[3rd POV]
It was the next morning, and the group was on their way to To Tondc. Clarke was already on her way back to the rest of the Sky people, while Eivor and Lexa (alongside the small group that joined them) were on their way to Tondc.
Walking next to Lexa, Eivor expertly ignored the glares of the other grounders that had joined up with them, as she began to speak.
“So, what’s Tondc like? It’s my first time being to a village in this area” Eivor asked.
“It is…small, but it is home for many. It may not be as large as the village you hail from, but it is still charming in it’s own ways” Lexa responded.
“How far out are we?”
“We’ll be reaching Tondc any moment now” Lexa said, ignoring how close she and Eivor were.
“And who’s the leader of the village?”
“Chief Indra, a trusted friend, and ally of mine. She may be…distrusting, but she will work with you, after hearing of what you offer. She isn’t in Tondc at the moment, but will be soon” Lexa responded after thinking for a few moments. Most likely contemplating whether or not she should reveal that fact or not.
“Seems you two have that in common” Eivor said with a small chuckle, while Lexa rolled her eyes.
“Although, it seems like most grounders are distrusting of me” Eivor said, glancing at the grounders that were walking nearby.
“It is in their nature. I am their Heda, it is only natural they don’t trust a stranger around me” Lexa replied, glancing at the tall woman walking next to her.
“I suppose that is true. But it must be exhausting”
“What must be exhausting?” Lexa asked in confusion.
“Not trusting others constantly, always be on edge, always looking over your shoulder” Eivor responded. Sure, with her knowledge of her “other life” she had experienced something similar, but in this life, she hadn’t ever experienced such a thing.
She had people that she actually trusted surrounding her, that’s without including her summons. The fact that Lexa didn’t seem to trust anyone was…kind of sad to be honest.
“That’s the life grounders live, and I as Heda must live” Lexa responded, slightly surprised at Eivor’s response.
“You may be their leader, but even a leader needs time off Lexa. You’re young, younger than most. Haven’t you ever wanted to do something other than lead a bunch of ignorant adults that fight amongst eachother like a bunch of bickering children?” Eivor asked, looking to Lexa who went silent for a few moments.
“As Heda, I must worry about all of my people. Things like “Time Off” and “Fun” Isn’t something I have the time or luxury to enjoy” Lexa responded, stone-faced.
“Well, I guess I’ll just have to bring the fun to you then, won’t I?” Eivor said with a grin, causing Lexa to blink and turn to her.
“What do you mean “Bring the fun to me”?” Lexa asked, frowning.
“I mean, I’ll find something you can do for fun, without it impeding on your ability to lead. Hmm…perhaps chess? It’s a pretty enjoyable game, and is good for tactics too” Eivor muttered, thinking of ways to actually bring Lexa some sort of enjoyment.
She had come there to meet her, but now she just wanted to help the girl. The fact that she hadn’t seemed to have any sort of fun for…who knows how long, was saddening to say the least. It was angering that they would put all that on someone who was literally like 19 or so, which is a little younger than Eivor, who was currently 20, while Clarke was 18 at the moment.
“Chess?” Lexa asked, having heard what Eivor said. Interest slightly showing on her face.
“It’s sort of hard to explain, but it’s a game based entirely around strategy, and moving small “Chess pieces” that each move in a different way. It’s something from the Old World that I reintroduced to my people. I’ve got a chess set in my bag, if you want to play it later” Eivor responded.
She brought it with her as she actually enjoyed playing it, and also because she had a feeling Lexa would enjoy it.
“...Perhaps we will later” Lexa responded after a few moments.
Eivor grinned “Good, I’ll hold you to it”
“I said “Perhaps”” Lexa responded with a small huff.
“Perhaps is pretty much a “Yes” in my eyes” Eivor grinned out.
Lexa simply rolled her eyes, before stopping “It seems we’re here”
Eivor blinked before turning forward as they walked through some shrubs, revealing a rather…small village. It was easily the smallest village she had ever seen…and it was…kind of pitiful to be honest

‘Definitely going to help them upgrade this, because this is kind of sad’ Eivor thought, comparing it to her own villages. It was not even half the size of the smallest village in her Kingdom.
“It’s…pretty small, isn’t it?” Eivor asked as they walked closer.
“Most villages are. Is yours bigger than this?” Lexa asked.
“Probably ten times the size at least” Eivor responded with a chuckle.
“Really? That is quite…large, wouldn’t that be more of a city than a village?” Lexa asked, surprised with the size. The only village she knew of that could compare to that, is Polis, which is the capital of the Coalition (kind of) and is many times larger than Tondc.
“Hmm, I guess. But it looks more like a village than a city to me” Eivor replied with a small shrug.
Walking into the village, Eivor ignored the stares she was receiving, as she followed after Lexa.
“Heda, who is this…woman?” A man asked, walking forward. He was speaking in Trig.
“A potential ally and asset” Lexa responded simply, before she kept walking.
Walking into a small “House” of sorts, Eivor surveyed the surroundings. It was…small, but was rather homely. Having a bed, chair, desk, and some other stuff you’d expect. Only it was more…medieval esque due to the obvious lack of technology.
“Not bad” Eivor said with a hum.
Lexa ignored her and sat on her makeshift throne, which was basically just a large chair.
“So, Eivor, what is it you have to offer me and my people?” Lexa asked after a while.
Eivor raised an eyebrow at the question, before speaking.
“A number of things. The jerky, books, seeds for different edible fruits and vegetables. Like Wheat, apples, oranges, pears, lemons, pumpkins, watermelon, different peppers, and all sorts of others. As well as teachings that may be of use to your people, such as better ways of building homes, stuff like that” Eivor responded with a smile.
“And what would you ask for in return?”
“For seeds, I’d want ones that my village does not have. More…unique ones that may be native to this region. For teachings, I’d ask for your teachings in return, books on them would be preferable. The jerky…just consider it a gift” Eivor said with a smile, as she reached into her bag and brought a small paper.
Handing it to Lexa, Eivor watched as she read through it.
“...Thank you, truly” Lexa said, practically drooling at the thought of more tasty jerky. As well as the fact that she’d have a new way of preserving foods for her people.
“Not a problem Lexa, not a problem”
“Once Indra and the other clans arrive, I will introduce you to them so that you may begin trade” Lexa said, causing Eivor to smile and nod.
“Good, that’ll make things a lot easier on me”
Lexa went silent for a few moments, before biting her lip and speaking.
“What was the game you wished to introduce me to? Chess, was it?”
Hearing the question, Eivor grinned.
“You and I are going to have so much fun!”
Lexa began to question if this was a good idea or not.

That’s the end of the chapter!
Sorry about the quality, I was struggling to find a direction for this chapter, so this was the best I got lol.
Next chapter (Whenever that may be) will have more Lexa and Eivor moments. And potentially even some Clarke and Eivor moments. She’ll get with Lexa rather quickly, just as Lexa and Clarke did in canon. Clarke will come a little later, towards the end of the Mountain Men conflict.
I plan on uploading more Vault chapters today, so be ready for that.
Anyways, have a good day, see you tomorrow!
