, I’ll update it more regularly, like once every couple of days or so. Then once I get it to like 10 chapters, I’ll move to a different one, so on, so forth.

Gemma Chan is drop-dead gorgeous, so I thought she’d be a good fit for an appearance.

Not sure if Unique Gamers will get updated today or not, as I’m not feeling the best right now. If not, then I might just upload another Vault chapter when I’m feeling better.
