[3rd POV] [Old Bennett Home]

Sitting within the old wooden home of the Bennetts of old, Valkyrie was sitting on an old stool, as she thought. 

‘System…claim the essences’ 

[Essences Chosen!]

[Essence of the Transcendent Self]

[Essence of the Elder Blood]

[Essence of the Assassin’s Creed]

[Essence of Food Wars]

[Essence of Middle Earth]

[Essence of Vikings]

[Essence of the Warriors]

[Essence of the Hanma Bloodline]

[Essence of the Essential Body Mod]

[Essence of Shattered Limiter]

[All blades gained from these Essences will fuse]

‘...Wow’ Valkyrie thought, as she read through the ten essences she got (info in the Chapter 6 essences post). 

‘So not only am I about to get the One ring and the Ring of Eden. But I’m also getting a shit ton of magical power, knowledge in various areas, and monstrous talent in martial arts…not to mention the ability to teleport and all that from Elder Blood, even if it’s limited at the moment, will be helpful. The shattered limiter that would make me twice as strong per year, from doing nothing. Transcendent self which would make my immortality truly powerful. And I’m going to receive my very own blade, one that seemingly is going to be quite strong’ Valkyrie thought with a grin. 

‘Not to mention I’m technically the avatar of Odin…the God my family believes in more than any other’ Valkyrie thought with a happy smile, as she read the next notification. 

[Would you like to assimilate?] [Y/N]

Reading this, Valkyrie breathed in and thought ‘...Yes’

As she thought this, everything began to go dark, as the system forcefully put her unconscious, so that her body, and very soul may properly undergo the assimilation of the new Essences of power.

[Hours Later]

Laying on the ground of the Old home, Valkyrie’s body glowed. Power rolled out of her in waves as more and more magical energy converged on her form. 

Her body had changed very little. The only true difference was that her beauty and…grace had improved even more. She also had a noticeable increase in muscle, especially on her back. Not to mention the two rings that gleamed powerfully upon her right middle finger and ring finger. The Ring of Eden and the One Ring. 

Slowly Valkyrie’s eyes began to creep open, revealing glowing blue eyes that shone with power. Getting up, she sighed as her bones popped. Memories not her own swirled around in her mind, memories in assassination, swordsmanship, cooking, blacksmithing, archery, and more. 

Getting to her feet, Valkyrie let out a happy sigh ‘Fantastic…truly fantastic’ Valkyrie thought, as she clenched her fist. Her mind felt even more powerful, her physical attributes were even stronger than before, far surpassing any other being of her species. Which, to her knowledge, was Werewolf. She was also pretty sure she was a Witch, thanks to her magic, but she wasn’t entirely sure if she’d be classified as one or not. If so, then she was a one of a kind hybrid.

Gazing at the rings on her fingers, she smiled as they glowed ever so softly ‘The One Ring and Ring of Eden…perfect jewelry if I do say so myself’ Valkyrie thought with a happy smile, as she walked out of the house. 

‘Hmm, a couple of hours have seemingly passed. Looks to be noon-ish. The Bennett house should be near or within Mystic Falls, probably a few minutes out through a drive’ Valkyrie thought with a hum, as she began to walk away from the home. 

“Thank you for all the help you have given me…I’ll repay this debt to the last of your bloodline, I’ll make sure of it” Valkyrie softly said, knowing the spirits of the old Bennetts could hear her. Bonnie was one of her favorites when she originally watched TVD, so she wasn’t against helping her, especially not with the way she was constantly used by Elena.

Smiling as she felt a soft hum, Valkyrie walked off in a random direction, ready to return to the world of the living, and ready to meet the modern world.

[1 hour later]

After an hour of walking, Valkyrie finally made it to what seemed to be a small, and very recognizable town. The town of Mystic Falls. She had munched on some lembas bread she had eaten from her bag of infinite lembad bread. 

Walking into the town, Valkyrie received…a number of looks, but she masterfully ignored all of them. While walking through the streets, she expertly pickpocketed dozens of more…wealthy looking individuals. She did this for a while until she had a decent chunk of change. 

‘Hmm, so it’s October 21th 2010…if my memory serves me correctly, then a certain ball should be held tomorrow’ Valkyrie thought with a small grin, as she read the date on a nearby newspaper. 

‘Seems I’ll be seeing my family far sooner than I was anticipating’ Valkyrie thought with a pleased smile, before walking and finding a neary clothing store.

[Several Hours Later]

Several hours had passed since Valkyrie had gotten to the town, and a few things had happened. 

For one, she got some proper clothing, a phone, and had even managed to find a couple of grimoires. How? Turns out bookstores sometimes had some goldmines and didn’t even know it. Hell, she even managed to get herself a car, and a hotel room. The Apple of Eden was quite the boon for that sort of stuff. As even if she got pulled over for whatever reason, it wouldn’t matter as she’d just use the apple of eden and boom, they’ll leave her alone. 

[The Car]

Sitting in her hotel room, Valkyrie was reading through a grimoire. The book itself was mostly full of super basic spells, like incendia (fire spell), Suctus Incendia (fire extinguish spell), and several other elemental spells, a couple of locator spells, and several offense spells, like the one that inflicts pain, similar to a witches passive ability. 

“Hmm, these spells seem…laughably easy” Valkyrie muttered, as a small flame floated above her palm, dancing silently as she moved it around in various ways. 

The combination of her various essences made it…easy to learn, ridiculously so. She got the incendia spells, and within an hour, she had read through the two Grimoires and had mastered all the spells inside. None of them were particularly difficult or anything, but still, it was an impressive feat for a newbie in magic like her. 

“Hmm, perhaps I can warp them? These spells can certainly go further with me imbuing more magic into the spell. But perhaps combining the words with others could create some better spells. Incendia Bomba could be one, creating a fire bomb of sorts” Val muttered as she began to contemplate all the ideas she now had. Several hundred ideas swirled around in her mind as she contemplated all the different spells she could create in the future. 

“Definitley going to need to test all of that in the future. But for now…for now I sleep” Valkyrie said, deciding to get some sleep, genuine sleep. As her time in whatever the hell she was in during her 1000+ years of imprisonment, she couldn’t sleep even the littlest bit. 

‘And tomorrow…tomorrow I shall see my family once again’
