2025-08-27 03:30:41 +0000 UTCThis series was actually up for Anime of the Year but lost to Solo Leveling. The story, the direction, the art, all of it was beautifully done in this series. The story is a lot different than what most people are used to though. Something a lot of people don't realize about Fern's choice of spells, it wasn't just a practical spell. She both thinks like Frieren and also thinks about combat. When they were dealing with Aura's plot against that one city, Fern and Stark were tracked by blood on their clothes. A spell that can clean clothes down to the stitch would have prevented that from happening.
