Quick note regarding the new rig
Added 2017-06-01 08:19:12 +0000 UTCCurrently there are some stability issues with the new rig, all related to the motherboard's current BIOS (apparently when I chose the RAM I picked something with speeds that were unsupported). I'm tweaking the settings to see if I can get it to work alright, but I'm still dealing with random reboots every once in a while.
I'm testing something new at the moment and if everything's stable I'll stream this weekend. If not, I'll have to wait until the next BIOS update (checking the MSI forums and it looks like the beta's working better than the current one, but I'm sure as hell not installing an unstable BIOS here and risking a brick). Because that's what I get for going with a newly-released set of hardware instead of something aged-but-well-tested.
Pardon the slowness, people, but I'm figuring this out as I go. If by coincidence anyone here has a Ryzen 7 system with an MSI B350 Tomahawk motherboard who can give me some pointers regarding these random memory-related reboots, give me a poke 'cause this is the first time I've ever had to mess around with BIOS settings so much and I'm not sure if I know what I'm doing.
