2023-10-17 21:06:35 +0000 UTCExtra Info: This song was their last title track before disbandent and Hyuna was in this group (You reacted to her last week) she has a long history in kpop she first debuted in Wonder Girls in 2007 but left in the same year due to health concerns. She also left JYP and joined Cube where she debuted in 4Minute in 2009 and also debuted as a soloist in 2010. In 2016 they disbanded because most of the members didn't renew their contract. However there are rumors that Cube made them disband so they could focus on Hyuna more so another rumor formed that the members had animosty towards Hyuna and that's why they disbanded and these rumors recently got reignited because in 2019 they gathered together for their 10th anniversary and everyone was their except Hyuna so there is kinda a divide in the fandom. But in 2017 Cube debuted a special trio with Hyuna and the Pentagon Members Hui and Dawn. They put out two MV's together but then rumors that Hyuna and Dawn were dating started circulating Cube denied these rumors but Hyuna confirmed them which led to her getting kicked out from the company and Dawn getting kicked out of pentagon and the company. But in 2019 they both signed with PNATION and redebuted as soloists and then debuted as a duo in 2021. But it 2022 they both left PNATION after they decided to not renew and in 2023 they announced that they had broken up but are still good friends. And that's that Babymonster: They are YG's first girl group after blackpink. They were announced in a debut trailer and the members were introduced in different video clips of them doing a cover of a song in total 7 members were announced Haram, Ahyeon, Chiquita, Pharita, Asa, Ruka, and Rora. And then YG put out 7 different videos introducing each member more in depth and fans were excited. However a few weeks later YG put out a teaser for Babymonster: The Last Evaluation. The fans got really upset, but not because of the survival show set up but because YG stated in the trailer that not all 7 of them would be debuting. Most fans thought they would end up debuting all 7 and that this was either something said to build more hype or that this was before all the members got announced. Then the show started airing where they had to perform in 2 split groups and then they had to prepare a solo performance. In the last episode they came together as a group to perform Scars To Your Beautiful, but even in last episode YG made sure to say not all of them were debuting and that the final member would be revealed to the public in 2 weeks. Obviosly the fans were PISSED because why would they introduce all the members and make the fans fall in love with them only to say they won't all be debuting. 2 weeks later a video was put out announcing the offical babymonster members YG was in an office and behind him he had a board with 5 blank spots and he had magnets of all the seven members in front of him. He proceeded to name all 5 members that made it and why he didn't pick the other 2 obviously the fans were outraged and in disbelief but not even a minute later he said he wants to take the fans opinions into consideration and flipped the board to reveal that all 7 members were gonna debut. A few days after they posted a video of the members reacting to the announcment video because they didn't know who made it either and a lot of tears were shed. But finally we got confirmation that they were all debuting a few days after that they released an all english predebut song called dream. Their debut was supposed to be in Spetember but it got postponed it is now set for November but we'll see.
