"Couldn't you hydrate before the performance?!"
I about choked on my cereal xD can't say this is one of my fave eps, apart from the Buffy/Angel interactions (yes, I'm a Bangel girl, hee). But to echo what someone else said, you make these eps/reactions worth watching.
Although, most of us cannot forgive Angel's random beige jacket xD

Proof that the human monsters can be just as scary as the vampires and demons.....

I know Thor has liked Cordelia this whole time, but I am really warming up to her more this season.

Another great reaction. I really enjoy and appreciate the thought and emotion you put into each episode.
I'm so pleased and somewhat surprised, to see a guy like you reacting to Buffy. At your age, I was teased for liking the show. But I loved this genre. Buffy, Angel, Supernatural, X-Files, Nikita, Sliders, Xena, Quantum Leap ... the list goes on and on. '90s TV was filled with off-beat shows that were strange, sometimes ridiculous, but always fun and exciting. Considering the times we are living in right now, I wish we had more quirky TV today to lighten the mood.
May I make a request? Would you consider tagging your post? If life drags me away for a week or two, it can take a bit of scrolling to find past posts in a series. I didn't realize that you had continued with the Star Wars saga beyond the first trilogy until I happened to scroll down through your posts. Earlier, when I searched for "Star Wars", only the first 3 showed up. I bet newcomers would appreciate tags as well, making it easier to find the start and catch up on your reactions. Just a thought.

I honestly love how you just take all these Buffy episodes as they are. This ep is considered one of the weaker ones in the fandom but you always manage to see the intent and the deeper context (such as the grieving mother in this ep). These reactions bring so much joy to my week so itâs so great seeing you consistently enjoy this show!
Some thoughts:
- âIndecorousâ (hmm time for google dictionary đ)
- Giles & Jenny - Iâm so glad youâre rooting for them. I want Giles to be happy too! haha. In general S2 is already starting to build on the relationshipsâŠBuffy/ AngelâŠpossibly Xander/ Willow. Itâs cool that youâre picking up on the character development already.
- Xander & Willow - Iâd have to agree with a previous comment about Cordy. I think that final scene was more about showing her genuine side (by thanking Xander). I think Xander did want to speak to Willow but I do think he has a special disdain for Cordy and that was definitely a factor in his reaction. Iâm also not convinced of relationships where a friend later realises what was in front of them all along. From personal observations, these type of relationships either donât last or become passionless in the long run. If youâre friends for a long time, itâs comfortable and that affection can be mistaken for attraction/ romantic love, so I donât trust attraction that âneeds time.â Otherâs can see it differently but this has been my observation/ experience. Also regardless of whether Xander is developing feelings for Willow, his saltiness towards Angel is proof enough for me that heâs still not over Buffy or at the very least, not committed to the idea of him and Willow.
- Angel & Cordelia - I agree they would have an interesting dynamic considering how stoic Angel is. I personally donât see romantic chemistry with them though.
- I loved how you could feel the pain of Darryl and his family and the message about dealing with grief. I agree that the motherâs grief was realistic and that showing her really grounded the bizarre frankenstein plot. I also found Darryl watching the football game from the bleachers was so poignant too. I truly empathised with him missing his glory days and his fear of being alone.
- Yes Buffy has some bad ass moves. Rewatching this reminds me why I wanted to fight like her as a kid :)
- Also the funniest part of the episode was Cordeliaâs scream. Doesnât she have the best scream? haha.
- FYI: Although I wouldnât say Iâm part of the âI heart Cordeliaâ fan club, I do like her as a character a lot. As you said, sheâs always the target but she doesnât let it phase her. Cordyâs resilience is definitely admirable.
Great reaction. Iâm hyped for episode 3, not gonna lie đ

Great reaction as usual.
By the end though, I wouldnât say that we see Xanderâs growth but Cordeliaâs instead. Xander and Willow have been friends since early childhood, itâs normal for him to ignore Cordelia to talk to her.
As for Xander saving Cordelia, he never backs down when trying to save someone, weâve seen this since the beginning.
What is unusual is Cordelia acknowledging that Xander saved her life and expressing genuine gratitude. And the typical ironic writing of the show is to have Xander and Willow ignore it while lamenting that they canât manage to have a date.

There are only a tiny handful of reactors I would watch what to me are skippable episodes like this one. I watched this entire reaction because you make it so enjoyable!
