A quick status update
Added 2022-11-10 21:16:58 +0000 UTCAfter testing the scene in VR... Firstly: Wow. I'm happy to report it runs smoothly at 60 fps on my RTX 3080 and Valve Index, so fingers crossed that most people won't have performance issues. My CPU isn't super fast either so that's a good indication.
Secondly: I have a list of 10 small fixes to make the scene work ideally in VR. I've been editing it in desktop mode and was pretty surprised how many things were easy to notice that they were off in VR but were completely OK in desktop mode.
I'm aiming the get everything done in the next 2-3 days, hopefully I can manage that. My to-do list
- fixing the issues found in VR testing
- packaging the Eva look release
- updating the scene to depend on the packaged content, making sure everything works in a clean VAM installation, and that all dependencies are easily downloadable
I've been spending all of my free time on this for almost 2 weeks straight - it's starting to feel like a bit much, to be honest. Initially, I didn't expect to spend more than a couple days on it 😂. Just gotta power through it, then spin things down for a short while. I'm super thankful to everyone staying on board while I've had nothing but teasers to show you!
To spread my workload a little, I will do a staggered release over about 1 week - first I'll release all of the stuff just on Patreon, then a Hub post for the scene a few days later, then a Hub post for the look and finally for TittyMagic. Doing it like this also helps keep a high profile for a bit longer, instead of just a quick spike in interest.
Alright! Catch you soon.

2022-11-11 00:00:44 +0000 UTCLoading times are pretty bad for me, but they are bad for pretty much everyone. I would not worry too much about it as it's an issue with VAM itself. You can optimize your build a little bit with respect to loading times though - buy a reasonably fast SSD, and get 32GB RAM unless you want to restart VAM often or otherwise micromanage your memory usage. When it comes to starting VAM, the loading time increases the more you have var packages. But when it comes to loading a larger scene, there's not really much you can do but wait
