890 - Spare Us, Cutter (12/2/24)

We do the work of having conversations and connecting to people by reviewing last week’s Pod Save America episode featuring Kamala Harris’ top campaign staff. Through their telling, it was an amazing feat of data, precision and triangulation that somehow came up just slightly short, but we look at some different “stories to tell” from what they’re able to reveal about the campaign’s strategy. Plus, a Thanksgiving poem from Matt.

Felix’s new series “Searching for a Fren at the End of the World”, an examination of the last 50 years of Conservative media, premieres next Wednesday, December 11, right here on your Chapo feed.

I feel as though the libs are just as evil. They both uphold the neoliberal capitalist hellscape, and the harm reduction argument is less salient when the Democrats alienated minority groups across the board during the election. They clearly aren't interested in protecting vulnerable groups, so what harm would have been reduced? This is a very lib coded argument

Troy Mesman

I’m sorry but fuck trump voters. Does amber’s ripped and thirsty friend make speaking up for assholes a habit? The thought behind voting Harris was harm reduction. So what’s the comparison? Trump was the greater of two evils. Ask the Rolling Stone reporter that’s in the next episode.

M Varnzo

Something from Vince Guaraldi

VAN Fan

What is the piano song before the poem?

verticalray

If anyone could have pulled it off, it had to be someone who would not just break with Joe but bury him six feet under (metaphorically).

Matelda

This idea that Amber talked about where the transphobic attacks aren’t coming from a moral angle is just not true I’m sorry. It’s based on the idea that transitioning is wrong and immoral. A big chunk of the campaign against trans people (including what Trump has said) focused on the “woke agenda mutilating children.” It’s extremely viscerally hateful!!

Lauren Heinze

Yes, though Lovett is far and away the worst. Just a terrible personality: mean, whiny, petty, bitchy, dull-witted but with a condescending superior attitude, constantly flat-footed in the face of the slightest call for introspection.

J Fitz

Amber haters are fucking lame

The analogy of kids being more mad at their complicit moms than abusive dads is so, so good.

These Matt poems are straight gas

Uriah Wilson

It’s very nostalgic for me because When I was a little kid my big sisters would play that song on repeat on 7” single.

Fernslinger

I love the interplay between Amver and Felix bc I am incredibly annoying

Grease Witherspoon

As many mistakes as the Harris campaign made, I can admit she didn't have a chance. When the senile incumbent announced his re-election campaign with a 30% approval rating in 2022, and the cost of living kept going up, we should have all known this was a done deal for Trump

Grease Witherspoon

I’ll never forget the evil that was the pod bros using Ady Barkan as a prop to pull people away from Bernie Sanders in 2016. They are pure ghoul.

NewTooshFatoosh

Ugh. It's salient political commentary. What did you come for?

BeauRegards

I'm gonna say it. Amber gets too much hate from the fans. She has some cringy takes, but overall I really enjoy her on the show. She's funny! If anyone starts to grate on me, it's Felix lol.

BeauRegards

I recommend Delaware Dan "No Problem" podcast, re: tulpas, pathing, LLCs, etc.

Still can't get over "strokes of genius"

Man2quilla

i worked the last kamala event in pittsburgh setting up the stage, and the kamala people were some of the dumbest zoomers ive ever seen on my life. couldnt decide what size of banners to use so they had us build all of them OFF THE STAGE (theyre modular aluminum frames linked together) then bring them onto the stage. they had more than enough people but they kept threatening to call non union hands for no reason. one lady was in HEELS IN AN ABANDONED BLAST FURNACE OUTSIDE and had this necklace with a huge silver map of isreal. some of those zoomers i dont think have ever touched a hammer in their lives

Elisabeth Koromaus

“Plouffe” as the new placeholder for all things useless or false.

Yeah but in my defense

She went hard behind the net

Zach Pierce

The biggest problem with the Cheney pick is that it sent a clear signal that the Harris' campaign was taking the support of Democratic voters for granted. Re-election cycles are all about motivating the base. It was obvious a year ago that the Democrats needed to do a lot more to mobilize soft Democratic support -- particularly with younger voters. Instead of doing that, the party largely abandoned the voters, pulled a Hillary 2016, and chased after "moderate" Republicans.

this reminds me a bit of the uvalde police chief being interviewed after the massacre they refused to stop, and when asked how they could let this happen he was like "first of all, we did a great job. all of our officers are going home safe tonight and that's a win."

Winston

Chris mentioned it at the end

Gavin Anderson

I disagree. The atrocities committed in Iraq weren't broadcast on social media in real time. We've seen what can't be unseen.

Listened to this again. So we have people who failed out of culture and now do politics (daily wire, etc.) and now we have people who failed at politics and to do culture (the dnc)???

Beej

Nice to hear from Matt! And Chris must speak his truth! Excited about early Xmas gift from Felix. I don’t know what that was, but it was certainly not anyone asking for my vote. Hunger games. Spectacle. Empty noise.

Arielle Curtin

I wonder if they saw Hasan episode of Pod Save

“I did everything right and they indicted meee…” - the democrats RN

Robert Karnick

Yeah it’s those dumb women, right, bros? SMDH

Zach Pierce

His stroke?

Zach Pierce

I’m all for taking the opportunity to point out how stupid this Dem campaign was but I think it’s highly optimistic that Biden will be remembered for Gaza. If the last 20 years of the war on terror are an example of laying bare in front of everyone how horrific and vane glorious our foreign policy is and how each participating administration is able to pass off responsibility to some ethereal other, the Biden admin is safe to occupy a whitewashed history of public service and defending democracy.

Sam Schick

Hell yeah LOL, I hope we can end every episode with “eating the dogs and the cats that are in there”

Alef Khoury

I think we should dirvert campaign resources away from amber's analysis but that's just my consultant ass data-driven opinion idk

etienne

Prester Jon

MICHAEL HIGGINS

if only the dems would listen to refused.

Eric Ellenwood

Sure but it was extremely tight in nearly every one, all of their major bleedoff was in states they didn't compete in plus AZ & NV. There's a lot you can criticize the Harris campaign for re: messaging, spending, basic strategic outlook, etc, but they campaigned in the right places. They didn't divert resources to fool's gold like FL and TX, and they didn't panic and divert time and energy to places like NH and VA when they got a bad poll there. I would contend that their decisions on where to spend their resources was the only entirely defensible aspect of their campaign strategy

Not sure what Amber's point is regarding them campaigning in swing states. Does she think Harris should have done rallies in Alabama or something?

Hall wingfield

"They are thick as thieves except that time she called him racist on national television" fucking perfect Amber like so wild she was even ever choosen

Its a good ending though, you've got half a pie still for tomorrow!

C. Andrew

I am posting public notice that I will be stealing Felix's 'Settlers' joke for visiting family/friends this holiday season. It's the settler way. Also, Nate Silver being more upset towards Biden about Hunter's pardon instead of the Gazan genocide sums up the 'they don't think Palestinians are people' thing perfectly.

C. Andrew

All time Chris Wade contribution at 31:20

Sergei Filipov

You’re all virgins!

Fernslinger

Great episode! Very cathartic. The Cheney thing and the attempt to steal votes from the republicans was especially interesting to me. here in the UK, the Labour Party did virtually the same thing in that they welcomed defecting Tory MP’s and tacked hard to the right. It worked for them but only because the Tory party was insanely unpopular and haemorrhaging support. As soon as the Tories rebuild, all the voters will switch back and the Labour Party will have learned nothing.

Fernslinger

Danika Lagorio and JDawg ConLorde

Im just stoked Matt still has the embalming gas to drop. His poems can still lull me to a hapless entropy

Samson Rambler

No I don't give a shit about PSA but I just worry that while the MAGA "army" of assholes is growing, largely radicalized by listening to other assholes spout off, we're over here also being passively entertained but with the benefit of moral superiority over everyone so our obligation has been met without getting off the couch. I like that Will occasionally has union organizers on and the like and have read Amber's book where she talks organizing so hope to see more stuff like this as we stare down the barrel of the Trumpocalypse is all.

Moved to tears hearing Matt. Haven't heard him since the event, wishing all the best to him and his family, and everyone else during the holidays.

Abeatupbluechevy

part of trump's appeal is that he actually SAYS he believes and is going to do things. he's often bullshitting and/or the things he says are horrible, but people respect someone who at least APPEARS to be a human with beliefs and principles. regardless of whether individual people AGREED with her standing up on an issue like trans rights, they couldn't deny that she actually said something concrete and real as opposed to squirrelling around the issue like a typical politician everyone has been tired of for like 40 years. you seem way less weird when you appear, like, human. that's just way too much of a commitment for a democrat to make though.

Standing up for what's right and telling the truth on trans rights (for example) might have worked. It has worked for a number of popular governors. The right wing is deranged about "woke" stuff because it *is* actually powerful to cast them as the bigots they are. This is how their current base was built in the first place.

And the Democrats' response to the most vile bigots: "we hear you, we see you, you're valid."

Matelda

She should have researched how to win an election

Matelda

It's even worse than that. After he said no to the "bacon is a spice" thing, Kamala's team fed her a new opinion to pretend to have: anchovies are great on pizza. Kamala is such a non-entity that she doesn't even have her own opinions about food. And she doesn't have her own opinions about food to the extent that her podcast appearance, which would have given the guy more views than anything he's ever done just because she was the presidential candidate, got scrapped.

Tommy

They were references for the poetryheads in the audience

Tommy

I’ve been thinking about this a little more and wanted to add a layer to it in that this is the consequence of the DNC’s distain for any actual Democratic principal such that at some point, they realized that they wanted to control who they were having to contend with as peers or rivals for power and could do so by basically controlling the options presented to voters or overly tipping the scales in the direction of establishment candidates like what happened to Bernie in 2016. No, it seems they forgotten that this was a strategy they deliberately chose and now after years of failing to offer anything to their constituents, basically resulting in electoral learned helplessness, they can’t even comprehend why their strategy just doesn’t keep working. They’re a managerial class that forgot that managing itself adds no value to the product being sold; value and some principle to organize it has to exist for management to be relevant so instead they’re basically equivalent to art dealers in a money laundering scheme.

Noctor

I'm not afraid to admit that I parasocially love Matt Christman. Even though the great Devs in the sky tried to nerf his brain, he's still OP.

Max Monlux

its fucking absolutely insane that trump giving his first post-presidency interview to a podcast called "the nelk boys" whose schtick is that they drink corona was step 0 of a successful presidential campaign

etienne

OK, it wasn’t explicitly stated but just listening to the part about the hot ones interview and Kamala’s Apne for it: that has to be just that kind a vaguely racist identity politics thing about Kamala being black and Indian, which further logic makes spicy food in all things spices her particular domain as opposed to the whole Tim Wall’s comment way early on about tacos being too spicy for white people or whatever that was.

Noctor

Chris should host, but be muted most of the time to preserve his background laugh track. Also they should have more frequent interjections from the producer, and Amber should be the producer.

Chuck

Yes. Also, whatever that Bane quote is: you merely adopted the Pod Johns. I was SHAPED by them (in the 2016 election cycle), etc. They suck a lot and are almost never willing to steps outside of the carefully drawn, lucrative lines they’ve made for themselves. I guess I will say that Vietor has spoken to Glenn Greenwald before, and both of the Johns spoke to Hasan. It is at least interesting to me to see what the content of the conversation is when they speak to people with left-aligned views. The WORST shit about them is when they get that dumbass Pfeiffer and the head John (Favreau) to talk election “strategy” and gaslight their audience, which I assume to be replicas of the one 27 year old woman in my office years ago who was obsessed with them and Alyssa Mastromonaco’s memoir

Podcast subscriber 78

i checked out the hasan ep without ever having seen or heard the pod jons before. have they always been so weaselly and sniveling?

Greasy_Jones

I loved seeing a bunch of comments on the PSA episode Hasan went on. Basically “he’s articulating the dissonance I’ve been feeling listening to this pod.” Good for them!

MKatieUltra

@1:03:00 Remember when Harris would be asked a question, then admit she doesn't have an answer because she likes to research it first? To many it sounded like she was trying to be considerate. But what she really meant was "I don't have an opinion, therefore I need to consult some statistical models to tell me what to believe."

Darbley

Firing coaches for nine win seasons at Nebraska in this modern day and age is just delusional. Alabama and Ohio State at least have SOME reasons to have insane expectations.

Chris

Totally, it’s pretty fucking disappointing to hear leftists spouting the talking point that Kamala talked too much about trans issues. She barely mentioned it outside of one or two sound bites. The anti-trans ads and alternative media blasts were a wildly disproportionate response rooted in nothing but visceral hate

Caleb

“Culture is the last refuge of people who don’t believe in politics.” Truly applies to “both sides” of American “politics” in the current era. Great line to keep in mind.

Michael

she really has a knack for restating the thoughts of the rest of the group, but in a much less funny or interesting way

Craven Moorehead

The “Kamala is for they/them” ad is purely meant to invoke a disgust reaction at merely seeing a non-passing trans person and it was their most successful and blanketed the airwaves right before the election. The hate politics has never been more explicit

Ethan Buckner

Let my man Chris cook for once. Also I'm gay. Felix killed in this too.

Tina Paracord

Also context aside best you got is “bacon is a spice???” What the fuck?

Yung Sheldon

The guy who does the “subway takes” tik tok series did an interview where he said that he had Kamala on and wanted to touch on Palestine since he’s Muslim, the campaign declined but he agreed to have her on anyway. When she arrives, her take is apparently “bacon is a spice” which he says completely threw him off bc 1) he’s a Muslim and doesn’t eat pork and 2) they refused questions on Palestine, an extremely important and substantive subject relevant to Muslims. The episode never aired. I don’t usually put a ton of stock into stories of inadvertent insensitivity but to me this story is just insane. The people who ran this campaign are straight up awful people.

Yung Sheldon

I love screaming into the ether blind 🥰 It’s like Plato’s Cave but you can only get there on the short bus and Jeff Dunham and After Midnight are all that’s playing on the shadow puppet wall. 💜

In 2017, I did an internship at Precision Strategies (I now leave it off my resume out of embarrassment). I am from Australia and was a good liberal at the time, I had worked on a fair few campaigns for the Labor Party. I was in awe of these people as the 'Obama campaign geniuses'. It was genuinely a radicalizing experience. I cannot stress how little these people know about anything beyond ads and voter data. They were hired by the UK Labour Party and I had to explain that Conservative and Tory was the same thing. They got hired by a French party and questioned why I included Macron in the list of people to follow on Twitter ("he's not a major party candidate"). I got yelled at for once suggesting that the Hillary campaign did not speak to people's economic needs. It was the same as that episode – they did nothing wrong and it was everyone else's fault. I was doing essentially the same kind of work I did for the Labor Party, but everyone was being paid about 50% of what you would get in Australia working directly for a party. It's really hard to overstate how shitty the work product was but they would charge exorbitant amounts. Realizing how much of a scam the operation was actually helped change my politics a lot. If you have a relative working for them please conduct a wellness check.

Donald Rhodes

Missouri sucks, and even the few areas where any even left leaning polices get passed, like kc, have to fight the rest of the state to get shit done, and since the metro area is split between two red states, it makes it impossible for it to carry the state to be blue like Chicago does Illinois. Our state AG is like 0-64 in state winning court cases, and the entire function of the repubs is to basically make governing as hard as possible. And to top it all off, kc is the only city in the nation who’s police budget is commanded by the state governor, which makes it even more annoying to pass any police reform, because ultimately the issue becomes a statewide ballot issue where the hogs living in random towns vote for police support (they always do, because they think kc is like apocalyptic at all times) even though overwhelming the people in and around kc don’t want to keep the police budget fixed at fucking 25% of kc’s total city budget. Sometimes I pray for the bird flu to break out in Missouri because it’s so annoying how often kc gets dragged behind due to the states constituents and legislature, but then I guess that means people would die, but there are homeless people freezing to death because “kc” and the state would rather fund a jail than a homeless shelter, so I guess that evens out

Chuck Schumer just got unanimously reelected as Senate Democratic Leader. Genuinely insane how people are still hanging onto their grift and not voting for literally any other third party against these self-serving freaks. Self-respect is low among voters fr. What's really nuts is that they're acting like Biden was hit by a bus or something and not that he's an 82 year old who has obviously been in decline for awhile. If it's true that there really was no plan in place for if our oldest president couldn't run again then the Democratic party is even more useless than I thought.

Peevish Giraffe

Great poem Matt, I loved the part about slouching towards DC

Jonathan Szerszen

“The 2024 presidential election featured sky-high turnout, approaching the historic levels of the 2020” what’s wrong with this framing? FEWER PEOPLE VOTED in 2024 than in 2020. I feel like I’m insane. There is no “right wing shift” in America. There are just two very unpopular parties that compete to turn out the most of their own freaks because voting is neither mandatory or universal and our options are pre selected for us. It has always been a contest of enthusiasm, which has nothing to do with democracy!

nati

Hell yeah, a release date for the Felix series! New Matt poem, too!

Did you say Matt's strokes of genius ?

William Pawlowski III

What I'm starting to get about the Democrats is that not only does the party represent a single social class (PMC), but it really only wants to represent that class. The reaching out to suburban Republicans of that class (we're not talking true moderates, but that's their label in the popular discourse) is going for the members of this class that aren't currently in the Democratic social umbrella. This class wants other members of the coalition to be in the coalition only on the terms of the PMC—oh, those poor brown people wanting us to help them! Stopping the outward non-economic effects of racism will be enough for them and doesn't require any skin off our back! Reaching out to other groups and making compromises with them is an anathema to them. Here's the kicker: this group is almost able to pull it off! They're looking at a dark time with declining college applications due to a failure to deal with the student loan crisis, but they're still in the driver's seat. Pity they're guzzling wine before driving.

Demented Avenger

And like the John, they’re all full of shit

NYCM&AHole

I get that Amber's schedule might be a problem, but could we get Amber solo spinoffs? As the one working class Chapo, her perspective is constantly welcome, especially as she has a true no-fucks-to-give attitude

Demented Avenger

One of the reasons people like Trump is because he does not do politics solely for other politicians- he doesnt do it for people neither (he does it for himself and other rich people), but people like taking the break from that politician’s circle-jerk. But for some reason thats not even an option for democratic party media.

Sam

I remember someone describing how politics work in washington saying that the famous "100 days" boil down to how much time your legislators have before it's time to start doing fundraising for the midterms

etienne

Ya because she rocks and was good on this episode

Mike

Missouri should be the next Delaware because Missouri loves company

NYCM&AHole

I hate how long our fucking election season is

NYCM&AHole

Amber really ain't shutting the fuck up on this one

csalyer .

Ok nvm I saw that they immediately addressed that after... Still tho the point stands that Trump does hammer on it and use the Republican playbook just in a more visibly disinterested way

Adeline Rines

"I'm a pod John and I'm here to say: I blame black people every day"

SM21

And other successful Republican politicians are significantly more vicious about it than Trump, it's not that the party is trying to be more libertarian and secular on the issue, it's just that Trump personally doesn't give as much of a shit and doesnt like talking about stuff that bored him. Like at rallies he will be hammering on the trans panic stuff one second and then the next second he'll be like "but I don't see why anybody really cares about it"

Adeline Rines

That's not even what he said!

K H

Raise your skinny arms in the air like antennas!

K H

It also discounts all her time as vice president to demonstrate leadership. I'm not saying every VP would be a bad president BUT it does indicate a person that accepts is mostly Millhouse energy. Idk that such a person could competently politic.

K H

I don't think his brain works nearly well enough.

K H

Omg yes! Trump is the older brother that raises you after your abusive father leaves. He rides a motorcycle poorly and is dating someone multiple grades junior to him. He showed you hardcore porn at 7 and insisted he fucked a girl with bigger boobs than that once. Where is mom? Mom!? She's posting and drinking and scrolling okcupid or plentyofish. The house is filled with the stench of burned eggs. You're beamed in the head by a toy big bro stole and ran over, you see the victim crying dejected on the grass. You are so fucking cool. Fuck that kid.

K H

Felix begins speaking at 2 minutes and 19 seconds. also amber is on this episode.

Travis

Time to put computer away

Ryan

Eberflus 2028

Beej

Mm don’t think Amber is right about the anti-trans stuff — Trump does say “it’s wrong, it’s sick” all the time, idk what rallies or speeches she was watching.

KS

Banger after banger from Felix 6 minutes in. He’s hot today folks!

Ingo Tillessen

Especially since the Trump campaign had gone all in on dementia Joe messaging and was completely wrong-footed and panicked when they replaced him. The guys who the Dems lost to were in essentially the same position, having to completely re-tool the campaign with limited time.

Ian H

"His family was killed several times." lol

Kyle Palmer

It’s nuts because that’s still longer than the average candidate gets after winning the primary

Max Headroom

Slop it up and slop it out!

Ozzie

his cohost has been fed into a tree shredder after he predicted a slim kamala victory

etienne

The talk of murals reminded me of a Rage Against the Machine lyrics, forgot the song(Wake Up I think it is) but "20/20 vision and murals with metaphors". Oy Vey.........🫠

Michael Wadman

oh we’re so back baby

David Exelby

The pod save Cold War going hot again is like putting on a warm blanket of familiar hatred I never knew I needed

Tim Mullen

This is the most important election ever, that is why we keep lying about Biden's record or about Gaza, but we can't tell a lie about Kamala maybe slightly changing things from what unpopular Biden is doing right now!

Žiga Iglič

When Felix brings up King Von in the first 5 minutes, you know it's going to be a good episode

Muovi

I agree with everything you guys say but also, don't talk about my state. Our patching is fine!

kjell

She also wants to release the American Freikorp from prison, giving Trump back his most outraged and committed followers. Almost like they know the history and are fine with all of us being killed.

Jay Stephens

Fellow early-in-life stroke survivor here: fuckin A you sound good Matt. Fuck yeah brother.

beanbuddy

I choose to believe the narrative that appeared recently that the dems did plan to have a snap primary to replace biden, but ended up with kamala because he threw his support behind her to sabotage the attempt at a primary and stick the dems with a losing candidate as a fuck you That's more entertaining to me

Doug Cartel

The greatest Chapo returns.

James Wallace

Phew thought no one was gonna be insane in these comments, good looking out!

Lukas Kuligowski

How many fucking John's are on this podcast? Make them all talk simultaneously if you're gonna have that many johns

Doug Cartel

I hope Amber is the only person forced into a Handmaid's Tale future with all of the Republican cock sucking she does. Trump has been transphobic ever since the campaign in 2016. If you're using Caitlyn Jenner to defend Trump, just vote for him and shut the fuck up.

Jay Stephens

Amber's point about complete Democrat abandonment of The Wastelands is well taken – I live in the middle of the middle of The Empty Quarter, my state has produced and continues to produce some of the most surreally loathsome politicians in American history, and on the same day Missouri went overwhelmingly for Trump, it also passed a minimum wage hike and a referendum to make abortion legal. The Pod People don't give a fuck about anyone else, but they REALLY don't give a fuck about us Backward Inland Tribes, whom they constantly claim to be saving from Trump while they make certain, over and over, that he'll win. They know exactly the policies that could swing most any state, they're called the fuckin' New Deal, they got the most patrician inbred aristo 4 straight terms on the back of a working class that was ready to throw down for him, and every US Presidential election since 1972 has *consciously*, not just effectively but consciously, been an attempt by Democrats to distance themselves from having been "the party of the New Deal." I'd say you pretty much got THAT job done, bloodless sons of bitches

Michael S. Judge

chris coming in absolutely clutch with god-mode Mr. Beast comparison. he's got it

etienne

this "only 107 days" this is batshit given every other country on earth has its elections done and dusted in a month and change

etienne

I looked through the pod jon YouTube comments on that episode, even the people most primed to buy this were not buying it. Nothing will change but it’s hilarious.

Brian Pierson

hard to argue you are the lesser evil when you run with the literal devil

Kyle Meyer

I just know this is gonna make me ball up my fists real angrily

nat

💯 Plus, it was be a boon to Kamala in particular, as it provided less time within which to screw up.

Phil Hostak

Nice surprise with the title & actually hearing some Echo & the Bunnymen this morning

Christian Johnson

Dang vaccine got to Matt and turned him into Tomas Tranströmer

Professor Jokes

Hell yes I just got through watching these little pod save dweebs getting owned by Hasan. Fucking morons.

NYCM&AHole

Enjoyed all the football talk this ep. Curious to hear who amber thinks will get the last playoff spot, I’ll hang up and listen.

Sam Bondurant

low energy drunk amber at it again

a bugs life

Chris and Matt's power levels continue to increase 💪

Matthew

Woah-oh, Christman poem displayed naturally

Tim O'Connor

I would echo what Amber says in the beginning, except that I would like to see some people hurt: specifically, we add a third head of the executive branch of government, an official scapegoat. Anything that goes wrong, and they get the blame; if a campaign loses, the registered voters for that party get to throw water balloons at the scapegoat in public or something, I don't know, something that would be cathartic for all the baby brains in this country.

Mountain Dew Or Crab Juice

Woah-oh, Amber is the podcast of your energy

Tim O'Connor

Maybe they said "sports figures" instead of "athletes" so they could include Marc Cuban. Don't wanna leave him out, do you?

Brad Plumb

Resubscribed to hear them go after Democrats again :)

Jack

“We may have gotten fewer votes in the Blue Wall states, but we ran the more physical campaign.” Scott Frost, Democratic operative

Jon Rehm

I don't notice this in any way; I increase speed 1.5x and she sounds like everybody else.

MATT TRIANO

The “only 107 days” excuse is so insane to me as a Canadian. Our campaign period isn’t even two months and even that is longer than many other countries

Katie Doyle

Hey WHA HAPPEN

The True Horror

Since Wil mentioned, it is pretty loco Kamala didn’t set up her Campaign HQ in Oakland or at least SF, tho for personal reasons, I’m grateful.

Shivvy

Ryan Day is the only person who’s more of a born loser than the modern Democratic Party tbf

Conor Duffy

Felix and Amber are 🔥 out of the gate

Blank

someone has to put an intoxalock on ambers audio gear, listening to her slur her way through these episodes is getting challenging.

Nick

They are eating the dogs they are eating the cats that are in there

Migz

Matt with the brautigan reference!

Adam

I thank you slop barons for looking on to the face of Pod and returning to tell us. If there's one lesson about winning elections this season it is clearly that cool dance parties are in

Christopher E Musgrave

Yippee!

Alexander

When they say the political headwinds are horrific and also why they can’t find anything wrong with Kamala’s campaign that they conducted is some part hubris but more so just another example of how they conceive of the political process as basically inverted. They think that they have a candidate, the candidate/campaign is what it is, and it’s really the electorate that is deficient. It’s like they want to elect a different electorate.

Noctor

Me and my wife’s boyfriend like to secretly listen to Chapo Trap House in the cum cave together

Shawn

Did I miss the shipping update for No Pasaran! That was promised?

Jordan Stamm

So stoked on Felix's new show. I need Matt brain shit!

Brian Rooney

Lunar

JD Nonce

Amber

TugNuggins

Love our guy Matt Christman ❤️

Robert Connor

New Felix show? Nice.

Gregory D Warren

Hey, wha’ happ-nd?

George Mitri

I watched the Pod Jons (the one who isn’t called Jon) go easy on the Kamala staffers and pat them on the head despite them being the gaggle of people who are most responsible for letting fascism win (by the Jons) own estimations, then I also watched one of the other Pod Jons (one of them who is called Jon) be super combative and disagreeable with Hasan Piker who had decidedly a lot less to do with letting fascism win. We love politics, don’t we folks That said I did look at the YouTube comments section for each (for whatever that’s worth) and it was filled with people saying that the Kamala staffers should be exiled from public life and the non-Jon Pod Jon was being too easy on them and then on the other one all the commenters were saying that Hasan was on point on everything and the Pod Jon had his head shoved up his own arse and wasn’t listening

JD Nonce

Drop your loads, its time to stop gooning

Semine

Thank you Mr. Chapo

Joe

Queen Latifah endorsed this podcast and she never endorses a podcast
