Chapter 90 [Vault]

Title - The King of Monsters | Chapter 4

[3rd POV] [? months later]

Deep within the depths of the Ocean Ghidorah began to slowly stir. After months of hibernating from the new evolution of power, and adapting to the immense, and powerful energy that flowed through her being, she was finally waking up. The magical power she had obtained, alongside the knowledge that she had now begun to gain, was…incredible. Enough magical power to do just about anything she wished, even more than what Octomus himself normally had, courtesy of her other species boosting the magic more and more. 

As her six eyes began to blink open, Ghidorah let out a low grumble ‘How annoying…’

[Hidden Quest - Survive until the beginning of everything, aka, the Avengers. Reward - 3 tickets]

[Quest Assigned!]

[Quest - The Avengers are going to need all the help they need, as this world is not the same as you remember, with certain individuals being closer to their comic counterparts, certain forces being stronger, such as the chitauri. The invasion will be much stronger than before, aid them, and save the world from certain doom. Reward - 3 tickets]

Reading this, Ghidorah frowned deeply, realizing that this universe was not the canon MCU,  but could potentially have comic influences thrown in. She also noticed how rewarding the “Survive until the beginning of the Avengers” quest gave, which made her realize even more that this world must have been even more dangerous than she thought. That, or the system was giving her one last “gift” of sorts, before the big stuff begins to go down, and the rewards will slow down. 

‘...Use those tickets, system. It seem’s I shall need all the power possible for this battle’ Ghidorah thought, not liking the idea of being weaker than someone, her very DNA revolted against such an idea.

‘Those are…underwhelming in comparison to what I could have gotten…will I go unconscious for months again, should I assimilate?’ Ghidorah inwardly asked the system .

[Negative. The host went unconscious due to the addition of magic, which the users body was forced to evolve and adapt in order to propery use the new energy, as well as strengthen it in accordance to the species the user currently has]

Seeing this, Ghidorah inwardly thought ‘Go ahead and assimilate then’

As she thought this, she was almost instantly surrounded by a glow, it was a mixture of bone white, icy blue, and red, as power began to flood her being. The ocean surrounding her began to rapidly freeze, spreading not only from the ocean floor - which is where she was - but also the ocean for miles in her surroundings. 

The increase in power wasn’t even remotely close to the previous one, but it was still truly immense, as the glow that surrounded her form began to cease after only a few minutes. There was little difference to her form, besides her scales now having a slight glitter of white flickered throughout. She was also slightly larger, standing at 225 Meters (738 feet). 

Opening her six eyes, her faces grinned widely as the ice melted around her, within what was basically an instant. 

Before she could think about her new powers, she stopped when she felt a very recognizable being standing at a beach in Florida. 

‘Hmm? Seems the little spider wishes to see me’ Ghidorah thought, only to blink when she sensed several others with her, two of which are…much stronger than the others, almost like they were….divine. 

‘Seems the quest was talking much sooner than I was expecting’ Ghidorah thought with a small scowl, before she shook it off and sighed, her form glowing as she began to rapidly swim through the waters of the Ocean.

[With Natasha]

“So…no offense, Romanoff,  but what exactly are we doing standing on a random beach in the middle of nowhere in Florda?” A man with a goatee asked, he had a red and gold suit of armor around his form, and a glowing triangle on his chest. This, was Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man. 

“Like I said, Stark, we’re waiting for someone” Natasha replied, as she stared off into the distance, waiting for Ghidorah to show, inwardly hoping she actually did show up, as otherwise this was about to be embarrassing. 

“Ma’am, are you sure this is the right time?” Another taller blonde haired man asked. He had a rather…uncomfortable looking suit on his body, with stars and stripes being the most noticeable thing about it. This, was Steve Rogers, aka Captain America. 

Natasha just ignored them as the waves began to pick up slightly. 

Another tall blonde man with longer hair, a cape and armor spoke “It would seem whoever it is you are waiting for, is arriving” This, was Thor, aka the God of Thunder. 

The group just watched in confusion as slowly stepped out a tall blonde woman, with powerful slightly glowing eyes, and not a droplet of water trickling off her form. This, of course, was Ghidorah in her human form. Standing at over 6’2, with evident muscle around her form, and a gorgeous figure.

“I see why you’ve called for me. It seems the Trickster is causing you some issues, isn’t he?” Ghidorah asked with an amused smirk on her face, staring down Natasha who just sighed. 

“Yeah, of course you know that. So, are you going to help us?” Natasha asked, causing Ghidorah to glance at the others. 

“Ah, the God of Thunder? Not surprising that you’re here, I suppose. That father of yours must not be happy with your brother” Ghidorah said, causing Thor to look at her in slight confusion, as all of his well honed instincts were screaming at him to not offend the woman in front of him. 

“So is no one questioning that a random - very attractive - woman just walked out of the Ocean? Just me? Okay” Tony asked, looking at the others who were more focused on the talk that Ghidorah was having. 

“You know of me?”

“It’s hard not to with that hammer of yours, it’s quite the powerful thing. Plus, your father is one of the only Gods that I respect even a littlest bit, so I kept an eye on you. The rest of them are a bunch of arrogant weaklings” Ghidorah replied, glancing at the hammer at his waist. 

“Um…thank you?” He replied, not really sure what to say to that. 

“No problem. You Asgardians are much more respectful than the likes of Zeus and his ilk” Ghidorah waved him off, before walking past them. 

“Are you coming or are you going to stand there like idiots? I’m not here to waste my time” Ghidorah said as she walked into the Quinjet. Inside was a man with shackles upon his wrist, long dark hair, and slightly strangely colored eyes. This, was Loki, the God of Mischief. 

“You’re much less impressive than I was expecting” Ghidorah said bluntly as she sat down, looking at the God in front of her. He was…weak, much more so than Thor. All he had going for him was his magic, and that was vastly weaker than her own. 

“And who are you, mortal?” Loki asked with a scowl. 

Ghidorah at these words, just fiercely glared at the little god, causing him to flinch back as she spoke “I suggest you watch your tone with me, weakling” 

The man averted his gaze at those words, as every instinct within his body told him to avert himself. The natural power and killing intent Ghidorah gave off was…unlike anything he had ever felt. 

“Try to not antagonize him, please?” Natasha asked, as they all walked in to see Loki sweating bullets as Ghidorah glared fiercely at him. 

At these words, Ghidorah glanced at Natasha with a raised eyebrow, before leaning back. “I’ll stop for now, but I suggest you watch yourself” Ghidorah replied, as she closed her eyes. 

“Well isn’t she a joy…” Tony muttered, inwardly wondering who the hell this woman was, and how she was able to talk like that without Romanoff saying anything back. 

Ghidorah on the other hand, had only one thought on her mind at that moment. 

‘This…might be more annoying than I thought’

That’s the end of the chapter!

I realized that I haven’t actually given her a faceclaim, so I decided on Sophie Turner! It was either her or Morgot Robbie. Should I keep it as Sophie Turner? Personally I thought Sophie is the perfect faceclaim for someone like Ghidorah, even if I’ve used her before. 

I plan on uploading some more vault chapters soon, maybe later today. Including more of that walking dead one, and potentially a couple of new ones.
